@FloridaRaider they dont . they leave. birds freeze, horses are very hairy and heavy, to withstand it. dogs are huskies only. it is a different place, from what i understand. national geographic did a show about yakutsk one time. it was a old gulag town.
@snoopy84able If you want something similar to Russia skipping Alaska, go to Minnesota. Climate and Elevation similar to much of Russia. Coldest inland state in the US.
Thanks for uploading this incredible video! It makes wanna go visit Yakutia sometime:D! Last time in class, my teacher introduced Yakutistan/Yakutia to us, and so I learned something about it. I'll be preparing all my thick clothes before I go=D!
Russian people in Yakutia go to bath as much as they wish - even more than once a day. They do it together with "civilized" Yakuts who live in the cities and towns.
However some remnants of traditional (mostly semitraditional) people will do it not so often. The more you wash - the more flying insects are ready to eat you.
wow, en mi pais la temperatura mas baja es de -8c en algunos lugares y en mi ciudad es de 8c y no lo soporto, es impresionante ver que en ese lugar estan a -65c es "IMPRESIONANTE".
