massive respect to Neurosis theyve carried on where Gira and Swans left off. U want sick tunes try Swans Cop album, this band are the only thing even slightly close when it comes to soul bearing tunes that DEMOLISH you as you listen.
I saw them in March of '99 here in Houston. They were on their way to play the SxSW conference in Austin. T.O.G. wasn't even out yet, and all they played was that album. The best show I've ever seen! Runner-up would probably be SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM. F**K'N BEYOND!
@TRuble510 I saw them on the Saturday and they didn't, but I heared that they played a bit of it on the Sunday show as part of a multi-song melody. They were AMAZING though. Yob opened for them, and were really good, put the place turned their volume levels down halfway through the set.
eventually riffs are gonna sound similar. its an awesome riff, and i don't mind hearing multiple versions. Electric Wizard recycles some of their riffs, but they're awesome riffs and I love hearing different versions of them. I don't think its a case of plagiarism, just common influences. kick ass tune regardless.
neurosis are so fucking crushing ohg my god. also, i am interested to hear this EHG song (i'm not TOO terribly well-versed on their shit) to hear the similarities between that song and this.

Neurosis are dicks. They gave me a religious experience, but I'm an atheist. Now what the fuck?

The Neurosis version is far superiour in my opinion. A much more polished effort.

its not similar, its exactly the same. i know they're fans of each other. they musta wrote the song not realizing. it happens

aaronsts 2 years ago 3
Yes, that's weird, sounds exactly the same during that interlude starting at 1:05
