The two killer scenes from Imitation of Life. Beautifully stylized by Douglas Sirk. And acted with sincerity and truth -- quite an accomplishment when the plotline is this melodramatic. Yet the two actresses work against it, reigning themselves in, not hamming it up. Kohner at the end goes over the top but I think most of us go with her.

This film just makes me cry! One of the loveliest films ive ever seen! I loved my mum, she just never loved me, My mum died and my 6 half sisters never told me? they also threw the wreath of her grave. I am abs. devasted. I needed to cry this morning. ty so much! Thank you Angie for sharing me this beautiful scene. If i'm mistaken (hope i'm not, YaY!) Lana was once married or in a long relationship with a Filipino guy. I used to hear her name a lot when i was little. :)

The only thing I can remember about Lana is that at one time she was dating an Italian gangster,

and her teen-aged daughter shot and killed him.

Oh, I felt so bad for Lana and her daughter. Some of the public said that they thought Lana shot and killed him and the daughter was taking the blame. I remember her daughter's name was Cheryl. I'm going to look up Lana on wiki. Hugs and kisses to you. :-))

Hi Angie, i came on just to tell you Teddy came home

a little after 1:00pm today. He is only 1% contagious.

He said Teddy could move about the house now. He

played on the kitchen table. lol I am to call next Wed.

and he will tell me if he has to come in or not. He is

so happy to be home. :) I will not be on YT much

because i have lots to do and i am just not in the mood.

I want you to not worry. Okay? I will talk to you later. :)

Oh, I cry and cry when I watch this film. Have you seen it before? The mother and daughter in these scenes are terrific actresses.

@valentinolover70 No i never seen this movie. It looks like a really good one too. I woke up around 10:00pm. I went to sleep in the afternoon sometime and now i am awake. lol I got a call from the vets around 1:45pm saying they will keep Teddy over night because they got a late start on him and he would not be dry. They said they would not charge me for it. I will call at 9:00am to see when he can come home. Have a nice day Angie. I am still sleepy. Hugs:)
