  • OMG Houses accent !

    i never knew

  • I love Hugh's "What's that?" reaction to Jesse's groan.

  • lol how sad that cuddy is already history now

  • cuddy = milf

  • LOVE 1:20 its soooo funny

  • lol, hugh is thinking "my wife is going to kill you, maybe me first, but you as well"

  • 2:15 he talks in his American accent XD

  • I think it's awesome how they completely block their personal gestures when they're playing their characters in the series and use a completely different set when theyre acting.

They look so different doing their personal gestures here.

  • That video cracked me up 50 times in a row xD Still do

  • I'm impressed by the englishmans american accent. he had me completely fooled, I did not know, until recently, that he was english!! I thought he was american.

  • amazing :) love Hugh

  • 1:14 gosh i could watch Jesse's face over and over again

  • JESSE SO FUNNY XDD

  • Cuddy has the thinnest legs ever :O

  • he not just change fake his accent . he actually change his tone for the show . i love this actor !

  • @jenwww its deper and more scratchy

  • funny !

  • i like house,,,great show

  • 1:20 "Ooohh...Sorry!" xDDD ahahha Jesse Spencer made this so epic now! xD

  • Hahaha, Jesse! XD

  • Ohooo...! o.0 Sorry!!!! xD

  • can anybody translate ? subtitle ?

  • "because he's limping...."

    LOL that was ridiculously hilarious!

  • His accent makes me so flabbergasted hahaha

  • PLEASE CHECK OUT Woo Weezy Olay commercial

  • "We just watch you Hugh...oh, cut that out"

    haha..

  • 911 like 11 dislike irony

  • Drinking Aquafina out of wine glasses. Very classy

  • Still can't believe this is the same dude from the Black Adder! Crazy transformation. That's talent. Us yanks need to start thinking for ourselves again, and we could have more of this and less of all the rest of the crap they shove down our throats and call art just to turn around and charge us $100 a month for said crap!

  • I love British accents.

  • i miss dr cameron :(

  • haha. I watch that one part over and over again. when Jesse interupts Hugh. I don't know why but it's funny. <3 I love them all.

  • LMAO AT JESSE SPENCER! :D LOVEHIM!

  • holy crap! house has a brittish accent in real life!

  • @Ivans1000000 Yeah, he's a really big deal in England, known primarily for his comedic work with Stephen Fry.

  • @Ivans1000000 it's an unfortunate side effect that we get from being English ;)

  • I still cannot believe he is english! John Jay had it right.. Bit of a British Invasion were having here.. can't complain though. lol

  • God damn. English Hugh sounds so WRONG.

  • @AnveshIsTheName Not if you're English, and you've known him as a household name since the mid 80s. It's the American that sounds wrong! :p

  • <3 jesse spencer

  • Well Hugh sounds like such a darn englishman when not in-char :\

  • @MrPunchYoNuts He is a darn englishman so anything else would be very weird.

  • Hugh Laurie! I hugh Laurie and Johnny Depp.

  • It's funny because Americans find it weird hearing Hugh speak in his real English accent but myself (a Brit) find it weird hearing him speak in an American accent.

He has done a fair few years of work on English tv already which, as Americans have never seen it, suppose it's understandable that they wouldn't already realise that he's a well known English actor. He did work with Stephen Fry though who I thought Americans knew?

  • hahaha i LoVe iT aT 1:18 !!! ThEy ArE Soo AwEsOmE xĐ HaHaHaHa

  • I love the show but, I wish it would stop pushing a Liberal Politics. Not everyone who enjoys this show is a Liberal or a Democrat.

  • @jimd1968 I know rite - people espousing politics not our own!

It's like - why can't they just self-censor their political views that are entirely natural and that we all express, and we expect of realistic well rounded characters, and instead lose a dimension of themselves and be less well rounded, so we don't have to go on the internet and push our political agendas about how other people should stop pushing their political agendas.

The nerve of some people - with diverse opinions

  • @GraeHall, Dieverse Opinions!!!! Where's the Dieversity? Most of what you see is on the TV is pro liberal, from TV shows to the National Media News outlets. Look would like a little Dieversity if they are going to play politics. Also this is coming from someone who is a Moderate, and has voted for both Dem & Rep.

  • Hugh is sooo fucking pro

  • Oh you've got to just bloody love Jesse Spencer haven't you? Jeez the man is gorgeous!

  • what i dont understand is why they didnt give jesse's character an accent. hugh gets an accent, but jesse doesnt?

  • cut that out, ^_^

  • i didnt know that house had a british accent

  • It's so hilarious to hear americans talking about it being unaccustomed to Hugh Lauries accent. For me it's the other way around, I grew up on A Bit Of Fry And Laurie and Blackadder. In addition to that, he was always the silly one to Stephen Frys or Rowan Atkinsons straight man.

  • @raizumichin

Lol I know I love how most americans think that Hugh Laurie is american :D

  • @raizumichin

Ditto. I didn't even recognize him the first time I watched House! Hadn't seen ABOFAL or his other older shows in years, then my friend just told me to check out House, which I hadn't been all that interested in. Took me almost five minutes to go, "Waaaaait a minute! Is that ... OMG It's Hugh Laurie!! ... Whaaaat?!" Awesome show but if you're used to the "old" Hugh it's odd seeing him play the cynical straight man when he was best known for playing light-headed, foppish characters.

  • @EnigmaDrath Interestingly enough though, is that the dynamic is virtually the same. House is the weird one and everyone else is reacting. Robert Sean Leonard and Lisa Edelstein are still essentially the straight men to his antics.

  • @raizumichin

It's what you see first that sticks with you - usually.

I'm German, but I've first seen him in House. (Although, technically, I had seen a few glimpses of Blackadder before - knocked me out when I learned it was the same guy!)

    Same reaction ;)

  • english accents are learned, the way hugh laurie speaks on house is a more accurate representation of how english is intended to be spoken. do some research

  • @34t34tgf English accents are the way English is intended to be spoken

  • @34t34tgf How can English accents be learned if you grew up in England? I'm confused.

  • @34t34tgf "Intended"?? By who? What the living arse are you talking about?

  • What is this mythical British accent? I've been looking all over the British Isles, and I haven't found it yet.

  • @uncled39 Cambridge accent, its fairly common

  • @hetraceashainkek I don't understand your answer. What I was trying to say is that there is no such thing as a British or English accent, there are many different accents, even two towns minutes apart from each other may contain people with vastly different regional accents. Another example could be that one town or city could have English or British people with many different accents, A South London accent is Different from an East London accent, a posh one is different from a working class one

  • @hetraceashainkek Experts in this subject could go into it much further. As I said before there is no standard English accent, it can't be pinned down, and if it could, it certainly wouldn't be from Cambridge.

  • @uncled39 Well one of my mates at Uni is doing primary education, according to his lectururers the best accent is sort of a south midlands one as a result of prenunciation of the words.

  • @hetraceashainkek Are there any videos on YouTube that are examples of this accent?

  • @MrSpeedMachine14 There are bound to be some clips of blackadder or some videos of stephen fry, they have the same accent.

  • "Which is that one has to fight hard not to copy, not just pick up other people's rhythms and other people's inflections and..."

    "Aah.."

That really made me laugh. He's like "God dammit" X)

  • Holy fuck! House has a British accent!? Theres no way I would have ever thought that seeing him talk on the tv series.

  • Really annoys me when people say "British Accent" but ya know I'll get over it one day.

  • oops 1:20-1:24

  • 1:18-1:24 priceless lol

  • It is "discuss." "The Cast of House Discusses Acting Styles" implies multiple casts. Why is it that American English ALWAYS defaults to the plural? "House discusses" would be correct as it is the singular possessive noun. Fucking yanks bastardising the language. Learn to write.

And yes. Hugh Laurie is BRITISH. Get your own actors without stealing ours.

  • And moreover: "discusses" is present tense. The clip is in the past tense so "discuss" is correct - both grammatically and contextually. And let us not even begin to discourse clause.

  • @CarbanousaShallot pretentious twat. Nobody cares.

  • @CarbanousaShallot i'm sure the questioner was expecting many answers and not just from Hugh....

  • @CarbanousaShallot

You can have Russel Brand back if that makes you feel better. We don't want him. He's skanky and unfunny.

  • @birdandthe FUCK OFF THEN

  • @coolestdudearoundeng double fuck off

  • @birdandthe ur a cunt

  • he was in June 11,1959

  • If you watch the outtakes on the DVDs, Hugh NEVER comes out of House's American accent, even when he cracks up- amazing!

  • i was mindfked when hugh spoke :O

  • Ever notice how Hugh has sort of an american versoin of Eric Clapton thing going on with the House role. He pulls it off too. Great actor. For more than just House.

  • 1:21 was hilarious... he actually does that on the show when he resents or disagrees with something lol thats prolly why hugh was like wtf? but it turned out otherwise..

  • I want to be a cast member of house i think it would be fun... Please check out my videos the more views I get the better chance I have to get noticed.....

  • It would've been awesome if he played in Sherlock Holmes

  • @XHyperExplosion omg, i know! he would make a perfect Sherlock!

  • What a fuckin stupid question, all of the questions are fuckin stupid :D

  • WHY do American film Directors/Producers love to hire foreign talent and turn it into their own!? Sad if you ask me!

  • @sim0b just as good but waaaay cheaper is why they use foreign actors. also may be better at that role

  • @sim0b It's sad that American shows will try to find the best talent - even if it's from a different place? What?

  • what's that line?

  • dude i was just watching the show friends and in the season finally of season 4, the one where ross marries emily, Hugh Laurie plays a small part of a man on the plane talking sarcasticly to rachel, the same exact way that Dr. house does. but he looks extremly young and its wierd. but awesome lol

  • i love jesse<333

  • seeing hugh laurie not bein a dilweed like on house is kinda weird. lol

  • Hugh Laurie made the worst British accent performance :)

  • @gathersteel dude you gotta watch him in black adder!

  • @gathersteel You're kidding, right? ...Right? Hugh Laurie IS British. And you really should watch all of Black Adder; it's a great show. Hugh Laurie is one of my very favourite actors btw.

  • @MrPennysPop Of course I ve been kidding. Just a little sarcasm.

  • @gathersteel Of course. I should have known...

  • Stewie Griffin.

  • lol he speaks exactly like chase

  • @vladuthz1994

What the fuck are you talking about?

  • @katiella1992 doctor chase you idiot, from house md

  • Whenever I hear Hugh Laurie speak with a British accent, I feel like that's when he's faking an accent.

  • @Shahrouz528 Yeah thats what I meant indeed.

  • @Shahrouz528 In England we feel the opposite. He's been famous here since the early 1980's, mostly in comic roles playing the stereotypical posh Englishman.

  • @Shahrouz528 Watch him in Blackadder and you'll never forget that he's british originally again lol

  • @Shahrouz528 I loved the episode where Hugh Laurie (British), acting as an American had to pretend to imitate a British accent - AND he pulled it off! Amazing.

  • @TheAnn2shoes which one was that?

  • @hozsp I don't know the name of it but you can get it on here if you type in something like. 'House/Hugh Laurie speaking in an English accent'

  • @TheAnn2shoes in which episode did he do this?

  • @Shahrouz528 I know right because your so used to no accent.

  • aye!

  • @h0wud0in2, you have serious issues.

  • :O I think it's so true what Hugh said because I just realized that at 1:05 Omar Epps, Robert S. Leonard and Jennifer Morrison are doing the same pose. oO HAHAHAHAHHAHA

  • @somniumsogni cut that out

  • i just had a vision... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

  • I can't get over how well Hugh Laurie can alter his accent. You can't even tell he's British, when he's on the show.

  • Hugh is incredibly charming!!!

  • Aye!!! :)))

  • lisa is like begging for dick... I mean look at her! the way she is sitting

  • how weird hearing him talk with a accent! so sexy as hell tho

  • Hugh Laurie is so sexy, his accent and all.

  • @2112Dancer ;)) he's yummy!

  • so strange seeing House not being a dick after watching so many episodes of the show...

  • The show is going down, by the way.I rather watch hugh on bbc!!!

    My mind. Is blown.
