We must link animal rights with communism to succeed. I admire Adam's but she is too much of a cultural new age type feminist. Too connected with the transphobic Mary Daly.
I disagree with one of the other posters' comments. I think it's diluted "go lacto-ovo veggie" messages that cause more harm in the end, because lots of people are smart enough to see through them (Why is meat unethical but not dairy? Just like, why should fur be wrong but not leather?). There's nothing extreme about going vegan and trying to live a life that doesn't rely on oppression; what should be seen as extreme is condoning that oppression because you like the taste of dead bodies, etc.
This is encouraging. :) I think we're seeing more and more people willing to tell it like it is: that these oppressions are linked, and that there really is no excuse for eating meat/dairy/eggs. People are healthier without it; the only defense people can give is that they like the taste, and that's just not good enough to justify oppression/exploitation.
I'm going to have to go look for this book at my library, very excited about reading this. :)
Carol is a true visionary. Excellent video and evolution of this ground breaking and well documented book. Wish more people would truly understand it. thank you!! Nice to see Jamie and to hear consolidated as well. <3
Yeah, another beat the meat eaters with our own self righteousness. Don't you know that by taking that stance you'll turn people off. I'll agree that we don't need as much meat as our ancestors did. However, it is a part of our diet,to which, has benefits if eat moderately. And sorry to say it, but being vegan is no more environmently safe then being on the opposite end of the spectrum.
@thinker900 i see your point here, about how some veggie's behaviors actually turn off meat eaters but i was a meat eater once and it took me some time before i really realized what i was doing, it hardly had anything to do with animal rights. i was consuming corpses and that is what woke me up. i was putting dead flesh inside o my body which is living flesh.
Thank you, Carol. Thank you for helping me and so many others connect the dots. The impact you've had on the world is absolutely immeasurable. Best. Book. Ever.
Standard left wing bullshit connecting two bullshit ideas in a way that's completely overthinking it.
This is the reason why people like you are a joke in the society, even among other vegans and feminists.

communism is just a symptom of patriarchy and liberalism is it's tool to the ultimate supression of female and vegan rights.
down with patriarchy, fight communism and liberalism.

I think gender is socially conditioned learned behavior. That doesn't make me transphobic, it makes me gender phobic.
