  • Derrick Griffin is a heck of a driver. Give him a covered wagon and he could make it do 100 mph.

  • I know this is old... but anyone with any sort of knowledge would have realized the 9 got loose coming out of 2. Griffin was hot on his heels and coming hard to try to win. 9 spun the wheels, and got caught. simple as that. there was no bump and run......Good Job Griffin!

  • @cfd297 I know that, I think you may have commented on the wrong comment. though. lol

  • @hoosierredneck1 sorry... I was directing that to the ones that thought it was a bump and run.. or "knocking the guy out of the way.".... :)

  • @cfd297 Yeah I know. He got nervous and the 9 screwed up. Derrick took advantage of a mistake like you are supposed to!

  • @hoosierredneck1 People alway see things the way they want. 9 did get loose and lost momentum fast. Not sure if the 9 is even to blame for a mistake. That many laps on them tires can get you into those incidents. My only question is were these the only two cars on the track? There was no sign of any other cars. Normally they would be in lapped traffic at Angola.

  • @ben351w We don't need your language on our site.

  • Maby everyone should watch the whole race when Jeff Parr put Derrick Griffin in the grass going into one. As Derrick said in the interview at the end of the race. You should race people the same way they race you. Thats exactly what Griffin did. Last lap is the only one that counts, and that last lap earned Griffin 10,110 dollars.

  • @Pennington55 yes exactly...and they also forget about the 30 or 40 times parr cut off the 5 car of dakota carlson who rode right on parr's bumper most of the race and was clearly faster until he broke late...parr cut him off corner after corner and most drivers would have put parr in the wall for how he drove that night

  • @bmillsistheman The Parr family as a whole has always been known as being complete asses.

  • he only got loose cause his dumbass hit him

  • I truly agree. Griffin would have passed him anyway. You can see the 9 car got loose not only there but a lap or two before, and also at the finish line. I don't think the 16 car had a lot of choices in what to do. you don't sacrifice yourself to save the other guy do you?

  • Wow.

  • Yeah, right. Dirt racing is squeaky-clean... And bump-and-run happens all the time on the pavement.

By the way, I wasn't there and have never even heard of Derrick Griffin before this, so I'm not biased. I am biased toward pavement racing (though I don't hate dirt racing either).

  • The nine car was really loose and got way sideways coming off of turn two. The sixteen car just ran into him because he had to back out to avoid spinning. this wasn't a bump-and-run. Griffin would have probably passed him anyway as he was slower due to being sideways. If anything, hitting Parr slowed him up a little. He almost got him a couple of laps earlier for the same reason, but he backed out. If he didn't mind knocking him out of the way, he would have done it then.

  • A perfect display of why I like dirt track racing better. A great field of cars and what does it come down to? Knock the guy out of the way and collect the dough.

  • @fscpictorialvideo I kinda agree. I read others saying he would have passed him anyways, but when? Not like he had 20 laps after the bump to get him... it was the last lap. Just goes to show that it's not good you are to pass them, just how hard you hit them to move them, haha.
