actually.. when lifting you should still focus on lifting heavier every time because a stronger muscle is always a bigger muscle. just try not to sacrifice your form

@TheSalvaDoorian I don't know if you want MY help, ofc Tuan Traun knows more than me.. But i'd say fewer reps, with more weight. Things like explosive push-ups will help to. And ofc when you are done with doing bench press with reps, then putting on your max amount of kgs/lbs, and do it once, will help too... :)

I don't have a regular bench press at the gym in my school, just the smith machine assisted one. So am I better off doing that or a dumbbell bench press?
@Phatfarm1980 THat has to be the dumbest thing ive ever heard.... most of the time when im doing back my biceps are the first thing to get tired which stops my back workout short..........you must not be doing heavy enough on back. everyone know you do back then biceps

If you do the activation with benchpress the whole point is gone. You're supposed to isolate and pre exhaust one musclegroup before you move on to the compound movements, where your chest + front deltoids and triceps are included. Thats what Tuan's saying.
Same technique with the leg extensions before squats.
@whitstable11 you can try and it may work. Just remember that your Pectorial Major and Minor is far stronger and carries more muscle fibers than either your triceps or your shoulders. The bench is a compound, mulity joint movements and no matter how low the weights, all those areas are working and most likely your smaller support muscles will ware out before the chest its failure.

@whitstable11 Well the whole point is to do an isolation first like fly so your not using your shoulder and triceps, so high reps with benching first will use some shoulders and tricep
Tip:To get a better contraction of the pecs on the cable flyes cross your arms at the forearms at the top of the movement
