is it the England/ [Europe maybe...?] system? cuz i think Ive heard that they have a different system. They have a total of 8 levels/grade instead of 10.... I dont know. xP haha but its good! xD well done!
i think this is too slow... just cause im playing this for my Gr.9 and its a gr.10 study, appearantly my playing is slow enough already. its supposed to be allegro leggiero
wow, this is Grade 6?? I took grade 6 this year and my pieces weren't this hard at all! It was soothing and like what "itsyourcall" said. & Congratulations for obtaining a Distinction!!
Yes, I am doing this for my grade 10 as well. I was very surprised to find out that this is a grade 6 ABRSM repertoire piece (its out of 150 in their exam, this is 30 points, so its 1/5 of the mark, which is quite a lot, considering we only get 6 points for our exam )
this music takes me away, over the hills, makes the grass grow, every empty spot it fills, and the river just keeps its flow, sun shine on a rainy day. :) great in other words!
I'm going for grade 6 in a few weeks, and your videos have really helped me. I'm not too far from where you are at in the video, but I'm still struggling with the right hand thirds in the second page. I noticed you slowed them right down at about the end, which worked great stylistically, so I'm going to try that for that part also, because I'm having difficulty with the last set where the left hand starts playing those F sharp and G sharp octaves. Thanks a lot, and well done on your exam score.
You always inspire me. I'm learning my grade 6 pieces at the moment and watching your vids really guides me. By the way, congratulations on your exam result, awesome score!
well i listened to this piece on imeem and the original tempo was really nice. but i personally think if it's played in a slower tempo, it will still sound nice.
I really wanted to play this for the exam but I just couldn't get up to tempo... you don't seem to go as fast as the book marks (not that that's a bad thing... I think it sounds better slower personally)... did they not comment on that, then? I almost regret choosing the Suk, although that is also a lovely piece.
well played although you are a bit loud and could do with a bit more dynamic range
i reckon the metronome marking is wrong in the ABRSM because i play this at actual prelude speed and it sounds 10x better and more like an actual prelude
hi , wow im doing this for my grade 6 aswell - i was going to do the moment musical by schubert but i changed my mind... also i wondered how old are you - like a teenager or an adult?
Good job... did you really get a distinction on your grade 10 piano?! If you did, I need your help. I'm playing this piece and I cannot get measures 40-47 which you play so beautifully. Please help!
Congratulations on the results. I'm not surprised really based on the videos though and you see that you didn't do as bad as thought. Distinction for grade 7 now perhaps?
wow! You play it so well. I still practice for this song and i think it's quite hard. I even try for the B2 too. But i think i will choose B4, Refrain Du Gondolier.
Ok I was just asking , I'll take a look at the book again when I return home this afternoon. On the topic of cadences I'm doing the grade 5(theory) exam later this year so I am now getting familiar with them.
Hi again. I just want to ask one question the last chord you play at the end of the piece, is it F#,F#(In basss clef) and C#,E,G, C# (in the treble)? The reason I asked was due to the fact that I played the piece and my last chord sounds a bit different than yours. But I like the performance.
yea i know how you feel I used to be soo nervous before going in teh exam and what's worse is when your hands sweat ( A NIGHTMARE) lol but I finally ogt it right at grade 4 with the distinction ( I went distinction pass merit distinction lol. So all I'd suggest is you do like me and enjoy the pieces and feel them. Oh and powder your hands lol
WOW! Your pedalling is really nice. I'm supposed to do grade 5 but after hearing these pieces i'll definite take a look at my grade 6 book lol. Well good luck. I see a distinction for you.
