  • Lovelovelove this and have done a few tees this way! My only problem though is that the shirt creeps up my waist (as I have a pretty small waist). You mentioned anchoring the bottom of the lacing in order to avoid that, but I can't quite see what you do there.. What exactly do you mean by anchoring?

  • when you wash the shirt, will it mess up?

  • @channelly210 that's a great question! NO! just make sure you anchor the bottom ties as I show in the video or they could unlace and get caught around in the spin cycle!

  • how would I do this and still leave the sleeves for cooler weather?

  • @KristyStarFire that's a great question...what you want to do is cut at an angle to create a half moon cap sleeve..you begin at the bottom of your oversized tee shirt, begin to angle for your curves then when you get to the sleeve make a sharp left and right literally just cutting as little of the sleeve off....you will still make your armhole under your arm like the sleeveless tee shown....does that help?

  • ok well perhaps friend me on Facebook when you can share the pics? Can't wait to see!

  • Ok, this is so funny! I've been customizing my Tee shirts lately. I've been cutting slits in the sides and either leaving the sleeves and cutting slits into those..or cutting the sleeves off. I also cut and tie the sides of the tee shirts and do the same to the sleeves and shoulders as well. I was sitting thinking to myself what else I should try. I was like oh I know! Lets try to lace up the sides! Then I found this video. Thanks!

  • @Wakishea I love it! will you make a video of what you made? We want to see:)

  • @ClosetControl

Dont know if I can make a video but I have pictures of some I've already done.?

Once I do the lacing Ill take some pictures of that too ^ ^!

  • Gosh thanks....have you made it yet? Show us the results:)

  • Going to do this to my "big" biker tees for Sturgis Ralley this year. Great!

  • @closetcontroll I did. I don't know how to post it as a video response, but it is on my channel in the uploads. Its the most recent upload:) thanks.

  • @kittywittyboo1 I love that your old favorite shirt is now your new favorite shirt. Thanks to a pair of scissors! Thanks for shooting your creation:)

  • I made one today and it looks great! Thanks a lot :)

  • @kittywittyboo1 oh my gosh...will you shoot a video of you in it? I want to see!!

  • Just made one! Its soo cute but I ran into some trouble with the bottom of it...it fits sort of weirdly, is there a specific angle to cut it at? I know you said something about a half-moon in a different video...

  • @TurtleMooseKitty wow so excited to see it...can you shoot a video reply? than I can help you with the bottom....jersey just rolls so you really can't make a mistake curving in a half moon helps if you are curvy at the bottom:)

  • did u make the shirt your wearing i love it! it is so cute :)

  • @FinkBass gosh thanks for your comment..it's actually a tube dress in lycra and the necklace across my body is a belt that i wear alot that way makes it more interesting:)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my channel:)

  • can u make a long shirt with sleeves

  • Thank you for your comment on the sound...are you sure it's not your computer perhaps? This is the first comment on this video regarding sound but agreed there are sound issues on other videos..

  • such bad quality cant hear a thing

  • How long would this last without it falling apart?

    like how many washes?

what can i do to make it last longer?

  • Great video. Best I've seen for shirt fixing. Great explanation along with the footage I think is what really makes it. The "non perfect" system really helps boost conifidence for attempting these things. <3

  • @Katosis Thank you, did you make one? I have a brand new style I just made in honor of the Super bowl...check it out if you want to try that style instead as this muscle tee is not easy to make on a first go...off shouldered tops like the new video are much easier as your body can hide the flaws in the T just like the T one arm top can hide what you feel are flaws better than the muscle T.

  • thanks for sharing your excellent talent... you rock

  • @3:22 DOes She Say " Cutting The Shxt ; ! xD

  • @3:22 DOes She Say " Cutting The Shxt ; ! xP

  • that's so freakin cool.

  • I love it, but I'm too fat for this lol

  • @violinist881 you are not...Style has no size and i have cut these tops for all sizes even women who are pregnant..T-shirts when they are laced completely stretch...try it!

  • @ClosetControl I was large for a large part of my life, yeah you CAN wear them. But it doesn't look good depending on size. She said "fat" you may think "oh she could have a slight bulge". Could be 300lbs and not want to be showing off stretch marks and not "curves" but rolls. Size matters. At my large point (240lbs at 5'3) I would NEVER have been able to pull this off and look good enough to be comfortable. Current size 130lbs I'm still uncomfortable but I know I look fine. :p

  • @Katosis Whoa!!!! Congratulations!!!! you are only 3 lbs more than me...so girl go on and make one!!! I just made a video on a new style...One arm and believe me, I am at my highest weight I have ever been and the one arm tops balance out your body better than the muscle t's do which seems weird but whenever you wear anything off the shoulder it's like dropping 10lbs...I swear ok maybe 5 but balance creates a feeling of not being where you want to be, off balanced like a one arm top? try it!

  • ghetto biker look.

  • Slutty much?

    It's ok, I like!

  • best tutorial i've seen on t-shirt reconstruction! love the shirt, now i've got something new to try can't wait :)

  • @ramones4lyfe Thank you, this means everything to me....did you make one? it's just all about changing up what you've got that you don't want any more....

  • @ClosetControl You're welcome, I haven't made one like this yet, I've got a few different styled shirts that i've made, and i've been looking for something along the lines of this and really happy that i found it

  • What ive learned.

  • O_O whoa! I never thought to do this! Thanks! I had a baby and have recently lost the weight so now its gona be like having new shirts again :D

  • @aeofan Congratulation's on your new little one! You got it, it's like having a whole new wardrobe and they will show you how you are losing the baby weight as you begin to pull the lacing tighter week by week. Love for you to make one and show us especially post baby:)

  • I love it! I just bought a band tee on line and was disappointed when I received it and it's a mans style t-shirt so I love this idea cause i would love to wear it to the concert and keep it sexy :-) awesome tutorial and thanks for sharing...not many people would to that...especially when it's ur business

  • @mysticallove82 ahhh you are soooo sweet! Did you make one? I always say you can knock me off, but you can't knock me off:) so make one and show us!

  • THANKS, your experience of what works (and what doesn't work) teaches us a lot in a short period of time. Love your "keep it simple/don't want to mess with that" approach - that will be me on my next T-victim...

  • @TravelPhotoWriter Thank you!!! I love hearing your comments! Will you share one of your next victim's? Funny enough when I began I cut tops for me smaller than i was...hmmm:)

  • that carera work is feckin dirt! Are we watchint the video to see the tee shirt being cut or your one talk?!!

  • Truly, I didn't know about this until I chanced upon your tutorial yesterday. Fantastic!!! After watching another video, I just turned my tee into a tote bag. Thanks.

  • @Nana9718 Oh my heaven's shoot a video! Is that what you learned from another T-vid? I want to see!

  • i wish the one holding the video would focus on the object more and not keep on moving coz it's really annoying.

But I would also like to comment on how great your techniques are :)

    thanks for sharing!!

  • @jotan23 and thank you for your comments....You really need two cameras to have done what we did, and now i know:)

  • i wish the one holding the video would focus on the object more and not keep on moving coz it's really annoying

  • Omg so cute

  • My balls.

  • She kinda sounds like jwoww from jersey shore haha :)

  • Very nice, I am so going to do this for a concert I

am attending in LA it's great ...I would have never

thought it looked so great without watching this video,

    very epic!

  • @Pinkspiderable Wow, did it work? Did you make a tee for the concert?

  • You're awesome! Thanks for posting this. I got a good tips from your tutorial. It took me a while to construct this one.

  • @jennykb77 Oh but did you? Thank you, show us:)

  • She has LEARNED A LOT!!!!!!!!

  • i wish she would shut up and quit talking about herself idc who she is just cut the shirt already!

  • Respond to this video...Thank you for your comment but I am not talking about myself, I am trying to give you the cliff notes of how to make this shirt in 11 mins. not 2 years which is how long it took for me to perfect a muscle tee vs. a one arm or halter....Try it and you will see!

  • lol, you do this at parties? random! xD

  • @runswithscissors83 it's an amazing party. Major brands like Air Jordan, NIke, Miss Sixty, Skyy Vodka, Guees and on and on have used me at a party. Bat mitsvah's, bday parties...so fun, so tiring...I can cut 40 in 4 hours!

  • what i also learned to do lolz

  • best t shirt design on youtube !!

  • @FrancesMarie89 Really!! I love you!!! Thank you! What do you like about it? I am thinking to do more, would you like to see other styles?

  • hey the blonde chick is hott(:

  • YAY lets pull it TOT!

  • awesome! thanks!

  • the camera man is pissing me off

  • Very cute :) I'm gonna try this

  • @yuliya304 so did you? Post a video will you? Want to see:)

  • thank youuu.... your video helped me a lotsssss...

I got this over sized tee then my boss said to me to cut it off for this event..

I won't to cut it like my friends did it..so common..:p then I saw your video..

to be honest, I'm a dummy at cutting but I succeed!!!!

    thank you

  • @missuppalicious wow! love this!!! so willl you post a video to show us? I want to see!

  • @ClosetControl i'll let u know if i post :)

  • awesomeeeeeeeee! wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • @jenn374 Thank you!!!!

  • I want to know how to make the necklace thingy you're wearing... do you have a video of it|? what is it called?

  • LOVE this!

  • This is by far one of the most informative how-to-vids I've seen pertaining to this subject. A lot of good tips in there. Thanks!

  • @vivorisayamorxoxo Gosh does this mean alot to me!!!! So happy you enjoyed it!!!!

  • awesome - just made three for myself in an hour - tried using some spaghetti strap to tie the bottom corners of the sleeves - made them into a nice gathered shape rather than cutting a v and gives a nice lash-neck look :) pleating is the way to go!

    xxox

  • @TheDiceWoman WoWow! good for you! 3 in an hour is wonderful! Had you made any tees before? Will you show me in a video? I want to seeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • can you submit more tee shirt cutting tutorials??

  • @theegrodfacee really, was thinking about it! I have a lot more styles! Thank you!

  • been doing it for years

  • i dont get how u laced it

  • @iforgotmyname4321 how can I help you? Lacing comes from the bottom of the tee by cutting and pulling and then criss crossing over...it is also the hardest part of the whole shirt to cut the holes...but don't worry about being even..no one will ever see that..

  • u say, what i learned, a lot!!! u should just say it once, i learned a lot of things, then show the things u learned

  • @pajdda1 boy are you right but most pieces you see are edited and this was done in one shot! and I know it's a great lesson but if you were shooting something, you would be amazed at how much you use the same words:)

  • ugh, not my taste..

  • How many oversized t-shirts with logos on them are you sitting on? Earth Day Y'all. Time 2 get Funky!

  • What i also learned....

  • she makes it look so easy

  • Great! The criss-crossing spaghetti is a great idea!

  • talented women good work..!

  • omg u and adam saaks rock that was great ! keep it up girl!

  • Thank you cburrezzy, Adam and I are the OG'ers or rather the grandma and grandpa of cutting tees. Thanks for taking note!!

  • well.. i did that to one of mine and i wore it, i was about to head out my door to go to walmart, and iyt just came all undone, so, wear a tank under it...

  • Hi Haylybug-Thanks for posting. You are exactly right, you need to anchor the ties to each hole. Tie them in a slip knot at the bottom of your tee and you won't have that problem.

As a style tip-I started cutting men's tees in 2001, when skin was shown more, it's great to use a tank underneath for today's trends...Thanks for your comment.

  • @haylybug that's because you need to anchor the ties at the bottom, almost with a slip knot to keep the top together or yes that will happen...

  • I didn't really like the end result...i thought the shirt she was wearing was much cuter!

  • camera work is dreadful. and shes

very redundant to the point of being

annoying but this is really good. thanks (:

  • This is really helpful on how to make the Tshirt fit someone smaller.. But after she was finished, I kinda didn't like the style... but it was still good anyway =)

  • Terrible camera work!!

    Interesting T shirt work..

    :-T

  • I really wish the camera man would quit starin at the blonde girl and focus in a bit more on the t-shirt when she's explaining cutting things.

  • if she didnt add the lacing it would be decent :/

    shes really creative though

  • @psshion if you don't use the lacing, you have to sew it;)

  • its a bit trashy......

  • you can always modify it and make it look the way you like it.

  • @BryanNav you are totally right and your body is the architecture, you need to hang and fiddle with things to get it just right for you! Thanks for getting that!

  • wow, i have to say this is really great.

i keep watching these kinds of vids and i keep seeing the same things over and over again but this is a really cool new way to cut up shirts

    i'll definitely try this

its also really great that you put in the stuff that takes like 20 times of failure to learn.

great tips, great design, great shirt

  • @XXSunxKissedXX You just made my night! Thank you! Did you ever make one?

  • WOAAAHH she has learned a lot

  • I also learned many other things!

  • boo for badly misplaced strings..

  • WARNING: SARCASM over here too!

I was thinking all the way up until 10:05

"HEY...I can REALLY benefit from all the sh*t this broad has learned!!!!" :-D

But now I'm thinking...it looked better way before the chastity belt across the neck happened!!!

  • that shirt is fuckin hidous

  • i hate this shirt its awfull

  • the shirt is too short and too 2001. seriously.

  • Lol its a very good video but the lady keeps saying "i learned" it started to get annoying halfway through the vid

  • My god ... anyone else get bored and tired with this ladys voice... too much talk, and shes not saying anything.. ugh... kinda helpful though... I GUESS.

  • one word...eww

  • wow; she learned a lott as a kidd.

  • It is kinda cute but skanky..

  • What I also learned was...

  • Hmmmm... nice t-shirt if you wanna look like a cheap skank!! Nothing classy about this look ladies.

  • Oh God I think that everybody knows that she ALSO LEARN a lot of things :)

  • oh i like the way it turned out

  • hay thanks for the idea! i have my x boyfriends 3 and 4 x tall tees and from watching your vid, im going to reconstruct them!!!

  • @bellaricana Thank you! Did you ever make one?

  • IIIIIIIII also learned that your camera person sucks, i dont need to be looking at the lady talk when i need to be looking at the damn shirt

  • I was surprised how good this looks! Favourited. Going to make one.

  • @salamanderdeath Wow! Thank you, did you ever make one?

  • So cool!

    xoxo

  • @simplyangie79 you do know that the annoying lady would see this right? Think about it before you fire off something negative! it's just more toxic for you than me;)

  • @ClosetControl...why are you taking it so personal? the comment section is for people who have an opinion. i watched your entire video & didnt say anything negative about what you did in it.... you dont know anything about me, i am not negative. so please.

  • @simplyangie79 If you aren't negative, what do you think the word annoying is? I allow these comments to be public, i believe in freedom of speech but I certainly don't believe in insulting people and certainly not on their own channel! kinda common sense!

  • i also learned i also learned damn lady what else do you learn!?!?

  • I know, that started to bug me after the first five times. Still a great way of t-shirt alteration though.

  • @SherbertKissesMakeup it is unedited, trust me shoot a video and you will be amazed at how many times you use the same words over and over:)

  • @yoshiyoshiyoshi99999 well I am a lot older than you so when you are my age, hopefully you will be humble enough to share what you have learned! This is also unedited so that's wny you are hearing it so many times:)

  • You have an opinion? - Fine !!! Be polite with it.

  • Am i not beeing polite? I did not know that I was talking to a specific person - I was refering to a specific TOPIC... so why would you feel attacked???

  • let me guess... are you some fashionista preppy lady?

  • YEAH totally! And I have got a small puppy called Gucci and a boyfriend that buys me diamonds everyday yeaaaaaaah!!!

    WARNING: SARCASM over here!

  • @xxcandykorexx funny, why do you say that? Do I look preppy? I was in high school but I am sure I an old enough to be your mother:)

  • @ClosetControl Noo haha i was answering to this girl whitetulip1986 XD not you haha in fact i loved your tutorial tee hee

  • in my opinion it looks slutty

  • wayyyyy too much talking. and repeating. "what i also learned was..." "so i learned...."

    good idea tho!

  • the cutting is cool really helpful for my stuff but pointin out the blondes stuff like that mixed w all the talkin is like jeez just.. shhh!! killer stomach on the lbonde by the way

  • haha, how many times can one person say taut?

and I liked this video, I have a whole shelf full of oversized tshirts that don't fit me anymore! yay for losing weight. haha.

  • why does she keep saying..: wat i also learned"??? it annoys me lol

  • I've done this to my oversized shirts before and it looks really cute if you use ribbons that match the t-shirt instead of the scraps. I have a bright orange shirt with Black and Green writing on it and i found Green and Black Zebra Print ribbon at walmart in 3/8" for like $1.00

My only problem i have is making the shirt too small, how do you know how far in to cut? is there a way to measure?

  • she definitely talks too much its annoying!!!

  • that shirt looks soooo good on her!!!

  • This is great, thanks!

  • Why does the camera keeps on turning away from the shirt? you must have a thing for the blond girl. Keep the cam steady! I'm motion sick!

  • What the heck just happened? Seriously, she A.)Talked WAY too much

B.) I couldn't see a freakin' thing she was doing.

  • That is so cool! i have a whole garage full of my uncle's large t-shirts that i didnt know what to do with till now...

  • I just did it for my oversized mens XL Bathory T-shirt and it was very easy.

    thanks!

  • but... i like my xxl t-shirt's... XD

  • Then don`t cut them, simple. :P It`s instructions on HOW to cut them if you don`t like them big. :P

  • yeah i wont ;) i was just joking.

  • The cammera guy/gal sucks... We missed a lot of the great idea just because the horribles takes!! OMG!! And YES we already know that YOU LEARNED!! hahaha. Any ways great idea!!

  • lol, so true..

  • im having trouble making theknotts on the side. i cant really see how shes doing it in the video...

    anybody help??

  • That's cool, but it only works on hot chicks... hot chicks who want that rocker/ hooker look. ;)

  • Do the world a favor and kick a beehive, perv.
