  • i is for interlaced. meaning its scanned in 2 fields. basically, a film on 30fps will have 60 FIELDS per second (2fields per frame). while p is for progressive which literally uses progressive scanning. p and i has nothing to do with it's height 1080p and 1080i will both have the height of 1080 pixels

  • rightclick the video > show debug info, the resolution is 1280x720 so gtfo whoever says it's 1440i

  • Okay, are you fucking high? 720p isn't NEARLY the best quality YouTube can do, and there is NO FUCKING "WATCH IN HD" BUTTON!

  • isnt 2k ultra and 4k like ubber high def

  • i thought interlaced scans update 2x faster than progressive. even 1080i is sharper than 720p by very little

  • i watch porn at HD 2160p in my laptop :)

  • it is 720p because my laptop cant handle 1080p so how could it handle this?

  • The only thing i know is that it looks like poop on 1680X1050. Have a nice day :D

  • fuuuck what is with these stupid japanese companies ruining good graphics with the stupid purple hair and miniskirts and glowing red eyes..

  • This is definitely 1440i, coz playing it fullscreen on a 27" iMac which is a 1440i monitor, it wasn't pixelated at all, whereas if i play 1080p/i videos they are pixelated, nice trailer as well (Y)

  • 1440i my ass

  • I can't believe how great this game looks

  • you guys are silly. 720p = 1280x720 resolution in progressive scan, and computer monitors ALWAYS show their resolutions in progressive scan.

Interlaced resolutions is just a resolution where the horizontal lines are alternated so it only shows half the pixels at a time. Youtube doesn't do this. This video is 720p

  • 1440i is basically 720p, because interlaced frame is divided by 2. 1440:2=720.

  • you could not be more wrong retro...

    by your rediculous method, 1080i = 540p

that would make 1080i a "medium def". and everyone knows it is a "high" def.

  • Isn't this the guy that came in yakuza?

  • were did u get all those info from O__o ?

    smart n GEEK

  • so what is the formula? O.o it cant go beyond 720p anyways.

  • @HDGamers

    That's not ridiculous.

    What you're saying IS.

Do you even know what interlacing is?

Showing every other row of pixels each frame, alternating between even and odd,

    SIMULATING 1080 resolution.

But it isn't. It leads to very-noticeable interlacing artifacts.

Just pause at any time where there's motion (e.g. 0:14 ).

720p IS of GREATER image quality than 1080i.

  • @HDGames By everyone you mean idiots and people in insane asylums? The I in 1080 stands for interlaced while the p in 540 stands for progressive, 1080i IS 540p! And there's no such thing as "ultra" high res footage. 1440i is the high definition for interlaced, you have NO IDEA ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT... By the way this a comment saying your max resolution is 720p.

  • @HDGamers

no, thats correct. atleast that 1090i isnt 1080p

    1080p is basically 720p

  • if its 1440 p ... or 1440i nothin' changes because nobody watchs it in hd ... everyone watches in sd ...

  • Believe me, it's 720p. That is the max YouTube can handle.

  • Belive us, Youtube does not compress ultra high res footage anymore. Anymore comments saying that our max resolution is 720p, will be removed.

  • Ok, didn't know about that, that's cool.

  • @HDGamers this is not ultra HD LOL

  • @HDGamers you sir, are a fucking dumbass for saying 1440i is nt 720p, and alrite yes it may not be 720p but guess what? Youtube Converts all the interlaced videos into progressive scan, so in order to make it progressive it halves the resolution by taking the even lines and converting it into progressive image. Yes on your TV it might have been 1440i but once its on youtube its officially 720p what you would call 720p!

  • @GamingFever Then tell me, howcome some videos have a 1080p option?

  • @skate619 This was before 1080p was on YouTube. xD

  • why 1440i? I thought your eyes couldnt tell the difference after 1080.Any chance you can do a side by side comperison?

  • i have never saw videos with 1440i or p of resolution!!!thanks

  • and you didn't see nowm i don't believe that your screen can show 1440i. i tink thats 720p

  • HDGamers....thank for your videos!!!.

  • No Problem - Just keep watching 'em.

  • This whole 1440p and (i) resolution is pretty cool but there is still a problem. the FRAMES PER SECs.!! the fps' need to catch up because even though the actual picture it self is clean it still blurs and has hiccups during game play. 60 to 90+fps' just doesn't cut it anymore. if they set a new minimum stander on fps' the immersion factor will be out of this world!

  • @HDGamers 1440i = 720P.

  • You must be the only one on YouTube with these resolutions Ben!

  • maybe lol, thanks.

I think you can add to the link to improve it even further but i'm only going on a comment on another of our videos
