She used to teach piano. Her piano has many signatures that were carved into it, from some of the best jazz artists. She would cook for them as they came through town to do gigs. But Evans was her closest friend. :)
Mary was my grandmother. She used to knit Bill sweaters and send them to him just because she loved his music. I hope they're both playing piano in heaven. :))))
