  • This game had the best sound effects out of every other double dragon game currently in existence.

  • Sega genesis music surpasses the arcades version! Sega genesis has more instruments playing at once. It sounds richer.

  • @Mr523cbg

They're fighting in the Marijuana Plantation, it's like Double Dragon meets The Trailer Park Boys! ;-D

  • One thing I hate is the throwing of the shovels. They are useful weapons.

  • Are you using some kind of speedhacks? The game always slows down when there are like 2 or more enemies for me on every emu I've tried.

  • The sound effects were so good in this game, especially when a body hits the floor. Reminds me of the old kung fu movies. Just really awesome.

  • he threw a grenade at dudes face n he just got back up for more.

  • @Jzueztylez Because he was on Angel Dust.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! One Hit 7:21 Owned 7:22 LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • @Suchahama hahahahaha yes =D like don't desturb :P

  • Why the heck was Chin's theme here never used in the NES game? It's one of my favorite songs in the whole series!

  • SO Yeah...Double Dragon 2 Arcade was just a Reskinned Double Dragon 1

  • @michiyoyoshiku Yes. But still far better then the NES junk

  • @ojideagu

I HOPE you mean the first NES Double Dragon. Becuase if you mean the NES Double Dragon II I'm going to have to revoke your Gamerdom

  • @michiyoyoshiku I include both. NES Double dragon 2 does not compare to the arcade games. Ok

it wasn't JUNK but it wasn't the arcade either. I never liked the NES games. I grew up with the arcades.

  • @ojideagu

    Your Gamerdom has been revoked

  • @michiyoyoshiku The Nes games were platformers. The arcade was a beat-em up

  • @ojideagu

    RE-VOKED

  • Lol U Did All That Just 2 Elbow him Off Tha Cliff??

  • Starting at 6:18, you just go back and forth pointlessly. Why?

  • @Ghidora007

So we can go make a sandwhich, or go to the bathroom or something. XD

  • @TheCastellan Why not edit that part out?

  • @Ghidora007 edit? Wuss!

  • Lol! Love the way you took out that boss you know your way around this game alright!

  • 6:18-7:22 I thought you were trying to tire him out.

  • 7:21 owned

  • Napoli merda

  • Those Mexican brutuses @5:50 look fucking surly.

  • @briefcasemanx WHAT?!!! Those are FUCKING GODDAMN NIGGERS!

  • @wildmanchris200 whatever they are, they look SURLY AS FUCK. Bimmy and Jimmy's fighting arts must be legendary to take those guys out.

  • The music on this level is EPIC!

  • @Superapeaholic

That's "Escape to the Forest" for ya, my friend, find the arranged versions which are awesome!

  • This version of D.D. 2 kicks ass, and is better than the N.E.S. version. I actually have the arcade machine to this game, which I use as my Jamma cabinet, and I also have the Turbo Duo version of D.D. 2 which rules. I'll never forget when my dad, and I, played this game in Seaside Heights N.J., put 40 quarters into it, and still didn't beat it! Those were definitely the days, to say the least!

  • 2:48 homeboy got Pwned trying to immitate you jumping! LMAO

  • this game seems much harder on the n.e.s i dont know maybe its just me

  • 5:26 superb roundhouse kick

  • LOL @ 7.22

  • I remember as a kid in a arcade watching teenager's drop dollars upon dollars on this game. It was so much more difficult than the first arcade game. I remember one kid spent a dollar and got his ass rocked like he just got bitched slapped by Bruce Lee walking away pissed off. Hilarious.

  • The Stage 3 music is a definate contender for best video game music, probably ever. Although Super R-Types first level music was pretty good too...

  • It's pretty snazzy. Battletoads and Doubledragon for the SNES has some pretty sweet tunes too...

  • The names of the songs in this version of the game:

Mission 1: "A Quiet Pursuit" (boss music for this mission is "Breaking the Barrier")

Mission 2: "The Vengeful Demon Has Began to Move"

Mission 3: "Escape to the Forest"

Mission 4: "Enter to the Enemy's Base"

    Doppelganger Theme: "Wicked God"

    Ending Theme: "Sweet Memories"

  • I brought DD for xbox live and i would gladly buy this version. I love the 3 stage track.

  • the badguys go down real easy one this one

    lets take a poll

what was the best dubble dragon ?

  • Double Dragon 2 NES

  • For me personally, 'Double Dragon Advance' for the GameBoy Advance.

It's not perfect, but I like it the best out of the entire series so far.

  • @marloray Super Double Dragon was incredible (2nd), but my personal favorite DD game is this one, DD2 (1st).

  • Double dragon 1 und 2 sind sooooo cooooolll very nice

  • After all that prancing around the boss did, one well-placed elbow did his sorry butt in! LOL! (^_^)

  • that was funny!

  • That was EPIC!!

  • With all of the older games being revamped in HD, I wish they would do the Double Dragon games the same way. Good vid. Love this game.

  • yo he jugado varias veces este juego.

  • that boss fight was waste of time, go to cliff, elbow, done 5 seconds

  • ROFL.

  • Ha ha ha! That bossfight was LEGENDARY!

  • lollll!

  • dude im in tears from laughing!

  • Watat!

  • @NixorX

    Yeah man, sick moves there.

  • can anybody please put the link where to download this game,i really mis this game always remember me my childhood...please guyz i have searched all internet but never found any link....please

  • You kick ass dude ! I tip My hat in respect.

  • @ 4:25, the two guys are a cross between Demolition and the Natural Disasters (Typhoon & Earthquake).

  • lol, legendary finish!

  • _| ̄|○ Sir, you are a badass.

    Love, mexico city,

  • 6:30 that guy says o-shit is fucking annoying lol

  • This game needs to come on XBLA.

  • Nice how Jeff ducked the machine. IMPOSSIBLE. He should have been chopped meat.

  • That's not Jeff; that's the William of the Williams Brothers, not Willy the Boss of the Team. William was the Very First Opponent the Punk whom gut Punched Marian on Mission One on the First Double Dragon Arcade Game.

  • at 2:39 that is Jeff. Trust me I know Double Dragon. :)

  • Probably will because when they run out of new product they must find something to sell so they go vintage. Selling It would be a smart thing to do. The product was made like 15 years ago. Just port it. Sure you can just easily get it for free but plenty of people don't know this so they will pay to get it even though it has zero market value. If I were selling it I say it's a great idea to buy it. If you don't have a PC I guess you'll have to buy these games.

  • @PopcornCoolie These games actually do have market value, it's just not high enough for a company to waste advertising money on promoting a new release of an outdated product, among other expenses related to such a venture.

    ie.: Development.

The real value is in owning an arcade cabinet. DD2's value I'm not sure of, but it should be pretty high. It is vintage '80s after all.

  • @UndineStorm LMAO!

  • @UndineStorm So true. Then Billy would have had some Jeff Jerky.

  • @UndineStorm It's scary too, how that combine doesn't have anyone sitting in it. It must be possessed maybe?

  • Nice vid, but the shit around 6:30 gets old fast.

  • At 4:25, the men descending on the lift look like WWF classic tagteam Demolition.

  • Roll that beautiful lag footage

  • last guy was the lulz

  • double dragon ftw

  • I just wish the knives produced blood in this version (like the first game) instead of milk...

  • Good point. Maybe they should apply that to this game if they ever decide to re-release it to home consoles.

  • How Many times are you gonna buy the same game. Sega Genesis version is a few bucks at a used game store.

  • What are you talking about? I don't even own Double Dragon II. I only played it once or twice on the NES. Nowadays I just watch it on YouTube.

  • (You) includes anyone that would consider buying this game. There's no reason to pay a significant amount of money for this game.

  • Hey Popcorn What are the Chances this will come to the XBLA OR PS3 NETWORK???

  • @PopcornCoolie I agree, unless we're talking actual cabinets.

  • Annoying how much slow down there actually was in this game. I remember saying wtf at the arcade back in the day when I played this a lot.

  • I never realized before how ridiculously similar the second DD looked to the first one.

  • @MachiavelliBlack You should see the japanese version of SMB 2. They might as well have called it SMB 1.25.

The U.S. SMB 2 was a great game. Mario wouldn't be who he is today without it.

It's influence is found in every subsequent Mario game, but it doesn't get the respect it deserves, because it was a different game in Japan. (DDP)

  • ayat ayat ayat ayat *elbow* bye XD

  • hai hai xD 5/5

  • Ghost in the machine?

  • omg!!! that was the best ending boss death i ever saw. i threw up my food cuz i laughed so hard.

  • your a genius, who ever played that game. Its crazy how you figure out that scrima masters grow. You munch alot of quarters on him.I bet that guy alone was the reason why dd2 did not do that well in the arcade.

  • dude the ending boss' death was fucking hilarious. well played.

  • Yeah. I can just see that in a martial arts movie... the henchman flips around like a crazy man for awhile... hero easily dodges it all, then effortlessly elbows him off a cliff at the last minute.

  • Reminds me a bit of Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indie confronts the giant arab swordsmen.

  • or in the 89 version of batman.when the swordsman is doing all these kicks, fancy sword twirling and flips, then batman just kicks him once and knocks him out.XD

  • I definitely remember the 1989 Batman movie. It's a classic.

  • Was the music for the Enemy Base in Stage 3 (when Billy and Jimmy meet Chin Taimei) remixed for the Chopper Battle stage in the NES version?

  • I wouldn't doubt it, considering the Helicopter theme is placed where Chin's theme would be heard in the nsf file of the NES version (the music is actually organized in the order they're heard in the arcade version, followed by the new tracks for that version). If that's the case, then that means the only original stage musics in the NES version are the Undersea Base theme, the evil clone theme and the final boss theme.

  • Rechecked the NSF. It actually plays the Mission 5 theme, which was the evil clone's theme in the arcade version. Chin's theme is the only track in the arcade version that was not translated into the NES. Oh well.

  • @ClassicTVFan82 All of the boss encounters on NES used the 2nd boss encounter in the AC version.

  • they have got to re-release these classics back on to modern consoles. it would just be a shame if they were all forgotten.

  • I can't believe an arcade game slowed down so much... I just remembered this being one of the most badass games back in the day.

  • that's because this version is from an emulator, not the actual arcade game. this is the typical speed an emulated game will run at...

  • Nah, if you actually played the game back in the day it slowed down just as much too. Especially level 2 near the beginning.

  • The Stage 3 theme is the same tune as for Stage 5 in the Nintendo NES version.

  • I would love to buy an old arcade machine so I could play this again, I would have both 1 and 2, man would that be sweet.

  • There's my favorite bad guy in the Double Dragon arcades @ 2:28. He's much better with the green suit on.

  • this game brings back memories!! i remeber looking for quarters in side the couch just to go to 7-11 to play this game. hehehe

  • This was a really fun game in the arcades back in the late 80s. And I just can't seem to get enough of the action here. My only complaint however is just that the game play is riddled with slowdown. But I guess that's a minor flaw in old video games. Its still a good game though.

  • anyone have this for pc im looking orginal arcade version

  • I liked the way you played around with Chin in the 3rd level. That was pretty funny.

  • use to play this in mall arcades
