The Fed issues currency and distributes it to banks in the form of loans (they charge an interest over them); of course, not all banks have access to loans from the Fed, which might be regarded as unfair.

I have nothing against Bernie Sanders but he surely has no idea of what he is talking about. The "loans" referred to in this video are not meant to aid financial institutions in distress. They are just part of how the federal reserve system works. The Fed issues currency and distributes it to banks in the form of loans (they charge an interest over them); of course, not all banks have access to loans from the Fed, which might be regarded as unfair.

I have just read a dozen or so press releases and all of their numerous and effing ridiculous caveats and addendums. They all basically explain that Fed owns [insert bank name here] this is what the bank may not do, this is how the Fed may fold the bank over an oil drum, etc.
The catch is, absolutely nowhere is it stated what the collateral is, what its actual value is, and nothing about how much money was given by the Fed for that collateral. Everything that actually matters is left out.

Relax.. The only reason most of them our Jewish is because of history. In the Roman Empire, usury was outlawed by the Christian Vatican by St. Augustine. This left the practices of banking and lending to the Jewish, which in turn allowed them to get a leg up on everyone by being the only financiers of the wars in Europe thereafter. I believe Islam was also forbidden to practice usury as well..

Short term liquid loans?!?! What is he talking about? These are reserves that are going to banks, which are then being lent out as more mortgages, property loans, etc. There's nothing short term about it. He can't pull those back in quickly. The dollar will inflate, causing many of those loans to default as well. What a moron!
