Many friends I know had study in USA and they say Singapore is much safer, but people can get bored within 2 years.. so if you plan to send your son here for long time it's not recommended, but still okay for me because it's clean and everything you want to buy is available.

Pros: I had to admit living in Singapore is great. The people here is nice, able to mix with different kind of race and religion and is really a safe place to be without any worries. The one good thing is that Singapore is a very systematic country.

Not really. I lived in Singapore for 18 months. It is, by far, the most boring and soulless city I have ever spent my time in. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad city as such, It is clean, safe and well run, If you take the whole of Asia as say a destination, staying in Singapore would be like hanging around in the your all inclusive hotel all day. Everything is clean, efficient, neutral, comfortable and within reach . If that's your kind of thing, then Singapore is indeed your place to be
