ifrisson thanks for posting this news story. Obama followers however will not believe the truth as they are in the Obama Zombie trance. When Obama was in Iowa he said that "a man in overalls asked a question about Burma and I was surprised because I thought he was going to asked me something about CORN". Obama's biased views of people living in small town America, and his views of White America in general is very disturbing. Thanks again for your posting. 5* rating.
Although the way he initially phrased it was poor, his larger point was correct, that people tend to cling to things that they have left in thier lives that they feel they can control.
People ARE bitter, and pissed off about thier jobs leaving this country, and politicians, from both parties promising to get them back, only for nothing to happen.
what he's saying is that people are bitter about the economy so they cling to guns, religion, or antipathy towards immigrants. People being bitter isn't in question but how he views our Bill of Rights is questionable.
Like I said though, his larger point is correct. For decades, politicians have exploited peoples' differences as a way to distract us from REAL issues so they could benefit from perpetual reelection.
"but how he views our Bill of Rights is questionable."
I'm not so sure that's true either. When I look at his positions on issues, I don't see him as a gun grabber. As a senator whose area includes some inner cities, he has to consider those areas as problem areas when it comes to guns...
