hookernp: If you can get foreign fruit (fruit not native to your town) either from an animal or another player, bury it and make lots of foreign fruit trees. Then sell the fruit for 500 bells apiece. It adds up if you have dozens of foreign fruit trees. Also go fishing a lot. That's what I did at first.
