Ok people this guy and many people like him like me try to help and Jesus the son of God will one day judge just the few things you say like this is fairy tale and hell isn't real well when you die and see Jesus he will ask you about that and what will you answer him then
"If there exists a God who could be offended or blasphemed, there would not be upon earth any greater blasphemers than those who dare to say that this God is perverse enough to take pleasure in dooming His feeble creatures to useless torments for all eternity." - Jean Meslier
Your point seems to be only that made in Jude 4, but you take longer to say it, and throw a lot of false doctrine in there. Your effort to preach is admirable, but lose the hellfire doctrine, and remember Galatians 6:1.
isn't this just a complicated way to say "treat others nicely and do your best in life"? isn't it true though, how many "believers" use their supposed belief in god/jesus as a veil for their complete lack of motivation and contribution to this world. I am not a believer but I believe in the teachings of all philosophies that contribute to the betterment of existence. The real question is: what is existence? and, how can we seek to improve something we don't even truly understand?
@Donimusic Actually this message is about Glorifying God with your whole life. Loving others is just a part of living that out.
Everything was made by God for his Glory including us. That is why real happiness is found nowhere else but In Jesus Christ because when we serve Him with our lives, it fulfills our purpose in life.
Everybody has a God shaped whole in their heart, but people try to fill it with everything else but God.
Hell is not a place where you suffer for eternity, God is love and He will not let his children suffer for eternity even if they rebuke His name. Hell is eternal death, you burn for a certain time and your gone.
To whom much is given, much is accepted. God bless you brother. You've received this message. You only have one life to live. Repent now before it's too late.
can I just ask one question, plz? have some of you figured out how to live a sinless life?seriously??? BE HONEST.... you've actually managed to stop sinning? Don't you realize that it is the spirit of God ALIVE in you that restores you from the inside out? it's a PROCESS initiated and eventually completed by God. How on earth could any human being manage to stop sinning of their own volition??? YOU CAN"T!!! leave it to the only ONE who is able.
@amytubed Jesus showed us how to be sinless. What excuse do we have to not conquer as he did, as he says to do, "take your own cross" "If you love your life, you will lose it, but if you lose your life for me, you will save it" "pray that you are found worthy of the son of man" "the way of life is hard, many will TRY, but FEW will be able" "MANY are called, but FEW are chosen"
Someone here said that "repentance is to regret a past action". If you regret your past action, and continue to do it again, that is not repentance. What you are doing is grieving the Holy Spirit. Th reason you feel that guilt is because the Holy Spirit is convicting you. To repent means "to turn around". If you continue in your sin, you will be just like all the rest of the people that see this video and continue to live the same way as before! People get ready. Jesus is coming!
@fathershand Exactly! This is what this video is all about, real repentance. Not the watered down version of today which produces no fruit and ends up leading you to hell.
Real repentance is actually turning away from sin.
Should we continue in Sin so that Grace can abound? - Paul.
Burn your conscience when you continue to sin. The first thing taught by Christ...and by John the Baptize is REPENT! That means turn away and never return. Sin in a Christian life is not supposed to exist - Not meaning that you will be perfect. You will stumble now and then. What I mean is, your conscious effort to sin should not exist. If it does... check yourself.
No one wakes up in the morning and thinks "What ways can I sin today?"
All sin is caused by temptations, and you sin by giving into these temptations. This does not require a conscious effort, but a weak will. People should check themselves even if they think they are in the right, not just because they have problem with sin.
@JudgeEden I never said someone wakes up with a conscious effort to sin. But a person can make that conscious effort if when in temptation the Word of God or their conscience tells them "you should not be doing this/ flee from temptation" comes up and they still go through with it, then they're in trouble. Conviction is great, but it is useless if you ignore it the second time around.
Ignoring that can lead to what paul says as a "searing of the conscience" brought by hypocrisy or false practice
You both made some great comments and it's heartwarming to know that there other people out their that share a desire to serve the Lord and not be taken in by the watered down gospel of today's day and age.
This still doesn't mean someone should listen to them and only them for guidance. Above all, people need to read the bible themselves and listen to what it teaches and what the Lord says to them.
And I wouldn't go as far to say to not listen to any Pastors. There are some who do not speak the truth, but that is where discernment from the Holy Spirit comes in. More people need to use it. But there are some who truly take their guidance from the Lord. They get the messages they preach about from Him, and they are earnestly trying to give people guidance as to what it says in the bible.
Yes you're right about Jesus being the cornerstone, not the church. The church isn't the building or place, it's the body of believers. And yes, sadly, the church has a lot of people who are hypocrites and who don't really follow what it says in the bible. In the first churches, it was some people who met and ate together at someone's house and shared about revelations they had had the past week and any words from God or encouragements.
? Seriously! Next you say, well none of us is perfect. And that is true. But there is a difference between somebody who makes a mistake and somebody who refuses to change their ways. Jesus gave us a salvation, and it is free for anyone to come to at anytime. He will forgive you of your sins, He is great and merciful. But why then would you go on continuin to live in sin, as if to put him back up there on that cross? How can you say you love someone and put them through that?
That's not what the scriptures meant about putting Jesus back up on the cross. If that's what He meant, you're damned, as well as everyone watching this video. You guys love to label your occasional sins as "mistakes", talk about making excuses.
The fact is, you're just as much a sinner as anyone else, and you refuse to see that. Salvation is not of works, and you would agree. But your beliefs speak louder than your words.
@JudgeEden And yes, I, like any other human being born into a sinful world, am a sinner. I will freely admit that. And I know that the Lord forgives me when I come to Him and repent. I, like anybody else who is a child of God, do not have to live in condemnation from the devil because I know that I am completely forgiven.
@JudgeEden Nate admits he is a sinner too in the video. This video isn't a call the judge or condemn people who have sinned. It's more so of a wake up call for those who have been lukewarm. Saying they love God, but then don't live their life like it. And people like that God says that he is going to spit out. .
@JudgeEden But here's the thing- people can repent of their ways and God will completely forgive them through the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a call for us as Christians, to be an example of what living our lives holy and sanctified to the Lord really means, rather than living a worldly life.
Everytime you watch movies with bad content, or listen to that music, or gossip about people or anything like that, it hurts God deeply to see. How then can we say we love Jesus in one breath, and hurt Him contantly by our actions, and then make the excuse that we are free to salvation and because we are forgiven it means we can keep doing this?
Gossip is no where near as bad as the others you mentioned. Gossip requires lying about someone. Salvation is a free gift. You guys need to learn at the word 'FREE' means.
@JudgeEden Tell me, where in the bible does it have a list of what sins are worse than others? All sin is equal. Telling a lie is just as bad as murdering somebody. The difference is whether you repent or not.
Exactly, all sin is equal, I never said it wasn't.
Do you know what repentance is? It is when you regret a past action. Something as simple as regretting what you've done is repenting. You dont need to mope about all your life, like Paul Flusher.
@JudgeEden YesYou don't need to mope. Once you have repented, you are forgiven. But what I'm saying is.. DON'T CONTINUE TO DO IT AFTER!! Otherwise your repentance wasn't really repentance afterall because you were able to ignore the convictions of the Holy Spirit. That's all I'm saying. As a Christian, listen to convictions about sin and choose not to give into temptation. If you stumble and sin, repent and stop doing the sin. Simple as that. We NEED to stop allowing sin in our lives.
Yes, we have freedom in Christ. Freedom from all of the bondage of this world. When you sin, it means you still have ties to the world, which means you are actually negating that freedom that Christ has given us. In this video, he is trying to get the message across that we, as Christians, need to stop making excuses for our sin and start living the life that the Lord called us to, free from bondage and ties to the things of this world.
You sin everyday, I guess you have ties to the world.
No one is making excuses either, I know I sin, and I make no excuses for that. Are you guys perfect in thought as well as deed? If not, you're "living in sin".
Not once in the video was he comdemning anyone. He never says that these people are disgusting, failures, or any other condemning name calling. He wasn't hating at the Christians, he was hating the sin. Something we should all hate. Sin is the reason Jesus was tortured and put on that cross. He wasn't put on the cross so that people could go on living in sin and then using him to wipe it clean.
Tell me, what is "living in sin"? Wasn't this some term made up by modern Christians?
What constitutes living in sin?
And yes, Nate was condemning. How you cant see that is not that surprising, to tell you the truth. Jesus died on the cross to save us from the penalty of sin, not that you can strive for your own perfection. We were going to surely die without His help, if we could save ourselves by being perfect, Jesus didn't need to die.
@MikeReggie95 What's funny about your comment is that he is one of the few people who will still tell you the real truth in love and not out of anger.
@TheJordanhayes THATS a joke your trying to tell me this guy is loving he doesn't give a Sh*t about anyone and he spreads false doctrine. have a good look at this guy tell me do you think he cares he says he has a heart for everyone wow he is very quick to Dam people. don't fall for his act hes not a very good anger anyway
@MikeReggie95 it's funny reading all the comments online because simply enough if someone's willing to tell you that if you don't get saved your going to hell then they really have a heart for you. Trust me I wish I had someone screaming in my face that if i hadn't changed my ways I was going to hell.
You're not getting it, Nate is wrong in almost everything he says on this entire video. Why doesn't anyone understand this?
Are Christians so gullible that they'll believe everything this guys says? Even though all of the scriptures he use are out of context? All one has to do is read the chapter he got it from to determine that. But no, most here refuse to, and would rather lift up their hands and act as if they're bathing in love and truth. Yeah, sure.
Because, truth of the matter is, most dont read their Bibles. Neither does Nate from the looks of things. If he did, he wouldn't be using scriptures out of context and applying them to things they weren't meant for.
How many people go to a useless church to hear some sermon and wont bother to do any study themselves. And I mean unbiased study. Not confirming what your pastor taught.
Nate's dad is a pastor, so obviously he is biased towards anything his dad teaches. I wouldn't be surprised if he got the use of these scriptures from him.
I also find it funny he addresses YOU guys as "church people" when he's one himself. And he is also pushing the false doctrine of eternal torment. But then, most Christians are these days.
@JudgeEden I'm sorry have you ever read the book of jeremiah? If you have you would read that jeremiah's own preachings were never heard or believed. How many pastor do you thik honestly never get heard or understood? I hate to tell you this, God never mentions church at all "church people" would be considering people who sit in church and convict others. I'm wondering if you even watched the video because he obviously wasn't talking about every christian.
If "church people" are those that sit in church and convict others, isn't that what Nate is? I just said he attends a church, probably quite religiously. And he acts as if he has his act together and condemns those who dont. That is wrong, not everyone grows at the very same time, let's get that straight. And you will never be free from sin, you guys wont comprehend that. Sin will be here until the end.
By the way, i've watched the video many times. How the hell could I even make a rebuttal if I didn't? I know Nate wasn't talking about every Christian, I never said that. He is only speaking to those he deems as "living in sin". The self righteous Christians are fine.
And Pastors shouldn't be listened to, most of them are an utter waste of time.
@JudgeEden Well if you're so right then why don't you tell me how to live my life. Wait isn't that exactly what pastors do? ;) listen interpretation of the bible is entirely up to whoever so believes in reading it. He's saying church people are very hypocritical. Honestly, alot of them are, if you don't believe that then you obviously don't go to church very often. Church is the corner stone. Christ even says himself we should come together to support eachother. Church is just an excuse for that
No, Pastors are not to tell you how to live your life. The lessons the Bible gives can be taught, but many people go beyond that and include their little prejudices. And speak as if things THEY hate can be demonized with the use of scripture.
"Church" is NOT a corner stone, Jesus is. And the body of believers around the world is considered the Church. Even if I meet with one other believer, that is good enough to God.
Most churches are filled with people that really couldn't give two shits about each other. It may be hard to believe, but even churches can have cliques.
I stay away from churches because all they teach is false doctrine. And they are cesspools of stagnation. Hardly anyone grows spiritually if they stay tethered to a "church".
Atheist? You have it wrong. I have no idea what makes you think i'm atheist, I wouldn't be wasting my time if I was.
And no, what you meant to say is you'll stick with what your CHURCH taught you. Do you have to resort to stupid insults because you cant possibly say anything to refute anything I brought forth? I'm retarded AND a prick, yet you dont know me.
@TheJordanhayes and by the way every heard of once saved always saved
". . .for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5 ". . . him that cometh to me I WILL IN NO WISE CAST OUT." John 6:37 "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE FOR ALL. . . For by one offering he hath PERFECTED FOR EVER them that are sanctified."Hebrews 10:10,14
I can tell the difference between tough love and a person trying to sway your emotions, such as Mr "Nate Per Fail" here. When you watch the video, you tend to feel a certain way, and a lot of you like that. But I dont rely on emotions or feelings when judging truth. And a lot of you tend to overlook many of his bad arguments, even after myself and others pointed them out. I kind of expected that though.
If we are to judge a book by its cover, we must assume that your sin of choice is self-indulgence. You haven't spoken truth from experience. You have spoken the words of works recited from a pulpit. You have committed the very sin you wish to illuminate. You have made a video based on assumptions backed by misunderstood scripture. To judge the fruits of a tree requires careful attention, as fruit often rots from the inside. Until you have stood next to a dying Christan, seek silence.
I love this video. its so real (1 Peter 1:13-16 Therefore with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for IT IS WRETTEN: “Be holy, because I am holy.”) 'Holy' means to be set apart from this world
JAMES 4:4 'friend of the world is and enemy of God'
The biggest thing to remember is that when someone says when you stray from faith, it is not them trying to belittle or discourage you in faith. It is simply them extending a concerned warning. If, as a child, you were going to touch a very hot stovetop and your mother or father said, "Stop! Don't go near there! It will hurt you!" would you think they were trying to somehow keep you from something great? This is the purpose of truth, whether it be from a fellow Christian or the word of God.
I've also noticed several comments on how tolerating something doesn't mean you support it. However, if you subject yourself to the tolerance of evil, you become desensitized to it. You can no longer spot the deceit of the Devil as clearly. And I'm sure you've heard the saying "you are what you eat". Well, if you constantly take in the evils of this world, you will begin to accept them as truths.
Often, my friend and I talk about how what the world today calls "open mindedness" and "tolerance" will be the downfall of many Christians. We have to constantly remind ourselves, as followers of Christ, that we are not of this world and we cannot cling to this Earth and still serve God. This life is simply a moment in time compared to eternity. Is an eternity in Hell worth denying the Truth of God for only a moment?
I didn't rate this because not sure what to think. I do not agree with God smiling at the death of His Son or some other things he said. But I think the point he's trying to make is the "Christians" that are mislead by the thought that they can say they accept Christ but then continually sin on a regular basis thinking that God is merciful and will not condemn them. Paul warned against using your salvation as an excuse to sin. He said that if that was the case then there would have been no poi
Yet, who are you to judge if a person is saved based on sin? Who is Nate Fail? Who is texacosr?
Even a "lifestyle" of sin could be temporary. You dont know what types of problems a person may have, you dont know if the sins they are indulging in are a type of addiction. So why judge them based on it?
If some of the Old Testament people were still alive, you's say some of them weren't saved too.
King David had a guy killed so he could take his wife, Peter denied Jesus three consecutive times, King Solomon turned to the occult and witchcraft.
I'm not saying we can do what we want, but at the same time, quit making it seem as if YOU can see clearly to judge the sins of another. And you are supposed to talk to people like this in love, not condemnation. Not once will you ever see the disciples doing this to Christian people.
God Did NOT Smile as Christ Died, If you remember he TURNED AWAY from the scene. Second The Gates of Hell Sealed for Eternity after the Millennial Rein, (I do, believe,) ALSO When he said you can't be saved by your Faith I felt greatly disturbed, because John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." That says WHOEVER BELIEVES.
@texacosr Do I still have time to change my ways? Can I still repent, or will God judge me for sins I've committed before I've changed, and seen his word?
@benpress435 When you repent Christs cloak of blood covers your sins, you are free from what you have done, from there on you must live your life for Christ, despising sin. it doesn't mean you wont stumble, you need to repent of that sin though.
@benpress435 you always can change you ways and still repent and god never judges you for whatever you've done because trust me i've done really bad things but he'll forgive you but you have to believe he can and will forgive
You JUST said Salvation was free, then you contradict yourself by saying it isn't.
If it is a free gift, it is granted no matter what. You guy love to say that you receive Salvation by faith one moment, and the very next breath you take you smash that to pieces by saying this kind of crap. Salvation doesn't cost a thing, just believe in Jesus Christ and the one who sent Him, which is God the Father.
And to repent does not mean to give up sin, it does not mean to even turn your back on sin. It means to change your mind. If you regret doing something, THAT is repenting. Repenting need not be so formal.
If anyone is looking for Salvation, you wont find it being properly taught by people like the guy in the video. Benpress, if you believe, you are saved. That's that.
By the way, the scripture he ends with in Isaiah cannot be used against Christians. He just pulled two small verses from that whole entire chapter. The whole chapter went together, you cannot take one piece of it and use it as proof for what you're saying. It wasn't even about salvation at all.
Nate has no idea what he's talking about, yet people praise him anyway. How ridiculous.
@marissayeahyeah We STRIVE for perfection, but we will NEVER obtain it on this earth. I feel this man is quite off. Yes, if you are sinning deliberately it means you aren't saved, BUT saying that any Christian who stumbles in Sin is going to hell is way off. God is a God of Love, The New Testament is FULL of Gods mercy and Love. We most likely will sin in our walk with Christ, but if we ask for his forgiveness we can continue our walk.
@marissayeahyeah There is forgiveness for sins. Nate's point is that after people claim salvation and forgiveness, they go on continuing to live in a sinful lifestyle. The Lord did not die for our sins so we could continue in them. He died so we could be free of them. I'm not talking about a mistake but a lifestyle of sin.
No, no, no, no. No wonder people hate "religion"... This is not the Kingdom! This is RELIGION and seems like the motive behind this is hate. God is not like this, this is just a man's twisted view. God is LOVE and salvation is by faith, not works. We are perfected IN CHRIST, We are not expected to do anything but believe in Him and LOVE Him. Jesus is the way.
@itsclassygal4u A true believer in Christ, someone who is saved in His name, would not want to continue to live in sin, for then they would not be living within Christ at all; a true believer would put themselves through the pains and fires of changing themselves (His sanctification of us) in order to live more like Him; he's not saying that works = salvation but that salvation should produce works in us - if that's not seen, one's salvation ought to be questioned - did your heart really change?
@itsclassygal4u Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, yes. However, we are not only supposed to believe and love God, but we must also be fearful of the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding". And I agree, salvation is by faith. But by faith, we should be obedient. By love we should glorify God in all that we do. And by fear, we should want to follow in the footsteps of Christ with every fiber of our being.
@itsclassygal4u Hebrews Hebrews 12:14 "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."
It doesnt say 'if you dont love him you wont see the Lord and you wont enter the kingdom of God.' It says 'without holiness NO ONE will see the father' thats what hes talking about. church people not being HOLY
This seems like such work based salvation. We don't become perfect to be saved. God saves the imperfect. Even after God regenerates, changes our primary passion toward Christ, we are foolish and sometimes follow our former passions. We are constantly being sanctified.
@MAJORFR0 God saves the imperfect, yes, but then He demands that they obey Him, that they give up their own sinful, selfish ways to live as He calls them to; would someone constantly living in that sin, toiling in it, truly be a follower of Christ? I can't say for certain, but I'm tempted to respond in the negative. His righteousness should produce good fruit in us, and that good fruit spoils a REAL relationship with Him when we let sin get in the way - that's what I believe he's saying.
@MAJORFR0 This is not works based salvation. Salvation is a free gift and God is Love but God is also Just. You don't live for the Lord to earn salvation, you Live for Him because of salvation.
We have watered down the gospel so much nowadays. Great preachers from years gone by like Tozer, Chambers, Pink, Simpson would not even recognize what most people call Christianity today.
Nate's video is exactly what they preached then. How far we have fallen
Im sorry but I feel as if this Guy is WAY off base.
1st of all, John 3 16.
2nd God Turned away during Christs death, he DID NOT smile.
3rd Matthew 25 in a summary,
"Watch For and Seek God Always, Use what God has given you in order to multiply it, and Treat EVERY Human Being as if they are Christ, doing these things are following Christ. Doing these things and Having Faith in Christ means Salvation."
4th where did he get the "Lake of Fire being Visalbe for eternity?"
@txdiva09 It was, but it wasn't the physical aspect of the crucifixion that atoned for our sins; it was God's wrath poured out onto Jesus in the spiritual realm that atoned for them.
Regardless of anybody's opinions or standpoints, that isn't going to count for anything on Judgement Day. Winning an argument about the Lord's thought-process isn't going to help you get into Heaven. You do have to dig a little bit and think, but God's Word, His expectations, resentments, etc, are all in the Bible, a book anyone can pick up and read. Everyone should stop spending time fighting over religion and work on glorifying our Savior, you have no chance otherwise
@guywiththerussianhat He's obviously so passionate because he has had experiences with God. This type of passion doesn't come from nowhere. Perhaps consider that?
@Vappor01 Look at Dawkins, Hitchens RIP or Harris, all of which denied God with a fiery passion far beyond what this guy is displaying. They admit to no divine interventions yet they are passionate for what they stand for. So as you're implying passion doesn't derive from a belief in God. You'd do well to remember that.
@guywiththerussianhat I suppose you're right, though I meant more to say that passion comes from experiences, not nothing. I was merely suggesting that perhaps his experiences led him to believe in God for a reason, because he has come to encounter Him, and not because he simply was told about "fairy tales." I'm trying to say that maybe it's not as simple as "believe what the guy with the big hat says," is all. Does that make any sense? Having an awful time phrasing my thoughts today, sorry!
@Vappor01 Yes i get you. However this begs a further question of whether you believe god has a plan for us? if that is the case then why would the events in my life (if we assume that "spiritual" experiences lead to belief in a deity) would lead me to non-belief and thus damning to hellfire. Or why God has created millions of children who will be born muslim or jewish to be cast to eternal hellfire. If No, do we really have free will? Either "WORSHIP ME" or "HELLFIRE". Not much choice.
@guywiththerussianhat God has a plan for each and every one of us, in that He knows every single step of our entire lives. But we ultimately have free will. This is a contradiction that I have a very very VERY difficult time understanding as well. But if our God were small enough to understand, he wouldn't be big enough to be God.
@guywiththerussianhat Although Passion doesn't translate into a belief in God because you can be passionate about anything including the wrong things. I can tell you one thing. Mr. Hitchens knows there is a God right now.
@texacosr Passion when driven into the wrong things is exaclty my point, i said imagine if this young man had applied himself into something worthwhile such as science and he used that to further increase man's understanding of the world we inhabit. Rather than concerning himself with a 2000year old book which has been translated several times and any event when checked from records at the time show no cohesion. The 10plagues on egypt have no mention in any historical egyptian texts.
@guywiththerussianhat Your trying to look at the Bible through man's ideas. You have the greatest history book of all time saying that those plagues happened and yet you don't believe. I doubt if there was another history book that agreed, you would believe then either.
Many people have set out to prove the Bible wrong for many reasons. None have succeeded.
You need what is called faith. I will be praying for you bro.
@texacosr I say I reject the bible due to a lack of evidence, and yet you say that provided with adequate evidence i would not accept at least that one myth (of which there are many in the bible). Faith is the rejection of reason and logic, something i can't personally abide. So sorry "Bro" I can only hope you open your eyes to reality. I feel angry for people like you, all the wasted talent spent on this anachronism which has done us no favours I just think of where we could be.
@guywiththerussianhat The church imprisoned anyone who stood against it when it was proven wrong. The quashed reasonable debate and logic. The church is a tool of control and it has it's roots firmly inside your head. I take it you've read the bible as you call it the "Greatest history book of all time" and yet you still even want to worship a God who has committed genocide, infanticide and murder. That frankly baffles me.
No I would never consider any man using magic to open up the sea or walking on water or rising from the dead.
I do believe that Jesus who was the son of God did walk on water and also rise from the dead. Were not talking about a man. We're talking about the creator of the universe. If he can create the universe and everything in it just by speaking. Walking on water and rising from the dead are small things.
@txdiva09 God cannot be with sin. He cannot tolerate it because He is justice, and He is righteousness. Righteousness cannot tolerate sin, and so sinful beings must be condemned to eternity away from that Righteousness; that is Hell. An eternity in Hell was the cost of every sin ever committed. That amount of pain, spiritual pain, can alone be covered by God's grace in pouring out that wrath, not the fleshly pain that He experienced when He came down. Does that make any sense?
You need to talk to Jeff Bethke about his video, that has gone viral with over 9 million views ! HE is leading young believers astray and giving them FULL license to sin, because they DO Not Know God's Word ... it's called Why I hate religion
Every time I feel distant from God, I watch this. I'm 17 and i struggle extremely hard to stay abstinent. This gives me strength. I REALLY appreciate this video.
@PiNKxoOBSSESiONxo We all struggle against sin. Can I suggest when you feel distant from God or are struggling with sin that you run to the bible. God is our strength. This video is full of truth but it comes from the truth source. I'll be praying for you.
Here's a curveball for you. I'm gay. And if God is just, HE CAN'T FORGIVE ME, RIGHT?? I'm going to hell according to this and I don't believe that. I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding but if I am..... This is the reason.
@zubop012991 The Bible says Homosexuality is a sin. But if you died right now, You would be going to hell for not accepting Jesus as your lord and savior and Repenting of all your sin.
God is just and can also forgive your sin because of Jesus dying on the cross for your sin, but first you must accept this free gift and then turn from your sin.
@texacosr I am celibate BECAUSE I am gay. I have accepted Jesus.
I'm not trying to argue, but dude, all I am hearing in this is you telling people theyre going to hell for their imperfections, and if they don't know how to handle them.
@zubop012991 no, I never said people are going to hell for imperfections. What I said was, People go to hell for not accepting Jesus into their heart as their Lord and Savior and Repenting of their sins.
This is not my belief, This is what God's word says.
@texacosr (I am choosing to post these instead of asking you personally for a chance of someone else seeing similar questions) Believing in God, "accepting him" and still sinning will send you to hell, unless you show HIM, and his love in your fruit. Am I on the right track so far?
@zubop012991 Believing in god is not actually accepting Him. Satan and all the demons believe in God.
"If you love me, obey my commandments" Accepting Jesus is accepting him as the Lord of your life. With that comes sanctification from Sin. Nobody who has truly accepted Jesus will continue to live in unrepentant sin.
I'm not talking a mistake, I'm talking about a habitual lifestyle of sin. Showing fruit does not help us get saved. Fruit is the proof that we are saved.
@texacosr Okay, I understand that a bit more. I understand what you are saying now. Or a bit more at least.
But what about the people that love others, lift them up, and make their lives better? They don't glorify God or go to church. Do you believe that they still go to hell?
One of my close friends is an atheistic agnostic, and he has helped me, knowingly in my faith. Does he go to hell?
@zubop012991 It doesn't matter what I believe. The Bible says that the only way to the Father is through His Son Jesus.
Jesus said, unless you are born again, you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven. You can only be born again by truly "accepting Jesus" as your Lord and Savior.
Anyone who dies without this pardon for their sins will end up going to hell. The problem is we are looking at it from our standard of good, rather than God's standard. None of us are truly good.Jesus is.
@texacosr I have accepted Jesus, he is a part of my life. My celibacy is the way I repent from homosexuality. But I really do not understand this video. It feels like you're telling me that I will go to hell because of my insecurities. Yes, I understand that you arent. But I am misunderstanding what this is saying to me.
this video has opened my eyes more and confirms what God has been speaking to me in recent times about getting in deeper with Him and making a clear distinction of myself away from the world. thanks for posting.
In Rom.2, Paul is clear that the DOERS of the Law will be justified. Paul also endorses being instructed out of the Law in verse Rom.2:18. Scripture teaches that Paul was Torah observant. Our eternal salvation is based upon faith in Messiah & repentance from our old ways, & we need to observe the fundamentals of the Law to the best of our ability. His blood atones for sins committed in ignorance, & sins that are repented of. But his blood does not apply to unrepented sins committed w/ knowledge.
According to the BIBLE, TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD AFTER GETTING "BORN AGAIN" YOU MUST NOT:
-Turn from your righteousness and do evil,or you will die spiritually (Ezek.3:20; 18:24; 33:18; Rom.8:13)
-Become sexually immoral, an idolater, a liar, an alcoholic, etc.,which will cause you to not inherit the kingdom of God but instead end up in the LAKE OF FIRE
At salvation, all sin to that point is forgiven and forgotten. But all sins committed afterwards are NOT automatically covered. If they were, then Rom. 8:13; Gal.5:19-21; etc. would be senseless! Jesus taught that our future sins would not automatically be forgiven in Matt. 6:14,15. Many get saved, but afterwards fall away (Lk. 8:13; Jn. 6:66; 1 Tim.1:19; etc.).After initial salvation we must endure to the "end" to enter Heaven & escape Hell (Mt.10:22; Heb.3:14; Rev.2:10,11).
(Part 6) "For this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us first." (1 John 4:9) I don't mean this to be a total attack on this video; there are some central truths to it. I only want to point out that you have missed the mark on some level. All the best. God Bless.
@sjcarlto I'm sorry brother but I have to disagree. Just because we have a sin nature does not mean we have to obey it. That's exactly why Jesus came. To die for our sins and break the hold that sin has on us so that we may be "Holy as He is Holy". I am not saying that we will be sinless, but any true born again Christian will not continue to live in unrepentant sin. Jesus whole message was built around Repent and Believe. they go hand in hand. The whole bible must be taken in context.
"For this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us first." (1 John 4:9) I don't mean this to be a total attack on this video; there are some central truths to it. I only want to point out that you have missed the mark on some level. All the best. God Bless.
@sjcarlto People talk about works salvation but your repentance of sin does not earn your salvation, it never could, but it is a product of your salvation because of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us. We no longer are a slave to sin because the power of sin has been broken by Jesus death and we are now free to obey Him.
The Bible says you are a slave to whatever controls you. So if you are controlled by sin, it will lead to death. You must be controlled by the new nature.
(Part 5) The Bible says 'If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9) A life of faith in Jesus is one that aspires to not sin, not one that succeeds. No one can succeed, and God IS merciful. He DOES forgive us. Countless passages attest to this central idea. More than that God is LOVE. He sent Jesus as the atonement of our sins, so that we may be with Him.

Everybody has a God shaped whole in their heart, but people try to fill it with everything else but God.

can I just ask one question, plz? have some of you figured out how to live a sinless life?seriously??? BE HONEST.... you've actually managed to stop sinning? Don't you realize that it is the spirit of God ALIVE in you that restores you from the inside out? it's a PROCESS initiated and eventually completed by God. How on earth could any human being manage to stop sinning of their own volition??? YOU CAN"T!!! leave it to the only ONE who is able.
amytubed 3 weeks ago

Jesus is coming!
fathershand 3 weeks ago 5
@fathershand Exactly! This is what this video is all about, real repentance. Not the watered down version of today which produces no fruit and ends up leading you to hell.
Real repentance is actually turning away from sin.
texacosr 3 weeks ago 2
Should we continue in Sin so that Grace can abound? - Paul.
Burn your conscience when you continue to sin. The first thing taught by Christ...and by John the Baptize is REPENT! That means turn away and never return. Sin in a Christian life is not supposed to exist - Not meaning that you will be perfect. You will stumble now and then. What I mean is, your conscious effort to sin should not exist. If it does... check yourself.
kennygulley23 4 weeks ago
@kennygulley23
No one wakes up in the morning and thinks "What ways can I sin today?"
All sin is caused by temptations, and you sin by giving into these temptations. This does not require a conscious effort, but a weak will. People should check themselves even if they think they are in the right, not just because they have problem with sin.
JudgeEden 4 weeks ago
@JudgeEden I never said someone wakes up with a conscious effort to sin. But a person can make that conscious effort if when in temptation the Word of God or their conscience tells them "you should not be doing this/ flee from temptation" comes up and they still go through with it, then they're in trouble. Conviction is great, but it is useless if you ignore it the second time around.
Ignoring that can lead to what paul says as a "searing of the conscience" brought by hypocrisy or false practice

This still doesn't mean someone should listen to them and only them for guidance. Above all, people need to read the bible themselves and listen to what it teaches and what the Lord says to them.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
And I wouldn't go as far to say to not listen to any Pastors. There are some who do not speak the truth, but that is where discernment from the Holy Spirit comes in. More people need to use it. But there are some who truly take their guidance from the Lord. They get the messages they preach about from Him, and they are earnestly trying to give people guidance as to what it says in the bible.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@AlyssaL33
You are naive if you think only SOME pastors are corrupt. At the very least, the VAST majority are corrupt.
JudgeEden 4 weeks ago
Yes you're right about Jesus being the cornerstone, not the church. The church isn't the building or place, it's the body of believers. And yes, sadly, the church has a lot of people who are hypocrites and who don't really follow what it says in the bible. In the first churches, it was some people who met and ate together at someone's house and shared about revelations they had had the past week and any words from God or encouragements.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@AlyssaL33
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@JudgeEden And yes, I, like any other human being born into a sinful world, am a sinner. I will freely admit that. And I know that the Lord forgives me when I come to Him and repent. I, like anybody else who is a child of God, do not have to live in condemnation from the devil because I know that I am completely forgiven.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@JudgeEden Nate admits he is a sinner too in the video. This video isn't a call the judge or condemn people who have sinned. It's more so of a wake up call for those who have been lukewarm. Saying they love God, but then don't live their life like it. And people like that God says that he is going to spit out. .
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@JudgeEden But here's the thing- people can repent of their ways and God will completely forgive them through the Lord Jesus Christ. It's a call for us as Christians, to be an example of what living our lives holy and sanctified to the Lord really means, rather than living a worldly life.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
Everytime you watch movies with bad content, or listen to that music, or gossip about people or anything like that, it hurts God deeply to see. How then can we say we love Jesus in one breath, and hurt Him contantly by our actions, and then make the excuse that we are free to salvation and because we are forgiven it means we can keep doing this?
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@AlyssaL33
Gossip is no where near as bad as the others you mentioned. Gossip requires lying about someone. Salvation is a free gift. You guys need to learn at the word 'FREE' means.
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@JudgeEden Tell me, where in the bible does it have a list of what sins are worse than others? All sin is equal. Telling a lie is just as bad as murdering somebody. The difference is whether you repent or not.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@AlyssaL33
Exactly, all sin is equal, I never said it wasn't.
Do you know what repentance is? It is when you regret a past action. Something as simple as regretting what you've done is repenting. You dont need to mope about all your life, like Paul Flusher.
JudgeEden 4 weeks ago
@JudgeEden YesYou don't need to mope. Once you have repented, you are forgiven. But what I'm saying is.. DON'T CONTINUE TO DO IT AFTER!! Otherwise your repentance wasn't really repentance afterall because you were able to ignore the convictions of the Holy Spirit. That's all I'm saying. As a Christian, listen to convictions about sin and choose not to give into temptation. If you stumble and sin, repent and stop doing the sin. Simple as that. We NEED to stop allowing sin in our lives.
AlyssaL33 4 weeks ago
Yes, we have freedom in Christ. Freedom from all of the bondage of this world. When you sin, it means you still have ties to the world, which means you are actually negating that freedom that Christ has given us. In this video, he is trying to get the message across that we, as Christians, need to stop making excuses for our sin and start living the life that the Lord called us to, free from bondage and ties to the things of this world.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@AlyssaL33
You sin everyday, I guess you have ties to the world.
No one is making excuses either, I know I sin, and I make no excuses for that. Are you guys perfect in thought as well as deed? If not, you're "living in sin".
JudgeEden 1 month ago
Not once in the video was he comdemning anyone. He never says that these people are disgusting, failures, or any other condemning name calling. He wasn't hating at the Christians, he was hating the sin. Something we should all hate. Sin is the reason Jesus was tortured and put on that cross. He wasn't put on the cross so that people could go on living in sin and then using him to wipe it clean.
AlyssaL33 1 month ago
@AlyssaL33

@TheJordanhayes
Yeah, sure.
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@TheJordanhayes
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@TheJordanhayes
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@JudgeEden I'm sorry have you ever read the book of jeremiah? If you have you would read that jeremiah's own preachings were never heard or believed. How many pastor do you thik honestly never get heard or understood? I hate to tell you this, God never mentions church at all "church people" would be considering people who sit in church and convict others. I'm wondering if you even watched the video because he obviously wasn't talking about every christian.
TheJordanhayes 1 month ago
@TheJordanhayes
What are you talking about?
If "church people" are those that sit in church and convict others, isn't that what Nate is? I just said he attends a church, probably quite religiously. And he acts as if he has his act together and condemns those who dont. That is wrong, not everyone grows at the very same time, let's get that straight. And you will never be free from sin, you guys wont comprehend that. Sin will be here until the end.
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@TheJordanhayes
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@JudgeEden Well if you're so right then why don't you tell me how to live my life. Wait isn't that exactly what pastors do? ;) listen interpretation of the bible is entirely up to whoever so believes in reading it. He's saying church people are very hypocritical. Honestly, alot of them are, if you don't believe that then you obviously don't go to church very often. Church is the corner stone. Christ even says himself we should come together to support eachother. Church is just an excuse for that
TheJordanhayes 1 month ago
@TheJordanhayes
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@TheJordanhayes

I can tell the difference between tough love and a person trying to sway your emotions, such as Mr "Nate Per Fail" here. When you watch the video, you tend to feel a certain way, and a lot of you like that. But I dont rely on emotions or feelings when judging truth. Child,
If we are to judge a book by its cover, we must assume that your sin of choice is self-indulgence.

02Luckiest 1 month ago
Often, my friend and I talk about how what the world today calls "open mindedness" and "tolerance" will be the downfall of many Christians. We have to constantly remind ourselves, as followers of Christ, that we are not of this world and we cannot cling to this Earth and still serve God. This life is simply a moment in time compared to eternity. Is an eternity in Hell worth denying the Truth of God for only a moment?

Yet, who are you to judge if a person is saved based on sin? Who is Nate Fail? Who is texacosr?
Even a "lifestyle" of sin could be temporary. You dont know what types of problems a person may have, you dont know if the sins they are indulging in are a type of addiction. So why judge them based on it?
If some of the Old Testament people were still alive, you's say some of them weren't saved too.

JudgeEden 1 month ago
@JudgeEden
JudgeEden 1 month ago
@JudgeEden
How ridiculous.

i think this is great and true. but…then where is forgiveness? i feel like hes saying we have to be perfect and thats just not possible.
idk, maybe im an idiot and didnt understand.
marissayeahyeah 1 month ago
@marissayeahyeah We STRIVE for perfection, but we will NEVER obtain it on this earth. I feel this man is quite off. Yes, if you are sinning deliberately it means you aren't saved, BUT saying that any Christian who stumbles in Sin is going to hell is way off. God is a God of Love, The New Testament is FULL of Gods mercy and Love. We most likely will sin in our walk with Christ, but if we ask for his forgiveness we can continue our walk.
ThatFreakDJ 1 month ago
@ThatFreakDJ i completely agree with you thats why i was a little confused. thank you for that.
marissayeahyeah 1 month ago
@marissayeahyeah Even if I am Completely wrong, scripturally I do not think I am, Do things out of Love for Christ, not the fear of Hell.
ThatFreakDJ 1 month ago

Jesus is the way.
itsclassygal4u 1 month ago

Search "Matt Chandler - Of First Importance"
MAJORFR0 1 month ago
@MAJORFR0 God saves the imperfect, yes, but then He demands that they obey Him, that they give up their own sinful, selfish ways to live as He calls them to; would someone constantly living in that sin, toiling in it, truly be a follower of Christ? I can't say for certain, but I'm tempted to respond in the negative. His righteousness should produce good fruit in us, and that good fruit spoils a REAL relationship with Him when we let sin get in the way - that's what I believe he's saying.
Vappor01 1 month ago
@MAJORFR0 This is not works based salvation. Salvation is a free gift and God is Love but God is also Just. You don't live for the Lord to earn salvation, you Live for Him because of salvation.
We have watered down the gospel so much nowadays. Great preachers from years gone by like Tozer, Chambers, Pink, Simpson would not even recognize what most people call Christianity today.
Nate's video is exactly what they preached then. How far we have fallen

This man is wasting his life on fairy tales, sad. Imagine this sort of passion for science? It's a crying shame.
guywiththerussianhat 1 month ago
@guywiththerussianhat He's obviously so passionate because he has had experiences with God. This type of passion doesn't come from nowhere. Perhaps consider that?
Vappor01 1 month ago
@Vappor01 Look at Dawkins, Hitchens RIP or Harris, all of which denied God with a fiery passion far beyond what this guy is displaying. They admit to no divine interventions yet they are passionate for what they stand for. So as you're implying passion doesn't derive from a belief in God. You'd do well to remember that.
guywiththerussianhat 1 month ago
@guywiththerussianhat I suppose you're right, though I meant more to say that passion comes from experiences, not nothing. I was merely suggesting that perhaps his experiences led him to believe in God for a reason, because he has come to encounter Him, and not because he simply was told about "fairy tales." I'm trying to say that maybe it's not as simple as "believe what the guy with the big hat says," is all. Does that make any sense? Having an awful time phrasing my thoughts today, sorry!
Vappor01 1 month ago
@Vappor01 Yes i get you. However this begs a further question of whether you believe god has a plan for us? if that is the case then why would the events in my life (if we assume that "spiritual" experiences lead to belief in a deity) would lead me to non-belief and thus damning to hellfire. Or why God has created millions of children who will be born muslim or jewish to be cast to eternal hellfire. If No, do we really have free will? Either "WORSHIP ME" or "HELLFIRE". Not much choice.
guywiththerussianhat 1 month ago
@guywiththerussianhat God has a plan for each and every one of us, in that He knows every single step of our entire lives. But we ultimately have free will. This is a contradiction that I have a very very VERY difficult time understanding as well. But if our God were small enough to understand, he wouldn't be big enough to be God.
02Luckiest 1 month ago
@02Luckiest "This is a contradiction." Enough said.
guywiththerussianhat 1 month ago
@guywiththerussianhat Although Passion doesn't translate into a belief in God because you can be passionate about anything including the wrong things. I can tell you one thing. Mr. Hitchens knows there is a God right now.
texacosr 1 month ago
@texacosr Passion when driven into the wrong things is exaclty my point, i said imagine if this young man had applied himself into something worthwhile such as science and he used that to further increase man's understanding of the world we inhabit. Rather than concerning himself with a 2000year old book which has been translated several times and any event when checked from records at the time show no cohesion. The 10plagues on egypt have no mention in any historical egyptian texts.
guywiththerussianhat 1 month ago
@guywiththerussianhat Your trying to look at the Bible through man's ideas. You have the greatest history book of all time saying that those plagues happened and yet you don't believe. I doubt if there was another history book that agreed, you would believe then either.
Many people have set out to prove the Bible wrong for many reasons. None have succeeded.
You need what is called faith. I will be praying for you bro.
texacosr 1 month ago
@texacosr I say I reject the bible due to a lack of evidence, and yet you say that provided with adequate evidence i would not accept at least that one myth (of which there are many in the bible). Faith is the rejection of reason and logic, something i can't personally abide. So sorry "Bro" I can only hope you open your eyes to reality. I feel angry for people like you, all the wasted talent spent on this anachronism which has done us no favours I just think of where we could be.
guywiththerussianhat 1 month ago

"if you multiplied all I went through times 1000 it still couldn't cover your one sin". Explain please?
txdiva09 1 month ago
@txdiva09 God cannot be with sin. He cannot tolerate it because He is justice, and He is righteousness. Righteousness cannot tolerate sin, and so sinful beings must be condemned to eternity away from that Righteousness; that is Hell. An eternity in Hell was the cost of every sin ever committed. That amount of pain, spiritual pain, can alone be covered by God's grace in pouring out that wrath, not the fleshly pain that He experienced when He came down. Does that make any sense?

@zubop012991 The Bible says Homosexuality is a sin. But if you died right now, You would be going to hell for not accepting Jesus as your lord and savior and Repenting of all your sin.
God is just and can also forgive your sin because of Jesus dying on the cross for your sin, but first you must accept this free gift and then turn from your sin.
texacosr 1 month ago
@texacosr I am celibate BECAUSE I am gay. I have accepted Jesus.
I'm not trying to argue, but dude, all I am hearing in this is you telling people theyre going to hell for their imperfections, and if they don't know how to handle them.
zubop012991 1 month ago
@zubop012991 no, I never said people are going to hell for imperfections. What I said was, People go to hell for not accepting Jesus into their heart as their Lord and Savior and Repenting of their sins.
This is not my belief, This is what God's word says.
texacosr 1 month ago
@texacosr (I am choosing to post these instead of asking you personally for a chance of someone else seeing similar questions) Believing in God, "accepting him" and still sinning will send you to hell, unless you show HIM, and his love in your fruit. Am I on the right track so far?
zubop012991 1 month ago
@zubop012991 Believing in god is not actually accepting Him. Satan and all the demons believe in God.
"If you love me, obey my commandments" Accepting Jesus is accepting him as the Lord of your life. With that comes sanctification from Sin. Nobody who has truly accepted Jesus will continue to live in unrepentant sin.
I'm not talking a mistake, I'm talking about a habitual lifestyle of sin. Showing fruit does not help us get saved. Fruit is the proof that we are saved.
texacosr 1 month ago
@texacosr Okay, I understand that a bit more. I understand what you are saying now. Or a bit more at least.
But what about the people that love others, lift them up, and make their lives better? They don't glorify God or go to church. Do you believe that they still go to hell?
One of my close friends is an atheistic agnostic, and he has helped me, knowingly in my faith. Does he go to hell?
zubop012991 1 month ago
@zubop012991 It doesn't matter what I believe. The Bible says that the only way to the Father is through His Son Jesus.
Jesus said, unless you are born again, you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven. You can only be born again by truly "accepting Jesus" as your Lord and Savior.
Anyone who dies without this pardon for their sins will end up going to hell. The problem is we are looking at it from our standard of good, rather than God's standard. None of us are truly good.Jesus is.

(1Cor.6:9,10; Gal.5:19-21;Eph.5:5-7; Rev.21:8; 22:15; Mk.7:20-23).
-Defile your temple or God will destroy you (1Cor.3:17).
serenityluvsgod 1 month ago
At salvation, all sin to that point is forgiven and forgotten. But all sins committed afterwards are NOT automatically covered. If they were, then Rom. 8:13; Gal.5:19-21; etc. would be senseless! Jesus taught that our future sins would not automatically be forgiven in Matt. 6:14,15. Many get saved, but afterwards fall away (Lk. 8:13; Jn. 6:66; 1 Tim.1:19; etc.).After initial salvation we must endure to the "end" to enter Heaven & escape Hell (Mt.10:22; Heb.3:14; Rev.2:10,11).

sjcarlto 1 month ago
@sjcarlto I'm sorry brother but I have to disagree. Just because we have a sin nature does not mean we have to obey it. That's exactly why Jesus came. To die for our sins and break the hold that sin has on us so that we may be "Holy as He is Holy". I am not saying that we will be sinless, but any true born again Christian will not continue to live in unrepentant sin. Jesus whole message was built around Repent and Believe. they go hand in hand. The whole bible must be taken in context.
