  • Nice can I buy it?

  • @iExplodeHD - Already sold it actually. A guy bought it to use with his show car.

  • @essexisbest ok thanks

  • NICE! Went to my first bicycle show which got me looking through you tube for custom built bicycles and how I ran into your post. Saw a lot of choppers and stretch cruisers. Check out " Sacramento cyclefest bicycle show 2011" on you tube. Thanks for sharing looking foward to getting into the scene.

  • Nice Bike !!! Like that Shifter, I was reading your post about not being familiar with a "Stretch Cruiser" if I can post it, I'll shoot you over a video of mine.

  • Have you ever did a stretch cruiser?

Also how did you do the shifter, could it be used as a speed shifter for a 3 speed?

    I'm new to this :-)

  • @ALMASINFE - I am not sure what a stretch cruiser would be but I like the sound of it! If you have any links to what you are talking about please send them to me. The "shifter" on this bike as actually for the rear brake. If I were to make it into an actual shifter I would probably use something lighter. This old car floor shifter is pretty heavy. I was able to thin out the end of the shifter by grinding it, drilled a hole in it and attached the original brake cable. Thanks for the comments!

  • @essexisbest ------ Hey guys i like the chopper , umm iv built a streched schwinn crusier chopper it has a 8 foot wheel base rides good and vary fun to ride ive got a video of it so if you get the chance check it out thanks

  • Very Awesome bike dude. I Just recently started searching around to learn to make these. My 8 year old Step son loves motorcyles and i want to build him a chopper bike. Seeing your bikes makes me want to do this even more.

I would love to see a video on how you do some of this stuff. Like on My Bad how you got the cranks set up on big back tire.

Again man awesome work. I hope you got some nice trophies from the car show.

Hope to see more of your work soon.

  • @phoenixvai - Thanks for your comments...much appreciated!! I am probably going to do a 'how to' video shortly because I have had a couple requests. What aspect of the cranks did you need to know about? Extending the bottom bracket or something else? And yes, got some hardware at the car show and the bikes went over great! Thanks again!

  • @essexisbest i was half asleep last night. so i explained wrong. "my bad"

The sprocket on back tire is what i am wondering how you set it up. I wasn't sure if you did it by welding the back wheel assembly of a bicycle in the rim of the car rim? Or if you used a actual motorcycle sprocket for this.

I cant wait to see your how to videos on this. thank you for your reply ill keep an eye out for more vids. Good luck cant wait to see what you come up with next.

  • @phoenixvai - The back wheel was a whole different monster. I found a fabrication guy who builds mini-motorcycles and he agreed to try and build me a freewheeling rear axle that would fit a mini-chopper wheel and tire because, as you probably know, the bicycle rearend has to freewheel. As far as I know, my setup was the only one he ever built (he cut the gear for me too). The front sprocket and chain are heavy duty BMX parts (and the chain is actually 2 1/2 chains linked together)!

  • im happy to see other people my age are into bicycles as much as i am. nice work man.

  • @ggipdoty - Thanks and right back at ya! I agree...not too many of us left. Do you build? Collector?

    Cheers

  • Type in "electric bike fukk a hub motor"and yes fukk not fuck, and fast forward to my "chopper" that I built in a few weeks, from trash and beer buzzed. No computer or tape measure for that matter, everything that I make is by line of site witch allows me to build shit quick and my imagination at the time is clearly seen.Keep up the good work, they look nice.

  • @kszz71 - cool setup. I like the 'line of site' part as that is the way I do alot of my stuff too. Good job! And thanks for the comments.

  • Too many parts from the Schwinn Stingray to be called 'custom', in my opinion..

  • @iVolkswagen - Any of the auto/motorcycle shows that I have had cars or bikes in, anything that is outside of 'bone-stock' is considered 'custom'. Everyone has different viewpoints I guess though. Thanks for your comments!

  • Very cool bikes you made!

    Nice explanation aswell...

Big up from the KTC, the Netherlands

  • Your video is great! I had the pleasure of being invited by a group of local bike enthusiasts to ride with their group in our city's parade last summer. I brought two of my choppers and had a blast! You guys look like you're having fun in your video and I can see why....just like I did with this great group of people here. Keep up the good work and keep our hobby alive!!

    Cheers

    Don

  • WOW! that brake is really cool too. me and my dad like to build bikes to just for the heck of it, and we upholster our own seats nicely and wanted not to have any wires hanging off the bars cause it looks bad. we didnt make any cool brakes liek u so we just got a coaster brake

  • That's very cool that you are building your own. The fancy ideas for stuff like the brakes will come to you....just keep coming up with ideas for building different bikes and you'll get ideas for the little stuff too! Good luck and thanks for the comments!!

  • ok thanks r u looking to sell it

  • Tough call but if I got the $600.00 I probably would.

  • how much would u sell it for

  • I'd probably ask about $600.00 for it to cover what I have into it.

  • Thanks! It was a hit at the car show and it is a hoot to ride!

  • very nice
