  • Bet you he like

"Time to get my crack on" llab too funny

  • Fucking heartbreaking, man

  • what is that place dukies goin to

  • Disgusts me to see Duke end up this way. People draw parallels between his character and Bubbles, the way they do between Michael and Omar. But I don't think Dukie is like Bubbles. I'm not sure he can recover from his addiction. He has no people, no nothing to better himself for. He's gonna die on those streets. I wish Cutty or Michael could have done more for him, but I guess they did all they knew how.

  • I criedd at thee endd of this

  • This show perfectly examined how no matter how hard we try, the problems in the inner city will continue unless we do something different. This happens in every city. Dukie became Bubbs; Michael became Omar, the Co-Op continued on with new leaders, Rick and Slim became Avon and Stringer. These guys hit it out of the park with this show. Too real and raw, that's why the show never won an award.

  • Damn shame...Michael had to leave Dukie for two reasons:one Dukie was a junkie and 2. Michael was in too deep, or the hood took him under. Sad how Micahel says he doesn't remember the piss balloon fight.

  • This kind of haunted me the 1st time I watched it, can't lie. Smart young dude falling through the cracks.

  • Gentle spirited, good hearted, smart Dukie ... Bubbles 10 years ago. Smart, driven, do-what-it-takes, clear-headed, independent Michael ... Omar 10 years ago. The generations go on and on and on.

  • Dis shit make you cry !

  • This is so sad he couldn't even look dukie in his face when hd was gettin out the car ugh.......

  • what happened to dukie?

  • @/naboba

    dukie became dope Fiend

he is the new bubbles now

because he is a soft coward who can't handle the Drug trade

  • that's sad...

he was a smart person in the series. they should have shown him being accepted into college.

  • @naboba

Yes but dukie could a just stayed strong thats what i would a done just stayed strong and waiting for the right time to become a worker at that shoe store and done that and its true the pay is not that good but its better then

becoming a dope fiend or getting shot with a bullet because i became a drug trafficker

poot was right what he said to dukie

a guess you gotta bang a little longer and then come back here when you of age

  • Dukie becomes the new bubs

  • ahhh

  • MAN,.......the Wire makes our UK dramas look proper 2nd rate school nativity plays

  • its so said it make u wanna crie cuz dis shit is real shit that happen to sertant black peaple never white black all da way

  • The street always wins

  • its a good thing they're best friends in real life and they hang out together all the time. and both got money!!!!

  • mike was all dukie had. dukie hit rock bottom when he left

  • dukie had a look of resignation on his face after mike told him he didnt remember.

like he knew what was in store for him.

    dam

then he turns around at the end, and mike has already left him......

there may be nothing on tv like this again for a while, if ever again.

  • What a waste! Two talented brothers end up a murderer and a junkie. The Wire told life in the streets like it really is...

  • michael isnt just a murderer hes the new omar

  • Yes, the new neighborhood robber, killer, drug dealer.

  • Dukie Is The New Bubbles

    Michal Is The New Omar

The Wire is basically a cycle of Drugs and reality in the Ghetto. Best Show Ever 10/10

  • Sydnor is the new McNulty

Fat Face and Slim the new co-op

    Carver is the new Daniels

Namand is really the only kid that manages to escape the cycle.

  • I don't agree about Namand he became the new D'Angelo.

  • how in the world is Namand the new D'Angelo?

  • Namand's story didn't end just like D'Angelo's but he wasn't cut for the game just like D'Angelo.

  • its true that they weren't cut out for the game, but for different reasons. Namand just wasn't hard enough. D'Angelo was more like Michael in that he had a conscience and was too smart for the game.

anyways, in the end Namand got out cuz he couldn't soldier up. D'Angelo did soldier up, he took his years like a man.

  • I have to say I have watched this scene over and over again and it kills me everytime (even though it is just fiction). But I still think that Dukie could have gone down another path and not that of the junkie, considering his past with his `peoples' and how clever he was. Maybe it was not the drugs he wanted, but more just the fact that the `junkman' was now his `peoples' and he always needed a friend or father figure..sad!

  • he does remember he just pretended he didnt. and the season finally especially this scene is really sad but stuff like this happens everyday.

  • this scene and the one that preceded it when they drop bug off ripped ur heart outta ur chest

  • @cs00024

They did that by ending The Wire, not by messing up Dukies life.

  • That sucks, mike was str8 up

  • OMG OMG this scene was a heartbreaker for me wow......i cried so hard (sad face)

  • DOES Mike know that Dukie does heroin?

Or does Dukie even do heroin yeT?

  • i think it's implied Dukie didn't start doing drugs until after all this went down.

  • I never understood why Mike gave Bug that shoebox FULL of money and didn't give Duke anything. He could at least given him a little something. How was Dukie suppose to survive with no money??

  • in his defense, he was on the run & under stress. we all can think back 2 a time we'd wish we'd make a different choice.

  • That box probably represented all the money BOTH Mike and Duke had. Bug took priority. I'm sure that Duke as much as he needed the money realized that Bug needed it more. Also, I think Duke did have some money with him., but he still needs a place to stay. Those A-rabers were the only home he had.

  • Mike can not remember because he has lost all

    his innocence.

  • why dont mike remeber that day dukie was talkinq about ???

    im losttt

can anybody help me with this ?

  • because he's not the same person he used to be.

  • because since this time he fdropped out of school and has had 2 pprovide for himself and he moved out the house he just not the same.

  • because he forgot the time when he waz a good kid and now he such a bad ass he just forgot his innocence and not has all guilt

  • My wife told me that Mike probably DOES remember, but he has to say he doesn't so he won't feel sympathy for Dukie if he sees him as a dope fiend on the street. In short, he has to wipe all compassion for Dukie from his heart.

  • no way.

look into his eyes, the confusion, the silence, the softness of his words...he doesn't remember.

A black void takes up that part of his memory where his childhood should be

  • damn dukie you too youn for that
