Thank you for the tips, I know their up here, my folks live in an area called Litchfield county, in the back woods by a state park. I did some calls on new years eve up there very late, clear and calm night, and I did it off their back deck that overlooks a wide valley. It echoed nicely, about 5 min later I had a single response: a wood knock that tapped 3 times, then that was it.
@cxd4 great video love the recordings. have you ever notice'ed how when you put out a recorder they will come right in and hang aroud for hours but you put a trailcam out and and they will steer clear of that thing man they are smart. great job on the video take care out there.
@markz800 Thanks markz800. Yeah I noticed that this year. Put out a game cam close to the recorder but not right on it, in the natural walking path of the area. Got deer, elk, moose, and bear and thats it. But lots of sounds close to the mics.
Cxd4, incredible sounds from all ur vids. I live in the NE, along the AT, border of Mass and an hour from NY, any tips for night recording and or general knowledge?
@jmax1138 Thanks jmax. I saw that most the sightings out there are along the AT. If you could find a place with a sighting, then find the nearest valley with water and meadows you could have interesting results. I think most of the sasquatches stay in a general area. Use a Tascam dr-03 (under $100) or similar. You can program the daily record on/off time. Saves alot on memory and battery life. I set mine to record from 10pm to 5 am.
@jmax1138 Another tip I forgot thats not in the instructions...... After setting up the recorder turn it off and set it on HOLD. It will stay off until the time you set for it to come on. Then it will turn off at the stop time and repeat every night.
Pretty good clip. I really liked your night vision stuff. What kind of equipment were you using. I live in Kansas. There isn't too much Bigfoot hunting here. But who know's, I might start traveling and do some camping.
@MerlJohnston1 Thanks. I was using the Pulsar Recon 550R. I try to get out now once a year for a bigfoot hunt. If you go to an active area they will find you.
the only glitch with the area squared in by you is that if a Squatch is dark brownish black in color (or auburn) wouldn't it show up as white in night vision? and not black. Great work.
@rntonp Maybe using a thermal cam it would, the sasquatch being warmer than the stump. This cam is normal light sensitive, in black and white. Not heat sensitve.
@ash31male Sorry about that. I put a box around the area that looks like theres some eye shine. Thats the first time Ive heard that voice out there. I hope it keeps hollering.
Wow, thanks for the experience. What are you going to do once the animal is "discovered?" Will you keep searching for photos etc. Linda Newton-Perry of the online bigfoot magazine, Bigfoot Ballyhoo
Hey great stuff ! Were all sounds recorded at night when you were not active or was it durring the day when you were active around camp ? If its at night then there are some spooky sounds in there ! Also, interesting possible peeker footage. Keep up the great work in this area & keep us posted ! Thanks !
@thelaughingyeti Thanks Yeti. All those sounds were at night after 10pm both camp and ridge. At camp I began recording after going to bed and listen with ear buds. There were more smaller sounds like maybe stones being thrown at the mic, alot of that, but just put up the main sounds. I learned from this trip that the camp site gets most of the action. Cant wait to hear what the ridge recorder gets in a couple of weeks.

@jmax1138 If you make your own cone mics and set up on a ridge you can cover a huge area and pic up sounds far away. My settings on the dr-03 are:
Mp3-128kbps-stereo
16gb mem card - will record for about 30 nights (7hrs a night)
Record Equalizer- off
Low Cut - 80 hz
Record Level-24
Lawn mower battery-275 cra, walmart (lasts about 3 weeks alone)
Power Line Car Adapter w/usb socket- set for 3v, walmart

Wow! Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I loved the first installment. Can't wait for the rest!
I saw eye shine in the small gap in the pine to the left of the stump or snag at 6:00.
