I am making this for dinner right now! Looks so delicious! (Btw, I've never heard anyone other than family members use the word 'wonky'. Love that you used that word :)
@thelittlelifesaverTM On any given day you'll hear me say "wonky" "thingamajig" "watchamacallit" "grody" "skeevy" and an array of other words nobody uses anymore :)
That's a great idea for a video! Heard about synchronicity? I was wondering: if I get raw and have to invite sb for dinner, what should I cook (or uncook)? Then you uploaded this video!
@genghisgirl My bf talks about Carl Jung. I've never read about him but it seems he is more than interesting.
Sb=Somebody. It was just a question to myself actually, a thought. If I have visitors for dinner but want to introduce them to raw, would I find something (=sth -lol) raw but tasty to cook so I won't have to change my habit and they leave satisfied? Then I saw your video which was cool. Please consider to make more videos like this one!
Mashed cauliflower-yum!! I think even my kids would like that. I've hidden it in regular "warm" mashed potatoes before but haven't given it to them like that-it will be an experiment. And I love that you treat the worms so kindly like they can hear you..haha!!
@veggiekidsblogspot My husband was my taste-tester post-video and he loved it! It'll totally pass the test for "regular" eaters and your veggie kids! xo PS - did you get my response on your blog comment... just checking :)
Oooo I can't wait to make that for a raw meal for Thanksgiving. I've actually had mashed cauliflower in the cooked form and it was delicious. Oh and the worms are pretty cute too. Yea I said cute in reference to worms. :)
so you didnt really say what it tasted like, besides it didnt really taste like mashed taters. = ) so the cauliflower must overide all the other ingredients i would think. maybe?
@amaddox85 It actually tasted a lot like garlic mashed potatoes. I think I just knew that it wasn't. My husband loved it and totally thought it could pass... especially if it was just warmed (not cooked) a bit in the oven.
@genghisgirl ill have to try that out. im just starting a mostly raw diet to ease myself in to eating completely raw. baby weight is not fun or easy to lose! thanks for the recipe!!! = )
great recipie .. simple .. i think if you would add some rice vinegar or Appall cider vidager with some extra olive oile (WATER),. and cumin., with a pinch of cyan and lime squeeze it wold make a decent salad dressing 2.. nice jobe with your video..stay posted and il stay sexy haha
@lindabebe835 It's just a plain on Cuisinart food processor/blender combo (I think it about $150) that I picked up when I was pregnant (I had big ideas about making all my own organic baby food... ask me if I actually have the time now - ha!)
@MegaRicangirl Worm castings (poo) is amazing fertilizer for my organic garden. I feed them kitchen scraps and old junk mail, and they make my garden grow! Thanks for your question :) xo
What do you do with your chickens in the Winter? Are they okay in the coop? Does the coop need to be heated? I live in Southern Ontario and want to build a chicken coop but am worried about the cold winters.
@heartisallwehav I actually had a big mess-up moment with my chickens when I made an attempt at heating their coop in the winter. They're farm animals and do just fine in the cold. However, if you're in a particularly cold climate, look up breeds that are "cold hardy". I get all my great chicken info at backyardchickens[dot]com
@Fogelmiser I found a couple raw "pumpkin pie" recipes, but they looked a little suspicious... (I don't believe they could taste good - haha) I'm a pumpkin pie purist :)
@genghisgirl Yes I think vegan pumpkin pie is as willing as I'm going to get. I just can't do the dairy and eggs anymore. Allergies. Still looking for the right recipe though.
@marykateashley501 It doesn't smell icky at all! It's quite delicious and I eat it raw all the time (especially with some yummy dip). Try it, trust me - it's good.
this looks so yummi. i love red raw potatoes blended with an avacado and kale with any sauce..yumm

Whatdidyoudotome 1 month ago in playlist BexLifeTV
@Whatdidyoudotome you need one really for the texture, as cauliflower is pretty tough.

I was just looking for raw pumpkin pie recipes this weekend. I can't decide which to try.
Cauliflower makes a good substitute for rice too. Sometimes I use it in sushi.

why are you growing worms?
henryblazer20 3 months ago
@henryblazer20 For compost purposes, i suppose. Worms help balance the nitrogen content in soil

@henryblazer20 Their castings (read: worm poo) makes amazing fertilizer!
