For example: If I start out with lets say a 25 LB kettlebell then move all the way up to 70 LB eventually. Then I stop working out for like a year. Will I be able to work out again with the 70 LB Kettlebell?
I know this is not the case with Dumbells and curls etc.
No exercise is permanent- if you want to keep the improvement then you have to use it or lose part of it. Same with eating, breathing, exercising, brushing your teeth. You eventually have to do it again. Kettlebells do not change that-
I own Pavel's KB, and I own cheaper imported Chinese ones. Pavels are worth every penny for the quality, particularly for the even smoothness of the handles.
My cheaper ones have uneven handles that absolutely interfere with my technique when it rotates in my hand during snatches and cleans & the like.
And he's a physical trainer from another country, not an American-born video presenter. I actually quite like his presentation. YMMV.

Are the strength gains permanent?

What's a riser? A riser is what Pavel gets when he sees sissies hurling kettle bells. Gay Russian Beast.

You know what else is manly? Lifting 21 feet of 10 inch pipe up a 12 foot ladder with one guy at the other end.
