Voxels are awesome!, and can achieve a lot of things effortlessly that polygonal geometry cannot. SVO's are definitely the path for future gaming. I'd prefer to see them in the next decade, but perhaps in the next 20 years we'll see great use put to them, and fully realized game levels and characters. Just imagine fully-desctructible Quake-levels, and fully-enfleshed characters! =-D
