It is a very expensive way to do surveillance (the HDX 9000 base model is about $30k list price after you add a EagleEye HD camera) then you will need a similar HD model to connect to it. The surveillance system will not need a display monitor and can set to auto respond quietly. The camera can pan, tilt and zoom from the other location, and the mic can be used to hear what is going on.
Inexpensive surveillance products do similar functions but not designed to capture HD quality images.
@fordyrox - it would be a waste as you would need another device to RECORD video... you can get a nice 1080p IP camera for about $1200 -- and a decent ethernet attached computer to record the feed...
@LiNERROR Ok thanks, my school has these in classrooms and that and they follow you around the room. I was asking because It kinda creeps everyone out so I did my reaserch on them to find the makea and model so I could find what they where designed for. Thanks for the feedback :)
