@ProWilsonTan are the eggs being aerated? How much time has passed since you put the eggs in and what is the water temperature? What type of salt did you use?
@CanadianAquaFarm Hey, Thanks for Replying. I Watcn anthers guy video first and he siad its alright to put table salt so i did. THe temperture is 28 Degreees. WHcih is 82 farinheight. If i move eggs in different wwater will it still hatch?
@CanadianAquaFarm Yes i put hair. Thanks for your help anyway. SOme reason i added a pinch of baking soda than the next day when i woke up it hatched?
@BUSTERDOG2000 Live phyto is definitely the way to go. It won't foul the water and brine shrimp thrive on it. It's super easy to culture, I will post a video tutorial on culturing phyto in the near future.
@BbOyToPp95 Keep the air running or they will suffocate. You only stop the air for a couple of minutes when you want to collect shimp for feeding to your fish.
@MaxCheesy If you feed them they can live for months and will grow into adult brine shrimp. I will do a follow up video later on outlining the procedure for raising them.
I tried to hatch brine shrimp using a method similar to this and I found that most of the eggs sank to the bottom and the shrimp that did hatch died within 2 days. Any tips for stopping this from happening next time?
@BoldAndTheBitchyful at the moment i have a 12 liter bucket where im trying to grow them out.i've had them for like 3 days ,u might wanna try that? +u still need airpump to circualte the water....
@BoldAndTheBitchyful If your eggs are settling on the bottom you need to increase the amount of aeration in order to keep the eggs suspended. Insufficient aeration will also cause the brine shrimp to suffocate which is likely why yours died in such short order.
@bluedisk0123 In the low 60's F hatching will take a long time... 36+ hours. Warmer is better. A trick I like to use to keep the temperature warm is to float the 2L bottle in a heated aquarium.
Can you just put eggs into aquarium to hatch?or is there any type of eggs you can do this with?
VIKINGODIN 4 days ago
@VIKINGODIN If it was a salt water tank they would hatch but the shells are messy. Also your filters may trap the eggs before they hatch.

What do you feed them on I've tried egg yolk and spirulina but they seem to die after about 3 days.

did u use baking soda for this
lougeelor1 11 months ago
@lougeelor1 Baking soda is not required as the salt mix already contains all the buffers needed.
