I don't know why people say drugs damaged her voice? Plain and simple, Whitney just underwent vocal surgery in 2007 to remove her nodules. A very risky surgery, because Julie Andrews had hers removed years ago and lost her voice completely. I'm suprised Whitney proceeded with it! She is still obviously recooperating vocally. However, she can still sing; she just needs to rest more and take care of her voice. She now has to reinvent or transform earlier hits to compliment her current voice.

That head voice is clearly still there, and she can definetly build everything up again.
