  • Sounds like traveling on a snowy day. :)

  • RIP

  • just wondering if they used just intonation or equal tempered tuning for this / anyone know of any recordings using just intonation?

  • LOVE IT ..... why is it never heard on Classic FM Radio 3 ????

  • REWELACYJNY UTWÓR I WYKONANIE !!!!!

  • C'est merveilleux!

  • Do you know if Gorecki has any solo harpsichord piece?

  • it sounds like it has no emotion in it, I guess, because it is an emotion as a whole

  • I like European minimalism (Part, Gorecki), but I detest American minimalism (except for "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" by Adams), and I am saying this as an American myself.

  • Maybe you just don't like the sound of American minimalism. Every country producers great composers. Yes, with Americans you have to be more selective because wrote a bunch of crap to make a living lol. Neverthless, Adams as well as Reich and Torke wrote a few worthy pieces that earned them their name. This piece is probably as good as minimalism gets though.

  • If you liked this (i love it), look for the work written by Manuel de Falla (spanish composer) for harpsichord. People usually know his orchestral work (El Amor Brujo, El Sombrero de tres picos, etc) but he is another example of this mixture presented by Gorecki.

  • Interesting combination, a baroque instrument with a comtemporary orchestra!

  • Thank you very much!Beautiful!!!!

  • Funny!

    Beautiful.

  • What a strange feeling I have as I listen to this music with rapt attention. He is said never to have composed for an audience. He seems to have expected us to make efforts to

understand his music. Thanks for giving us a pleasant homework.

  • Thank you!! How interesting and unusual for a modern composer!
