Savage did shine in the era of Hulk Hogan ... he was champ twice and one of the "main characters" in the WWF saga...
And this was when wrestling was good .. even though this is a Disqualification finish, it gave the feel that that Intercontinental Championship really meant something.
as always tito sells heroically. this would have been a very hot match before randy was savage and both wrestlers were rookies. i'll be the ref enjoyed being all over tito. at one point, tito throws him aside.
Definitely the architect of speed technical wrestling, Randy Savage was an enigma, and until Stone Cold's "SANDMAN PERSONA" came about it wasn't matched since. It's sad Hogan and Vince never allowed him to shine and become something amazing. I think Savage would have been the greatest WWF and I MEAN F champion ever!
Well I think its pretty clear here that the Macho King is the more deserving champion, after all he did beat chico cleanly for the title. Maybe chico should go back to Tijuana and setup his tacho stand, looks like his emotions got the better of him.
Gotta give credit to referee Danny Davis for an excellent job of calling the match...
