Sounds close to my '96 SR-1206 Flame Maple/Mahogany/5-piece Wenge-Maple Neck. N/T as well and has the same "growl" on the low-B, but fair amount more "balanced" due to the 3/4" maple top (no veneer there!) that brightens up the "middy" tone of an all-mahogany bass IMO. Ibanez was my first "Good Bass" and then my 1206 was "exclusive" for 5 years of Cover Bands/Sessions/Live Gigging. It's been a while since I moved on (my tastes changing and not Ibbys) but nice to hear they still make quality!

@bemolable Emg's cant fit in Ibanez's that have Bartolini pickups....I wish EMG's made a pickup replacement for Bart's but they dont. I even emailed a rep

@csmorgan Man I think you`re wrong because I`ve seen lots of  Sr700 with EMG 35DC and fits so well!!!!!! . In Fact. look at this bass! SRT-905! them use EMG pickups

@bemolable Nice try but you are wrong. First of all the SRT and the SR are different basses. If the Ibanez has EMG's stock like the SRT905 then yes obviously it will have EMG's but the SR line uses Bartolini and EMG does not make that slim of a pickup. Say what you want but I have even talked to an EMG rep

Yup. Too much fret buzz...and he is not even hitting the strings very hard. You are not really doing yourself a service by making a demo with a bass that needs a truss-rod/string height adjustment. Shame...

@TheMoistdesert as Kaloan91 said, they adjust their basses like that. and the fretbuzz with the emg40dc pickups makes this baby perfekt for rock/hardrock/metal music. I hope some day I can see this bass in a black color, would be a perfekt bass for me^^

Hey Max, echt geiler Bass und das Review war super. ^^

Kleiner Tip: Versuche beim nächsten Mal die Specs nicht so langatmig vorzustellen. Schön kompakt, dann kommt man auch nicht so leicht ins Stocken. Außerdem hast du dann auch mehr Zeit um die Frequenzstellungen der Potis zu demonstrieren. Ansonsten war das schon echt Klasse. Ist ganz normal nervös zu sein, das machst du schon fast pefekt. (^__^)b

Es wird zumindestens immer besser. Er klingt aber noch sehr aufgeregt und schüchtern, dadurch geht vieles in seinem gemurmel unter.

Aber ich denke das legt sich mit der Zeit. ^^ Viel Spaß weiterhin!

Finde das Review eigentlich recht gelungen, ist auch n toller Bass, nur irgendwie wirkt das Vorstellen der Specs bei dir so lustlos und auswendig gelernt...nicht ganz organisch irgendwie.

Finde es aber gut, dass du auf die einzelnen Sounds die der Bass abrufen kann eingehst.
