Check out the intro for (Penn Teller Evolution vs Creationism) every time he points at the camera or points his index finger up as to make a point about something he attempts to cover that finger. Look closer and he's covering his ring finger.Covering his left ring finger nail because he paints it red (In memory of his mother) has been a trade mark of Penn since he began. If you look at most of his stuff he'll often cover that nail with his thumb as its a distraction toward his hand (something most magicians don't want you looking at)

You can't avoid violence these days. With or without TV, it has spread big enough to keep on influencing by itself.
