"p00lman" thinks it's a good idea for us to keep spending over 20 billion dollars of our tax money a year solely to arrest and prosecute people for possession of pot.
He also never wants us to grow HEMP for paper and ethanol to create jobs.
You can all thank people like "p00lman" for all the drug cartels.
Those drug cartels sure do love prohibition, it's great for their profits.
Just wondering? The clip of complaining about the trash. Did you all just film the trash & complain on video then walk away? Or did you fix the problem and take 10 more minn to pick it up and throw it away?
I guess it is a good idea for us to keep spending over 20 billion dollars of our tax money a year solely to arrest and prosecute people for possession of pot.
yeah, real smart jackass.
When instead we can't even grow HEMP for paper and ethanol. and create jobs like the 30s
(I don't like the ethanol idea but if that's what were going to use, better we use hemp then our food (corn) hemp grows much faster and can be harvested up to 3 times a year.)
global drug trade in 2003 was approximately 321 billion us dollars. And none of this was taxed! could you imagine if the united states government could control this and tax the shit out of it? im sure we would be out of this global recession very fast. Also by legalizing many drugs, you remove the mysterious, forbidden fruit aspect of the drugs.
I was born in Amsterdam and most people there do not smoke pot. Its old news, they do not view it as taboo and most young kids do not try to find it.
it's been chanted over and over again by all the religious nuts for over a decade before it happened.
the last time drug use was legal was in the 1930's, right before the feds came in and prevented farmers from growing HEMP as a cash crop for necessities.
do you realize that by funding the war on drugs and keeping these drugs illegal we are creating drug cartels. The drug market is the second largest market in the world. next to military arms. The second largest market is controlled by a bunch of thugs and criminals that do not pay taxes, yet still use our roads and infrastructure when ever they please. This is wrong. WE need to legalize and control this market before it goes out of hand.
The US government could make huge profits by doing this..
Come on man... is that all you can come up with? First off i said make them leagal and control them. Of course no children should be allowed to do them, just like alcohol and smoking. They are both drugs and we dont allow children to do them. Yes legalize heroin. Why cant a fully mature adult shoot up? i thought we live in a free country. They are adults they make decisions in their life. We should not have the government wagging their fingers and telling us no no no you cant do that.
I think we only need to look at Americans' general misuse and abuse of alcohol to see that giving them free reign of drugs would not lead to stellar results.
well what the hell why do they legalize alcohol but no other drugs?surely alcohol is harmful for your body. I know after a hard night of drinking i feel like shit the next day.
isnt it a bit hypocritical for them to say hey you can drink your face off but you cant go and smoke a joint, or shoot up
Either they leaglize everything, or they make every drug harmful to your body (including cafine, tobacco and alcohol) illegal. No beating around the bush. its ridiculous they have to make up their mind
i am an adult. i pay my taxes and live my life the way i want to. I do not want the government telling me what i can and cant put in my own body. Its ridiculous in the 1930s heroin was used as medicine on people for christ sake. So yes legalize heroin , and all the other hard drugs, because there is no way you can eliminate them. its impossible they have been trying for so many years and the drug trade has INCREASED. Just like prohibition in the 20s and 30s the drug war wont last.
oh and for the record i dont shoot up or anything. I think its disgusting but i just feel like people should have their own choice. Like tobacco and alcohol. Getting your selves arrested is keeping your local gov. in check?? You need to act like grown ups and embrace your local gov. system. I meen it's your town right? not theyrs. Don't you guys have a candidate that will listen to you?? and represent you? Then you need to find one and represent HIM or her. Be profesional about it.
Weve been down this road a gazillion times...they don't want to hear it - unless you come in here and say "Great vid!" or..."Wish I could move there BUT...." - then all you'll get is the usual mishmash of crazy talk.
have you never read up on the numbers of lives that are ruined and lost due to the governments war on drugs? It's not as easy to spot as say the dead bodies thrown along the roads of iraq and afghanistan. But it is monumental. People are killed over the war on drugs. Families are destroyed. Communities are devastated as a result of the gang warfare that grows as a result of the prohibition.
Ok then why don't they protest the war on drugs? Where are the signs saying what you just told me? Why doesn't the guy w/ the bull horn talk about the exellent point you just explained to me?? I just see more defiance than protest.
If that has been your experience. Then I can understand where your coming from. When I'm in Keene next month. I'll get out, and talk about what I'm describing and reach out.
I also understand the defiance. Millions of Americans have had their lives' ruined by this government policy. People have had enough. It sickens many people to read stories about corruption within police departments. The dangerous underground drug market. etc.
we are focused on local issues. Their is nothing anyone can do to roll back or change federal issues. The government is so out of control and far removed that our efforts are to take back the sate, then after that roll back our states relationship with the federal government as originally designed.
You think you're going to take back the state by smoking weed in public?? Why dont you chose someone among your ranks to run for a position in your local gov. Change comes from within so you have to get within your gov, to change it. Good luck! Really!!
im not smoking weed in public. But if some people do it so what. I go to sporting events where everyone is drinking beer in the parking lot and throwing up on their new shoes. I don't get upset about it. The idea this group is following is that they are willing to fill the jails if needed and then make the false crime foolish to pursue because of the cost over head and the public to grow board with. Smoking weed in public is not that big of a deal, people are just trained to think it is.
I never said i was upset about anyone smoking pot in public. I live in CA. everyone does it. You and the others that replied to me make good points. If one of you ran for local office all the ''protesters'' would vote for you. Like I said before; 'Change comes from within.' so get within your gov. in order to change it. Be profesional about it. leed by example.
we a good number of free staters are doing just that, its just that it does not make for good video entertainment i think ;) this is just a group of people that dont have day jobs from what I can tell but still have a means of living so they try and martyr themselves. We have a number of members that are running for office or are in office. I would never get into politics but I do turn out for protests to be counted and help when I can.
Politics is like a bunch of children playing in the mud. You aren't going to clean them up by getting in the mud with them. You have to stand on the high ground, with a hose.
The permit was for Department of Health oversight. I'll be you didn't get an agent from there to inspect your weinnies...what happens to the people who buy, eat and ingest illegal permit free food?
If she does not have to ask for permission, and get a food permit, then no one should. You will get poisoned by profit obsessed corporations faster than you can say McDonalds. Everyone must be held to the same law, stop smoking dope and you will begin to think clearly.

according to your point of view "P00lman"
Arresting alcoholics for drinking alcohol is sane.
Why would you arrest a pot smoker for smoking pot?
Because it's what you were raised to believe is right....
arrest the alcoholic and pot smoker to "HELP" them
Yeah help them by putting them in jail to pay a huge fine and get a felony so that they can't get another job after that....
Yeah real smart of you Pro-Prohibition people out there...
real fucking geniuses, I swear

Nope, you can't arrest someone for drinking alcohol because drinking alcohol is legal.

It's also your choice whether or not to commit murder, and that's also a crime.

Well then stop trying to KEEP my choice a crime.
Other then that, your argument makes NO sense what so ever.

"Because it's illegal, that's why"
I'm going to continue to smoke my pot and there is NOTHING you are going to do to stop me. "p00lman"

oh ok, So according to your little twisted mind "p00lman"
Pot smokers are murderers....
Pv8man 2 years ago
besides your the only one talking about murdering people here.
I'm just trying to promote anti-prohibition.
Which would cut into 70% of the drug cartels profits.
So if anything, YOU are the one supporting violence, because the drug cartels WANT pot to remain illegal, because its a cash crop.
by your logic, alcohol would still be legal and the streets would be run by who ever was willing to sell the alcohol to the people.
because one way or another, people were going to get intoxicated.

thus, making your logic obsolete, and a thing of the past.

Alcohol prohibition was a sudden and drastic change, and it was quickly reversed.

Would you try to join the mafia in order to make it less violent?

Politics is like a bunch of children playing in the mud. You aren't going to clean them up by getting in the mud with them. You have to stand on the high ground, with a hose.

Activists calling politicians "children"? Pot calling the kettle black.

The goal of many in Keene is not to "take back" the state, but to end it.

The permit was for Department of Health oversight. I'll be you didn't get an agent from there to inspect your weinnies...what happens to the people who buy, eat and ingest illegal permit free food?
