I have seen this with my own eyes. It seems someone has removed it from the UN site for some reason. It was basically a library card for getting information. And the governing body are all F&DS, who with a "heavenly mandate" publish the litterature, and as instructional to how to read the Bible, the litterature works as an "answer book" to the Bible. Part of the requirement for being an NGO member of the UN is that you agree to support the aims of the UN.
The fact the GB signed up to that shows their hypocrisy.
They should not have been associated with the image of the beast in any way. It took them ten years to work out that was wrong, and then only after being exposed in the Guardian.

And that's what misinformation does. Take Peak Oil (PO) for example. The media spun it as 'theory.' If everyone recognized PO then there'd be diminished longterm investment. If you want the Telegraph news account, I have that, plus the letters of Paul Gillies to the News reporter and his reply. @Ni1234ck The extent of one's studies is a personal matter. My personal goal is to learn both Greek and Hebrew, and be able to translate for myself. You can't take something, and just apply it to an entire group of people, that's called profiling, and it goes for religion, the same as it does for race. How is reading the bible and meditating on information that you glean from the reading not bible studying? From what I see, you are just name-calling, and not really proving anything to me.

"These anointed overseers (the faithful and discrete slave...) serve as though being guided in their activities by the right hand of Christ," (Watchtower, Jan. 15, 1969, p. 51). And the governing body are all F&DS, who with a "heavenly mandate" publish the litterature, and as instructional to how to read the Bible, the litterature works as an "answer book" to the Bible. That`s way more than just to "accompany the Bible".

@Mstrjeidi76 I only added the words in parentheses to clarify what the article means with "these annointed overseers". There`s no "misleading quality" about it. Anyway, I now see my clarification was unnecessary anyway: The quote is clear by itself: The annointed (which is the same as the F&DS) are "guided in their activities by Christ". AND they write and print the magasines, which are therefore basically words from god himself. Case closed.

@Ni1234ck I spoken with many J W's and none of them even the ones who no longer practice, never believed the articles replaced the bible. That sounds like the people that say J W's don't believe in Christ. Although the basis of the faith evolves around Christ as the savior. So everyone should do their own research on extremely important matters such as Faith, religion etc. before ridiculing everything that isn't shown on a music video. I bet people during Noahs time laughed and ridiculed.

I can also prove it with the Societys own litterature: "When the time comes to clarify a spiritual matter in our day, holy spirit helps responsible representatives of the faithful and discreet slave at world headquarters to discern deep truths that were not previously understood". FACT: Jehovah's organization, known to pay close attention to detail, claimed they were unaware of changes at UN regarding NGO's.
FACT: WBTS seperated themselves from UN 1 day after story broke.
FACT: WBTS violated their own teaching by having anything to do with the "Beast".

There are many organizations that use the name watchtower and yes try to use even the names that are used by the JW's organization because of laws saying they must do that so that does not mean that JW's organization are the ones shown.
