Looking at the gig list for Joy Division (in Deborah Curtis, Touching from a Distance), the band played in Altrincham three times, twice at Bowden Vale Youth Club (March and May 1979--that's got to be a pretty cool youth club), and once in late 1978 (at the Check Inn).

songs 02-04 were used in the "Joy Division" 8mm film,

produced by none other than M. Whitehead, and premiered

on 13 September 1979. This is according to Mark Johnson's book

"An Ideal For Living", page 42.

Priceless rock history. This is superb. And I'm sure it'd look and sound even better with a bit of digital clean-up. (Hiss reduction, contrast adjustment, colour grading to restore natural tones...sorry, it's the restoration geek in me) This is true of all JD bootleg live footage. Where did you find this?!!
