PS Channel 5 logo. I first saw this film one Xmas Eve night on CH5, must be about ten yrs ago now. I was 20 at the time, drudging through the civil service, ugh, shaped my life I tell you

My favourite of the trilogy. I think we all have felt like Mick Travis in this at some stage of our lives. A true everyman and a film that still has something to say. And yes, a life affirming ending, so wonderful to see the cast step out of their roles and be themselves almost.

I love this film - one of my all-time favourites. McDowell is a true one-off. 'if....' is tremendous too - I've yet to see Britannia Hospital though...
