  • This is perhaps one of the most truthful videos that I have ever seen. So unbiased coming from the source is such a fresh breath of air. I, myself don't see anything but the truth & fairness in all people. This video should be mandatory for everyone to take a see & if you have any ounce of love & justice, you will shut your filthy mouth & open your ears & eyes.

So shut the hell up & listen for once in your life. It might do you good. Since you profess so adamantly of your lover of God.

  • i don't blame all Orthodox Jews, i know a few of them i think they are peaceful people. However the secular Jews are to blame, the mainstream secular Jews who think Palestine is an evil country full of suicide bombers.

I don't blame Americans too, i think they are just mislead by the US media, they are not told of what really is going on such as: US military expenditure is over $700billion a year, they give Israel $3billion a year (on military), Egypt $+1billionaire a year (on military)

  • We need to begin with proper education. Every one of us can do that if we will. Look at ancient Greeks, they had almost ideal state politics, education and agriculture. Modern people are like cavemen comparing to them.(2)

  • Most radical war is being waged in the minds of people. Physical war is only the final result of the battle which had been led in the realm of minds. So if people are to be strong and able to withstand violence and destruction, they need to learn to win the war in mind realm first. It is being waged by means of words, images, and other propaganda. (1)

  • I can't believe that I got hooked to this video, I took my laptop to washroom with me

  • 60 jews

  • @hamoolio127 Your using a religious ethnicity to exclaim who is hating this. The obvious point of this video is to get rid of pompous morons who do this. I think you missed the entire point of this video.

(Not all) Jewish people are pompous morons, before you say they are.

  • @hamoolio127 You are a douche bag.

  • منصف

  • But yeah, your economy is shitting all over itself, yet for some reason the U.S government is policing the world, planning to invade more middle eastern countries for close to fuckall reasons except filthy greed.I just hope the average american will realize that they aren't the "good guys" in this mess, spending your tax money on illegal wars and funding murderous zionists.Doesnt take much brain to understand that it will be the end of you, it will come back to you tenfold. You reap what you sow.

  • @wretchedyo Agree agree agree. Love that the world's waking up to this

  • All empires must come to an end,the ones who last the longest are the ones gifted in the ability of assimilating and gaining acceptance and respect through diplomatic negotiations. The U.S have a more unique system however.Basically just fuck up countries and steal their ressources, end the show by putting a pro american dickhead as president of said country and as such expect no consequences of these illegal wars. In conclusion, the U.S system is very effective but the effect is only temporary...

  • Bleeding hearts like this have been there for the past 60 years. How many videos like these about the Vietnam war, the Korean war, the gulf war. They just make Americans feel like they are being ethical. We're killing them...but that's okay since I cried when I saw the videos. Lol. Hope you guys stop before you force the whole world to react...and once that starts...there is no going back

  • Many other examples. What Americans should realize is that we (the majority of the world...Asians and Africans...around 5 billion people) now recognize America/NATO/UN as states and institutions that must be overthrown militarily. What I recommend is that these mass murders and manipulation stop before Asian economies overshadow western ones by 2030-2040. We are peaceful people...but enough is enough.

  • Some other things that the talk didn't mention. Saddam was trained by the US. The democratically elected government in Iran was overthrown by the US. Gaddafi was trained by the US. The US continually plays different sects against each other in the Middle East by paying off politicians to their favor (why try to please the people when you get more money from a foreign power for selling the poeple out? We all know that politicians are the face of money...not popular consent)

  • @crudhousefull thats the work of the C.I.A. It's a common method, it was also used in most south american countries during the cold war. Secure treacherous tyrants as your "man", feed him money, once in power tell him to make it look like he is unfriendly towards the americans that he works for. In the end, America basically controls that country.

  • @wretchedyo The US deserves what's coming to them. Feel sorry for them...but what'ever's coming to them doesn't even come close to what they deserve.

  • @crudhousefull It's rather interesting how they are trying to appear like they are supporting the uprisings in the arabic countries, when the truth is that it's their own recruits who are being overthrown. Obviously, because of this some medias have been criticizing the uprisings calling them islamic and therefore evil (directly or indirectly), which prooves the monopoly washington has on the U.S media.

  • @wretchedyo I'm still a little disturbed that so few people are speaking out against all this media trying to act as if the west are the good guys. So much space for commenting on the truth now with the internet. Have you seen western media interviews with the Iranian President? So eye opening. Unbelievable how stupid and ill-informed the average western citizen is.

  • @crudhousefull Yeah I have, and I have also seen how the allegations of him and his "controversial and aggressive statements regarding israel and the west" have been prooven to be misinterpreted or overexaggerated. I don't like him one bit myself but that doesn't mean I can't tell when things are being manipulated to possibly validate and justify an invasion in the future. Lastly, the ignorance stems from politically inept people deciding to meddle with political affairs they have no clue about.

  • @wretchedyo I'm not too sure it's just actions by politically inept people. The whole setup of a two party system where the candidate with the most money wins would mean disaster. It's always the one with the most money, power and ambition, attributes that just inviting trouble, that win. I would want leaders with more knowlege on philosophy than law or economics. Happiness and humanity above memorization of 'rules' and ways to make everyone richer

  • @crudhousefull I agree.

  • It's so silly, we gave the iraqi's an iraqi leader not some american. If china invaded us, they would've called it the American SSR! similar to how the soviet's conquered half of europe. We gave the iraqi's the leadership and united the kurds, shi'ites and sunnis into one government. It was difficult at first and will continue to be a problem for these guys to get along but i'm optimistic the iraqi's will have a bright future. It will also change US foreign policy to NEVER support dictators.

  • fuck american government

  • So poverty in Iraq is not b/c of Saddam Hussein and the Taliban blowing up girl schools?

  • @bananian Dude there are no Taliban in Iraq.

  • @lopapapapa

    sorry I meant Al Qaeda.

  • @bananian Saddam was backed by the US

  • @bananian oh god... there is no taliban in iraq wtf

  • this is a very touching speech

  • i love my professor :D

  • Amazing just amazing

  • The false premise of this presentation is that the US went into Iraq for oil. If that were true, how come to date the US hasn't taken over the oil fields or benefited from the Iraqi oil in any way?

  • you are so naive. the whole world knows it is because of oil.

  • @jamik0716

Do you have any proof for that? Again, the US did not benefit one iota from the oil, so how can anyone claim it entered Iraq for the oil?

  • @mamboz1

I guess you do not know about service rigs. I bet you are white.

  • Comment removed

  • @mamboz1 Invaded for oil just not to consume oil. All oil in the world is traded in US dollar, this puts an artificial demand on the Dollar as all nations need to trade local currency for it to buy oil. in 2000 Saddam Hussain went before the UN requesting to trade his Oil only in Euro his request was granted, many middle eastern nations were talking about following suit, had that been allowed the value of the US dollar would have diminished as Europe could directly trade for it sans USD

  • Ron Paul sucks dick. As do I.

  • This is exactly why the US government isn't worried about the people of North Korea, who are starving. Because North Korea has no oil, and their government (possibly) has a nuclear bomb. RON PAUL 2012.

  • Military personnel are not Christians.

  • Sounds like everything Ron Paul talks about...

  • @x13nick13x Yep. It's the perspective of a sociologist. To put your feet into someone else's shoes. It's the truest perspective and experience of empathy.

  • @x13nick13x you are brainwashed... not everything is about Ron Paul...he is a racist, bigot, sexist and a liar...talk about a sheeple!...you fit the bill...i can prove everything i just said too...

  • @markusgarvey hahahaha...I'm the brainwashed one... thats funny.

  • @x13nick13x oh and yeah!...he has a body, and a voice, and he wears clothes...just like Ron Paul!

  • Love this TED talk - very interesting - I've used it to illustrate a recent blog post on the acquiring of empathy on Nextstarfish

  • Currently in afghanistan and I see local nationals with jobs here on base. We are paying them, not terrorizing them...

  • Yes USA has become a corporate capitialistic killing machine... but this guy is a complete douchebag and is incapable of a giving descent speech. Don't waste your time here...

  • @PullTheTricker go away.

  • @thesparitan

I was voicing my opinion, I have the right to make comments. Why don't you go away and stop being a useless baffoon.

  • @PullTheTricker That would be "buffoon," I do believe. And while we're at it, "decent" is the correct spelling of descent, unless you're making some reference to time and ancestry or something of the sort.

  • @RaceRelationsProject

My point still stands I don't like the speech and the man is an idiot. Also I speak Arabic, Turkish, Dutch, German and English. Next time you're going to pull a grammar nazi, realize that not everyone is American. Can't blame you people, you keep thinking you are more privileged then the rest of the world. Fuck you.

  • @PullTheTricker "My point still stands"

Actually, you haven't made one yet. You have simply stated your opinion, and simply left it at that. And when your opinion is simply "I don't like his speech" and "he is a douchebag", with nothing to qualify, one might simply rebutt these statements with, "nuh-uh".

  • I guess US government will sentence him for putting US security in danger!

  • Join occupy movement people!

  • eh dumb but good i dont agree with some of it but its all oppinion.

  • @ammotroop0880 Whether you agree with it or absolutely hate everything about this guy, how is it dumb? You're obviously who's dumb.

  • Never in youtube have i seen so many non-Muslims actually not going off on Islam. This guy moved me! I don't know how ended up on the video, as I was studying for my final :D! But I guess it was meant to be!

I have lived in US for 3 years now, and besides my higher education, the BEST lesson I have learned so far....is that on average humans are not EVIL! of course there are dumbasses everywhere, but in all everyone wants peace :)

May God bless us all.... Assalaamualikum!

  • Just Amazing

  • Best 19 minutes I spent today.

  • It saddens me to see any dislikes for the video.. whether or not you agree with his opinion, it's still an extremely thought-inspiring speech if you ignore the politics and actually make the effort to empathize

  • Interesting concept. The only problem is that he goes off of the assumption that the people in Iraq are just like us and enjoyed the same kind of lifestyle beforehand. Nevermind the fact that they lived in fear of Saddam.

  • prrtyuniqUe .. This video is not for people like you :) Your level of thinking is about average 7 years old. Sooo islam is all about murder and death .. And americans saving the world ? Right ? They made prity good job in serbia and kosovo. You had to stop the vid, "after the all oil crap" ?

find some sand, put your head deep in it,leave it there..

  • Death is what they strive for in islam. to die as a martyr is every mother and father's dream for their children. They do not value life, and they do not value it because of the political ideology the religion of death, islam. every muslim would be dead if the fear of death wasnt so strong for them or because mohammad said not everyone should fight the holy war. (jihad) but some to stay back and teach islam otherwise there wouldnt be no islam.

  • @prttyuniqUe what the hell are u talking about??? u are arrogant!! learn about islam then talk !!! u just hear what people say , and repeat it here!! religion of death??? where did u get it from??? advise: read about islam , not from a jew or from a christian, learn the real islam that muhammad teached!! thats why i converted to islam !!!

  • @prttyuniqUe and thats why many christians are converting to islam

  • Ok I had to stop this vid after all the ''its the oil crap''

This guy is no different than any liberal. he is clueless about islam.

clueless, clueless it makes me very sad that he is respected or thought of

to be very intelligent when he does not even know the slightest thing about islam. I know the u.s is not innocent but they are the ones who have a little idea and some knowledge about islam. islam is not a religion it's an ideology. the core of the quran is based on hatred, murder and death

  • @prttyuniqUe hahahaha, so you say "the core of the quran is based on hatred, murder and death". only one question and answer it if you are reasonable. how many times have you read quran, the book? did you read a single sura? do you know what part of quran says the crap you said? or do you even know the reason for quran and muslim to beleive in such a thing if it's true?

  • @prttyuniqUe let me guess your answers for the previous questions i asked. you watch the news specially fox news, few prejudice youtube hateful videos about islam, saw or dealed with a fucked up person who is a muslim, someone in your family hate islam so monkey see monkey do, or hanging out with a jew friend that is a bag of hate to islam anyways. and the only answer u cant deny is that you never have read or learned about islam from muslims.

  • thank you sam richards... sigh:( i am a mother with a lot of empathy and i am sooooo tired of crying over children on planet earth being killed for money/greed.

  • @Sisantx

The thought of how cruel thisworld can be to those that are different is enough to depress me sometimes. So I cannot really begin to understand what it would be like to be different, aside from my atheism, and occasional drug use :P

But those things I can be closeted about and not be that big of ad eal, bt how can someone remain in the closet when it deals with LOVE?

  • The illusion of "i"

    We are one.

  • I cried when I pictured the freedom fighter hugging his kid telling him not to worry because he will be back, then leaving the house never to return.

  • that call illyng how chare its america , ju eat shit and die

  • the american = oli

  • America is killing peoples............Help :(

  • TED X, X FOR EXTREME

  • we've lost 75 years of progress in US. Arguably, we're risking losing 235 years - a wasted search for morality and ethics in constitutional living. I hope MORE people become a little confused and question "what's next". Or else I am concerned that there will be NO FUTURE.

  • I appreciate the irony of trying to preach that we're supposed to empathize with people who haven't known themselves what empathy is for over a thousand years.

When they let women have an education, drive, be alone in public, have jobs... when they let people pursue their dreams and desires without risking being branded as blasphemers and being stoned to death...

The Shah was the West's tool - Ayatollah Khomeini, a brutal dictator was the Iranian people's. Empathy my ass.

  • @Frostiken iraq is not taliban you idiot! women go to school in Iraq!

and Ayatolla Khomeini is from Iran! fucking ignorant!

  • @Frostiken Hey hi

ur too arrogant & boastful for a wo/man comin from culture, who let their women walk 90% nude in public...let their daughters go nude on TV..with no shame..

should we send troops to "civilize" u...?

    empathy?my foot

    irony?yeah

& if you could look at your past history, when your forefathers went 2 "civilize" the "barbarians" of Africa, the 3 Americas & Australia..they ended up taking most of the African people as slaves, wiped out the entire population of the Americas..

  • @Frostiken and also if you guys can't take up the responsibility of "civilizing" ...and you would end up messing up everything you do every time...and you cant even civilize your own wives and daughters...you should not take up the responsibilities...and leave to more grown up men...

sorry if i was harsh... now please try seeing this video...and learn about Islam/muslims

    youtube . com / playlist ? list = PL5AD79C1ABEA22789

  • @Frostiken Hey pinhead, Iraq was a secular government. The U.S. also helped to remove a democratically elected moderate in Iran in 1953. The U.S. loves dictatorships as long as they are the puppet master.

  • Doesn't the US get most of their oil from Canada?

  • @St8Solja

That is irrelevant, this video is not talking about facts..

It is talking about how the inhabitants of Iraq and afghanistan percieve us..

Something doesn't have to be true, in order to creat radicals..

  • @Thera2400

Yeah, you'd be a ordinary person, right? A civilian... and hopefully not one of the collateral casualties.

  • What's scary is that you do get to see people in media who this would actually BE mindblowing for.

  • His subtle "right?" annoyed my ego. Nice talk.

  • Even if america wasn't there for oil, which a part of me gives the government the benefit of doubt..

It is about PERCEPTION, I cansee how Iraq could PERCIEVE it that way..

Esepecially when politicians said that IRAQI oil should've payed for it..

  • Iraq has the no. one oil reserve on earth, America is there for the oil and nothing else, killed over a million Iraqi innocent people since 2003.

and some Americans are still convinced to this day that american government is buying Iraqi oil.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • One day USA will get over powered by other countries and they'll make sure to revenge !

  • This is such simplistic bullshit. US buys oil from Canada. The second largest supplier of oil to the US is Venezuela, a political adversary. Iraq was not a factor in oil supplies since 1991 - post sanctions following Gulf War 1. Saddam's regime was not this benign struggling society struggling to get by. Bullshit! Saddam was a Sunni Arab bigot who created a minority middle class on the back of Shia and Kurds. He then fucked that middle class by starting wars with Iran and Kuwait.

  • @pvohra Why would the US government tell you that the Iraqi war was for oil. USA hated Saddam because he was not in their side. USA wants everyone to be its ally , why do you think they hate Iran? why is it fair for USA and Israel to have nuclear weapons and its not for Iran. Of course there are other plans other than having another resource of oil from invading Iraq like having military bases in there. Imagine a country is bullying you country like the US does to other countries in the MidEast

  • @pvohra NOT about oil? Saddams oil was traded in the Euro, and now after the invasion it is once again traded in the dollar, and as a result Europe is collapsing economically. 911 was a crime deliberately committed by the USA. Afghanistan's opium poppy/heroin trade is at an all time high and the drug trade is managed by US forces. See the UN website for hectares of opium grown in 2000 2001 and today. The Taliban eradicated the drug trade & the US restored it. Yes Iraq is about OIL.

  • @tropophyte Alright lets not take this situation of of proportion now Ahmajinedad. The terrorist attack was a real threat, this one just so happened to be devastating and successful unlike its related attacks before it by the same radical Islamic group. The puzzle piece that you are missing is that Bush DID use the attack to fuel the war (haha get it fuel, that's a pun) by using fear. The government didn't attack our own soil. They just seized the opportunity to feed off the fear of Americans.

  • @BTRFitness Search youtube for the collapse of world trade center 7. You can see clearly that it was a controlled demolition. Firefighters are recorded on film before the collapse of 7 happened saying that they were preparing to bring the building down and to get back. All 3 collapses were planned in advance. This is Fact. Since the government has not revealed this easily discovered fact, it proves their involvement. The USA manhandled its people on 911, you should reevaluate your enemy.

  • @pvohra

    its all about perception

  • Harry Potter = Empathy, but he also lacks it when it comes to snape.

  • God Please Return so we all can know you the same way.

  • I'm Muslim and I appreciate this a lot.

  • @Lrobinso100 cool.

  • @Lrobinso100 We all have a role to play. My peace always be with you in your heart.

  • Empathy is dead in the United States.

I know people that say seriously we should nuke the middle east- everyone. I know people that have said they think immigrants should be taken somewhere and shot. The people believe that the United States is great, and anything that gets in the way of that greatness should not exist. If you ask them whether they care if they're suffering, they say it doesn't matter if they suffer; they're not American, they're not Christians.

It makes me sick and sad.

  • @bluesnow222 PTSD is being spread around the world.

  • If it makes you sad and sick- empathy is still there. Empathy is suppressed not dead. Violent conflicts arise and people without empathy wipe each other of the Earth in mass and empathy increases.

  • @bluesnow222 What's really stupid, is nuking the middle east would do a couple things.

    1. Not all muslims live in the middle east, so we would have to round them all up and put them in concentration camps, or we would risk additonal attacks. Also, a lot f people CONVERT to Islam, and may simply feel empathy towards them. You and I may be suspects..

    2. Oil will always be a concern, how can we nuke them without destroying thatprecious oil?

    3.Radation and other allies israel,india

  • US citizens should learn the feeling. YESTERDAY. NATO henchmen also. Picture your leaders in the HAGUE - for Depleted Uranium ( DU ) and death in Iraq? this genocide: 10% of Iraqi children are born with HEART DEFECTS. This will increase as DU sifts through the air and into dirt, then water. Empathy is not the problem. Racism and Fascism are problems. Nationalistic Imperialism is OVER.

  • He should be the President of United States

  • This experiment could be applied to so many conflicts in our world.

  • @MyobuUzumaki I agree.

  • Step 2 was taking the oil

    Step 1 was the pretext - ae911truthDOTorg

  • Our convictions have an emotional charge and thus also a profound and complication relation with the self image. To redirect the process of intolerance it is necessary to question our belief and convictions and to show our willingness to have more empathy with others. In this way our actions can really contribute to more peacefulness in society.

  • He is right.....

America is killing humans for OIL...we have to think about it.

    Open ur minds.

    America = Evil

  • @MyobuUzumaki While I mostly agree with you, I think that existing empathy in people needs to be cultivated and nurtured just like any other education and either right now in the western world or just right now in this particular era, that is something we are very dismissive about. I think Sam Richards does a very good job at explaining exactly why it is so crucial that it be given priority especially with what's going on in the world and our responsibility in it.

  • Comment removed

  • This guy speaks well but the way of his speaking also irritates me and makes me want to punch him. Don't get me wrong I agree with him, but he's still very irritating

  • @MirZZi lol

  • @MyobuUzumaki not surprising at all. Empathy for the outsider is entirely foreign to the vast majority of belief systems. Deuteronomy's command to care for and be honest with the "alien, the widow, and the orphan" is nigh unto unique, and it was not much obeyed. Only recently has empathy for the other become a mainstream value even in the Christian west. It used to be something that only the very holy even attempted.

  • That was amazing, we all need to keep in mind that there is no "good", and that there is no "evil", we are all equally demented and need to understand each other.

  • @TheBigNegus actually, there are both good and evil. Understanding evil is useful, as is examining yourself and your people with enough objectivity to recognize when behavior crosses the line.

  • @arkanabar "actually, there are both good and evil". Please explain this

  • @TheBigNegus when you say, "there is no good and there is no evil," you claim that no value can be assigned to any action. Ted Bundy is the same as Mother Teresa or St. Padre Pio. Torture is the same as kindness. Theft is no different from giving or trade. If you disagree with these statements, you believe in good and evil.

  • @arkanabar Theft is the same as giving, you could think of it as giving to yourself. People who save lives cause future pain through overpopulation. I think you need to read "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins. Altruism (the basis of morals) evolved over time, humans did not "start out" with morals. Furthermore, if there is no creator (if you believe that there is then I'm finished arguing with you, lol) then who defined these inherent rights and wrongs. We created good and evil ourselves.

  • @TheBigNegus: your argument has changed; you said morals were nonexistant, now you claim they're real, but they were created or evolved. I frankly don't care where morals come from -- empirical evidence shows that base rules like "don't hurt or kill other people, don't steal from them, and don't cheat them" are necessary for human society to function. Would you not care if somebody robbed, cheated, or hurt you? Or would that be wrong? Either admit morals matter, or prove they don't.

  • @arkanabar Sure, morals exist, but they came from somewhere. They're not inherent. "I frankly don't care... base rules are necessary for human society to function". I agree with this. When I said there is no good and evil, though, I wasn't saying that morals are unimportant (while they DID evolve). I was simply saying that people aren't inherently good or evil (this is a childish, "Disney-esque" thought) , for example: terrorists. There are reasons they hate us, solidified over decades.

  • @TheBigNegus How can you call them terrorists, when their the ones that are being terrorized in their own land?

  • @alnakhli999 Exactly my point, thank you

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDonster666 At what point did I say anything to prompt your tirade?

  • this guy is an amazing speaker. 20 minutes with no script and in perfect sync with the background? Wow, he's good.

  • @nopieghost He is a great speaker, but I think he was changing the background himself with his clicker thing =P

  • There's bias in what he says. The Middle East is nowhere near as modern as America when it comes to civil rights and technology. Both respective parties have garbage political systems and both are brainwashed idiot savants trying to be the best at whatever it is they're trying to be the best at.

    From a Canadian P.O.V.

  • @Stonewallboy

"The middle east is nowhere near as modernas America when it comes to civil rights and technology" That goes without saying...

However, does that mean we have the responsibility to civilize the uncivilized, even if they do notwant our values?

  • @MyobuUzumaki I agree, after so many years, so many people just do not really seem to care about others.

  • @MyobuUzumaki I agree, after so many years, so many people just do not really seem to care about others.

  • This happen all over North America greedy!

  • Lol the reason we went to Iraq and stayed there was because of oil and money and greed and had nothing to do with halting Suddam's brutal genocide of the kurdish people...oh wait he forgot about that...also anyone with common sense knows that our presence in Iraq is actually raising oil prices...sorry bro

  • @wildcats086 You are literally doing exactly what Sam Richads is railing against in the video. The point is that the people living in Iraq don't see all the different reasons that "we" as Americans see. I can't believe somebody could be so stupid to watch this video then forget the entire point 5 seconds later.

  • is absolutly revealer...

but with some other thing add...

this is not only about USA, is about all the world and the capitalism...

the history of capitalism is a history of looting...

    thats the uggly truth...

  • As a social scientist, I could see where he is coming from. Agreed, the examples are rather extreme, but that was the point! Addressing a gathering in the USA about empathy, what better topic to choose than the Iraq war. But the emotions around it are so strong that I can see why the message did not reach.

The message is this, "I might not agree with what they are doing, but I UNDERSTAND..."

Isn't that what empathy is about?

  • I knew when I scrolled down to the comments I would see arguments, did you not catch the point of his talk?

  • Great lecture. Empathy is a powerful thing. Awesome speaker, but guys you can also check Christopher Rugh too @ speakerchrisrugh, com, he has business related topics and stuff making money easy..

  • @chrisrugh17 Shameless self promotion you piece of shit. Downvoting.

  • And if you don't believe me, please crack open a history book. It was used in the past. People can't get high off of hemp. It is impossible due to the fact that industrial hemp has too little THC content. We are fighting a war that we didn't need to. How much farm land is going to waste? Why is this plant ilegal? Ask yourself, why? Henry Ford used it to run the first car. He even made the car itself partly from hardened hemp resin. Seems a bit suspect, eh? Please, read up on it.

  • You know what is funny? We can have oil right here. We can grow it. But the plant itself is illegal. One word that has become little known. Hemp, or otherwise known as its slang name marijuana. Funny thing, that is. Hemp grows best without a high THC content, which is what gets you high. We have this plant, and we can't use it. People, look it up. Call me a pot head, but you are the people bitching about gas prices. We can grow our oil and leave the Middle East alone. Its called logic, people.

  • This is the reality

  • that was a great video, i especially like how he said "ether" XD

  • @MyobuUzumaki wow haha, I was going to post something similar to that but you took the words right out of my mouth. It's great and all that we understand, but it does nothing if both sides aren't doing it. We'll just be rolling over while they're still mad at us. I think they need these seminars too if we're going to get any understanding and some diplomatic results if this were to really work.

  • Great!

  • lol, awesome speaker! but guys you can check chris rugh too @ speakerchrisrugh, com he has business related topics and stuff

  • I don't know what you wouldn't like about this guy, he isn't driving politics down your throats. He is just trying to make people understand from another prospective. If anyone at this point thinks this war is about anything but oil please pull the blankets from over your face and see the world as it is. We were all force fed reasons for war and now hopefully we can learn from it.

  • One of the best and most important TEDtalks ever!

  • I'm sorry but one does not need empathy to understand that the Iraq war, among others, is/was an unjust war. And any who participate directly, or indirectly, by advocating or fighting that war is an unjust person.

Therefore, every single Iraqi death, Christian or Muslim, is an unjust death. They did not choose this war, the United States has.
