  • Im sorry but pilgrim state hospital is located in brentwood not central islip ,central islip hospital was in central islip if you would like to find out more about it goto "long island oddities.com" they have all the abandon or closed down hospitals that are on long island (pilgrim state, edgewood, kingspark, central islip, ect). But thank you for watching my slideshow.

  • @fipleswitch This brings back memories. My mom was a patient at Pilgrim State from 1972 to late 1975. They gave my mom treatments without my dads permission. I remember getting in the car with my 7 siblings very Sunday to visit my mom. We would get off at Exit 56, on the LIE. My mom was released from Pilgrim State about Dec. 1975 and transferred to Bronx Psychiatric Center where she eventually committed suicide on May 28, 1976 at the age of 50 . Memories you never forget.

  • @Murrayfamilytree , Im so sorry to hear that. It was very different back then, sad times !!!

  • no, Not Brentwood Long Island. Central islip, Long Island. I live about a five minute drive away and The empty remaining buiildings are still mega creppy.

  • @MakeupTeen94 Stfu you illiterate molestation victim.

  • where is this place

  • @darkdeadsage LongIsland , NewYork

  • @fipleswitch brentwood, long island, new york, great place. been in there multiple times. if you go in just wear a face mask or something over your mouth, you dont wanna breath in asbestos.

  • It really sucks when they close down facilties like this and truck them off to prison as the only alternative. Look what it's done to our penal system, and our country

  • @just4funzees They don't send them to prison. They try to help them transition into a human centered community where they should be. It's not the 1800's anymore.

  • word i was there yesterday night it shits pretty cool

  • Been back lately,Fiple?

  • We busted down a door there!

  • Fiple, You come in any sort of human contact at all? Homeless, police or otherwise?

  • police ,they will tell you to stay away from the active buildings and if you see any body walking on the grounds by the active buildings go the other way and do not take any pictures of them or they will ask you to leave.

  • @fipleswitch yea we went to idk wat building, but we took a picture, and clear as day, was two guards standing on either side of the door, and above them, were two others ready to fight with swords and stuff. my dad was in the middle of it all.. but blinded of wat was around him.
