  • Which time of day was this?

  • I thought metro link and GO (Canandan trains) were the only triple decker trains! Any more triple decker trains?

  • @Megahammerheadshark Those are Bombardier cars made in Canada. Alot of transits use them besides Metrolink, Caltrain and GO such as Frontrunner in Utah, Northstar in Minnesota, RaiRunner in New Mexico, TriRail in Florida, Trinity Rail in Texas, and that is all I can think of right now, but I know there are more out there.

  • You're about to be hit

  • 10 years from now, LA will be in Mexico. Let them build it.

  • That kind of meet is exactly how fatal car crashes happen. Stupid people see 1st train go past, think gate malfunctions, drive around and blam get hit by the 2nd train. Driver was hard on the horn for probably exactly that reason.

  • The approach and passing of that red engine is awesome!

  • nice shot going both direction love this. these train hauls as.

  • I get it, the trains goes forward when going southbound and the train goes backward using the cabcar going northbound

  • The P2's Caltrain uses are squeaky.

they need to replace the P2's with K5LA train horns (like what ACE and Amtrak use)

  • Ah, the new and the old together. 5*****

  • huh! never thought it would be going that fast backward. how would driver see what's going on behind him?

  • the driver sits in the cab car, at the front of the train, and not in the locomotive ...

  • @lazytom thats why its a push pull consist

  • they always go that fast unless there a construction, or maintinace crew working on the tracks or the grade crossing arms or lights.

  • nice look at the crossing gate bob back and forth as the firs one goes by, excellent shot!

  • how fast do you think it was going?

  • Both trains were doing (or should have been doing) 79mph.

  • NO!! They have P2s!!

  • woah express trains go very fast!!!!!!!!!!

  • not as fast as the Acela, Acela is the fastest train in the U.S.

  • yeah but the baby bullet is the fastest train on the west coast

  • They are the same speed as normal Caltrain...top out at 79 mph. They just don't stop as much

  • Amtrak's Southwest Chief goes 90mph.

  • @Coastergeekperson04 the fastest trian in the U.S. is the Amtrak Acela and it does 150 MPH on strait away, going from Washington to Boston and in 10 years from now, you'll see more passenger trains wich will do 220MPH going from San Fransisco to L.A.

  • Not to mention the Metrolink trains, which also go 90.

  • Lovely train footage! Nothing quite like those baby bullets! <3 Caltrain

  • i mean WCH electronic bells

  • And 1 in rochelle

  • those western cullen hayes bells sure ring fast there

  • That, my friend was the baby bullet train, before the regular train went past.

  • Thanks for posting! More of the same please :)

  • nice vid but you seem to have had it running at a faster speed, so the trains were faster than they really were.

  • Great video, love the Caltrain Bullets, but those horns are AWFUL! Please, somebody put some K5LA's on those things!!

  • Metrolink down in L.A. has the same problem. K5 horns would sound great.

  • I have the first train on MSTS. It goes fast!

  • Excelent! Very exciting!

  • No matter what people say about those baby bullets, i think they are the greatest thing in railroad in the bay area ever since the daylights, and they sure look snazy racing by at 80mph

  • Cool Double Train!

  • Those are Great Train meets. Thanks for posting it.

  • Caltrain is great. Thanks for posting.
