nu gundam was really overpowered in the first game, it seems like he's less so in this one. then again, all the funnel users were overpowered in the first game...
dam, Nu Gundam was pretty much an advance copy of the famous Zeon funnel system with way better tech. you have to take into account that the only reason he survived all of that was because of his Newtype abilities. i still believe it was luck until when Amuro kills Lalah, i guess that was when he realized he had to fight no matter what. you notice his abilities increase a hell of alot faster after that. but thats just my opinion.
AWESOME!!! Is this for ps2, pc or ps1 or ps3? Anyway my favroute gundam was Kyrios from gundam 00 and Strike freedom from seed destiny. Does this use internet?
No. Not a "Wing Newb" I'm a veteran.Wing was my firstGundam but cartoon network showed more Gundam. my first UC series I finished was Stardust Memory. also got a chance to see Char's Counterattack. Because of the internet I was able to see Zeta and ZZ and the MS8th team. my Gundam fan orgins is if you're an American areprobably just like mine. one more thing. Although I do like the Federation pilots.I despise the Federation when help was needed they weren't there. quoting Delaz SEIG ZEON
dedicated to those who belive in the zero system. it feeds info to peoples brains and lets you see the results of you actions and possible enemy movements. However, what about newtypes? It really wasn't made to deal with that. I'm thinkin that the mobile suit equipped with the system would have to survive the battle in order to obtain data. In other words Amuro has an advantage over the zero system
this comment has nothing to do with the game, but i know there a couple of macross series (macross 7, mocross plus, macross zero) and i'm just wondering what is the name of the first series.
"it says now loading at the bottom and thats english.......... so there has got to be a way to change the dialog........."
No, there doesn't. It is rather common for Japanese games to have isolated bits of English like that. Don't jump to conclusions over something minor like that.
Well, according to all Gundam series, they use non-fossil fuel power supplies. Still, it wouldn't be practical until they became so effective that they became a warfare staple and would be sold for cheaper.
Well, that's definitely true, but i was saying that once that happens, they'd be produced much more and would then become more affordable to build and buy.
As for the "giant robots in real life" thing, it's not a question of whether we can, but whether we will. Neat as they may be, they'd be totally impractical for nearly any purposes we could employ them for, and the costs would be ridiculous. It's likely possible, but why bother?
Doubt that'll happen anytime soon. Too many different companies hold the licenses to the mechs and series presented in it, not to mention that some of the series in it haven't even made it stateside.
Doubt that. Weight issues are everywhere, and if you're going to 'vernier' everywhere, I doubt that a humanoid-shaped machine would do anything besides looking good.
actually, the arms and legs would serve as a way of using momentum to turn the mobile suit by creating a gyroscopic effect by swinging the arms and legs in mid flight. then they can rotate themselves to face a different direction and apply the thrusters. this would help to conserve fuel.
have u heard of the missing link between apes and humans? mobile suits would be the missing link between infantry and artillery, with legs allowing it to go anywhere and able to change its armaments on a moment's notice.
I guess I don't know much about the link between apes and humans other than it hasn't been discovered yet. Again, this may be possible in the future. Still, weapons like the beam sabre would probably be inpractical before the armor becomes strong enough.
Perhaps. I didn't say it couldn't be done, did I? I said I doubit it'd be in the near future. As far as I know, however, if you're planning to fly, it'd probably be more advantageous to design something w/ less drag since you're probably going to be firing projectiles. You'll probably need a pretty damn good computer to calculate weight/applied forces/momentum and be able to adjust the suit at a moment's notice.
well, they have one idea for coordinating the movement of the mobile suit in which instead of one computer controlling the entire body, several smaller computers built into each limb will be coordinated by a central computer in a sort of network. the smaller computers will coordinate the actions of each limb based on commands sent from the central computer. this way the processing of data is divided between the computers.
Of course - I'd think that'd be the only way to do it. However, I still don't think this will happen in our lifetime. We barely have any toys, let alone large machines capable of self-contained 2-leg walking (we haven't even gotten into the complex stuff yet). Even the network's speed is limited to its bus size (perhaps someone'll find something better than silicon in the near future). Still, you've got to research materials, build prototypes, obtain appropriate funding, etc.
are you guys talking about real mechs in the future?
well if you are then have you guys thought about area 51? cuz they have shit there that we wouldnt normally have for another 50 years and i wouldnt doubt they already have mechs
I wouldn't say 50 years ahead but I'm sure that there are a lot of amazing experimental aircraft. Just not at Area 51 though because from what I've heard (from the history channel) a lot of people believe that Area 51 is no longer active.
i think there a setting where you can change that make your mech stay on the same level when flying so you dont have adjust your flying while targeting unless you like that option.
Thanks for uploading this! The Nu Gundam is kind of a favorite.
Is there any kind of English listing online of the mecha available in ACE2? I'm hoping against hope that somehow Turn-A and the GX made it in there. I assume not, though. Guess I'll have to be happy with the EZ8 :-)

Hey does this work on American plastation 2s or do you need a Japanese one

Japan and America use the same NTSC video format, so there's no reason for it not to work.
Only issue is that the game is still in japanese, but that's obvious.

Most of the BGMs are instrumentals of the opening themes of the animes that the missions feature. (Nu isn't the default for this stage.)
