The poor boy. Elephants truly are some of the most amazing animals. To show such sadness like that is just incredible. Just to see that emotion and desperation just pulls at your heart strings.
Excellent video showing the loving nature of elephants and how important their family and societal ties are. How moving. This looks like a young elephant (under 7 or 8) trying to revive it's mother.
This is proof elephants feel emotions much like our own. They do indeed have a brain more complex than our own, a brain configured like our own and have highly developed emotions and grieve. To bury the dead indicates a very deep intelligence.

People should do hard time for killing elephants. They are clearly highly intelligent and probably sentient creatures with emotions much like ours.

I cannot even fathom what this must've been to witness live. I am crying just watching him try to will her alive.

Elephants are intelligent, almost to our level. So they learn skills from others quite easily. CPR is quite simple really.
