This brings back memories for me too. I lived in Lancaster for one year when I was 12, back in 1961. Being from Illinois where everything is flat, Mt. Pleasant seemed like a huge mountain to me and I climbed the face many times. I remember the trail you showed very well too. I also remember the rock formation on the face that looks like the profile of an Indian. Thank you very much for posting this.
This is a SUPER video for me! I was born and grew up in Lancaster. I spent many great times on Mt. Pleasant and in Rising park. I moved thoughout the world after college and always enjoy a return visit to Lancaster.
I remember Charles Goslin's early morning bird watches in the Park and camping in the upper Park during Scoutorees.
The late historian of Fairfield County, Charlie Goslin told me when I was a boy that during the last great ice age the south edge of the glacial ice ended across FF Co. That why the strange mounds and round rocks.
He said Mt Pleasant was pushed south by a massive glacier from Canada. It really is a giant rock.

I love this video. I grew up in Lancaster and have been up and down Mt. Pleasant more times than I can count.

Kudos to you for braving the cold! There were only two sledders because it was -4 degrees. Brrr...
