@TheKiwiLord. Much like a normal car the engine needs to be run in to release the cars full potential. But the manufacturers reccomend that you don't use full throttle before approximately 1,000 miles, but because this is a game and you have to use full throttle when racing the engine wears very quicly, my veyron has around 550 miles on the clock and after an oil change I got 1256bhp out of it. When rebuilding an engine it releases more power but I don't think it will if I rebuild my veyron's.
