well i read the 2 books the books has alot more deatails i would recommend it

@TheSteelydanfan The books were written by Phung Thi Le Ly Hayslip, who was the character portrayed by Hiep Thi Le (she also has a cameo part in the movie). I, too, read both books. Both books are very good and I loved the movie, but the movie was somewhat different than the books. One book is called 'Child of War, Woman of Peace', but I forget the name of the other.

this fim is really good. But I do not know why they used Chinese music for the base music (I knew this, because I am Vietnamese) and why mother and her daughter talk together by English... it is not true. This is the Vietnamese farm...
