I have a guy in my group who plays a super powerful rich guy. We decided to play the modern times version of D&D called D20 Modern.... he really wanted to buy a nuke...
My friend decided to go on a killing rampage in the local town, so I sent the local army at him... he killed the first 10 with 10 crits in a row, greater cleave taking out the first 4.... The other 20 were all rolls between 17 and 20... Also not that his strength gave him like +2 so all those "17" were like "19"... so he gained a couple levels after his rampage... he literally killed 50-75 people in the end, after that, the guards evacuated the town and pretty much abandoned it.

Uh, yeah...? Most players are 20-30, others are in their 40's. No player has died yet. Obviously, characters come and go.
