Looks great! I hope it allows you to use Minolta MD or Nikon manual focus lenses with a third party adapter, like the GH1. If you limit it to just Sony lenses in the electronics, that would be a mistake.

@alSation81 @alSation81 Actually, Betamax is better quality than VHS, stupid consumers supported the wrong format (due to the way the tape went around the drum. Memory Stick! who cares? You leave it in your camera, and just plug it in with a USB cable. And I'm sure this camera records on an internal hard drive or flash drive. Oh wait, the lenses are proprietary...and so is the rechargeable battery. But then that is true for Nikon and Canon also.

@MrChevypower I thought Sony killed off the Betamax by not letting other companies use it freely, whereas VHS was open slather and anyone could make a device for it. I liked Beta, we always had that one thru the '80's.

My Vaio also has one (!) USB slot, and a memory stick slot, which is useless for transferring info between computers.

That's a silly opinion, this will have the same sensor as a DSLR. Plus actual features a video camera should have. It will also process video correctly, unlike today's VdSLR's

@MrTWHall hmmm... how do you know that? I can't seem to find out much about this, though I haven't done much research. The vDSLR that we have works very well. What do you mean it will process video correctly? Ours seems to work fine. you can look at the videos we have done, the most recent was shot with our DSLR

@bilbomarks this was shot with a DSLR (Nikon D5000, to be exact). What do you think? And what do you mean by processing video differently? Are you talking about the compression? Furthermore, I don't think this camera will have a DSLR sensor. I think it will have a point-and-shoot sensor because it uses the E mount lenses, which are designed for use with point-and-shoots. Enlighten me if I'm wrong and show me your sources.

@LiberStudios It will handle aliasing better. Jagged edges is a problem with video mode on DSLRs. Also there is no such thing as a point and shoot sensor.

@LiberStudios Anything shot seriously will have to be edited. After editing you can render in 23.976 frames. Problem solved.

@bilbomarks That is true, but rendering in 23.976 cannot fully replicate the look as it usually just drops frames which makes the video look choppy and not like film. Only shooting in true 24fps can perfectly replicate the look of 24fps
