Voyager was a mediocre, paint-by-numbers Trek on the same level as Enterprise, and the Doctor was one of its few bright spots. Your mileage may vary, but I'd replace him on this list with Captain Janeway and that Conehead voice of hers. Ms. Knowitall was also the Gilligan character of the show. Had the crew mutinied and locked her in the brig, they could've been home within weeks.
@godlyfetus1 Jadzia is irritating in part because she's a Mary Sue, like Wesley. She's also overly meddling, immature and self-absorbed. She's played up as this exotic, erotic beauty/libertine, but I think the scripts play it a little too safe to sell that image effectively -- and Farrell, while attractive, isn't enough of a knockout (or an actress) to make up the deficit.
For what reason do you find Worf annoying? He was the only thing that made DS9 watchable. Infact only the enterprise crew, Welsey and Deanna troi are the ones I agree with. Everyone else is fine.
worf? what the hell? no wonder u have so many dislikes he's like the greatest starfleet officer ever. what about neelix? wesley ain even in the top 3? wow.
No no no, this list is all wrong. It should go as follows: 10) Wesley Crusher 9) Wesley Crusher 8) Wesley Crusher 7) Wesley Crusher 6) Wesley Crusher 5) Wesley Crusher 4) Wesley Crusher 3) Wesley Crusher 2) Wesley Crusher 1) Reginald Barclay
yeah, i think worf was best on TNG. the klingons look really different between TOS and TNG and on... in TOS they are like normal people wth beards :P but in TNG, you know, they have the foeheads and long hair w/ berds and what not. {i just noticed it, had to point it out.}
@chapynl I'm trying to set the record and most dislikes! (Kidding)
Actually I love the Doctor.... up until season 7, which is why I specified that on the video. That season he had WAY too many shows and all of them were the same theme... holographic rights. It was beating a dead horse, and season 7 Doctor became annoying to me.
@Christina314 I can see why you say this yes, everyone has got his own opinions, I admit that I had times that I found the doctor annoying in season 7, + it was the same theme, but its still my favourite character, no matter what:), I didn`t dislike this vid yet, (its a secret, will I like or dislike it?)
@mj4ever1332 Worf was on both shows. I love Worf in TNG, but on DS9 I don't really like him so much. DS9 did far too many Klingon shows that sort of demythed them in the process. The turned from samurai to drunk vikings, and it bugged me. It wasn't Michael Dorn's fault, but because most klingon episodes had something to do with Worf, he got dragged in the mud with them.
Worf, Jadzia and Nog should not have been on list and you missed putting Archer, Neelix, Trip, Harry Kim, and T'Pol on this list is beyond me. Heck even i can think of 10 more annoying characters the Rom.
Nog goes from a bus boy who can't read to an ensign in Starfleet. Name one character that went through the transformation he did. His performance in "The Siege of AR-558" and "It's Only a Paper Moon" was great.
I clicked like, b/c of all the dislikes, and I don't see what is so "dislike" about this video. Perhaps if there was some cometary, or Wesly was number 1?
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your ENTIRE list. You basically named most of the key characters in the Star trek universe. It's almost as if you're JarJar Binks and you are trying to stick it to trekkies.
@Orca8472 Hell, yeah, me too! :-) And I wonder whether it was writer's intention or just Louise Fletcher's acting skills, because usually enemies in ST are quite watchable or even enjoyable - Borg queen, Lore, Shinzon or especially gul Dukat to name a few. But somehow I always felt a little uncomfortable watching an episode with Winn. :-)
@baldurus1 Though I haven't seen it, it is my understanding that in the most recent ST movie they destroyed Romulus AND Vulcan. Seems like that would negate the entire franchise (including DS9 and VOY) and in the process either give Gene a reason to stop spinning in his grave or increase his spinning speed to about warp 12....

(Worf on the dislike list? C'mon...he gets my vote as best-ever just on the basis of his dating advice to Wesley.) Clicked 'like' not only to be contrarian but also because I do like the vid. Also adding to favorites....
This vid makes no sense at all and is very biased.
First, ENTERPRISE WAS BRILLIANT. In fact, my fave series of them all. Suck it.
Second, seriously, your choices make no sense. What about the dorky alien on Voyager? He was a HORRIBLE character, but didn't even make your stupid list. But Tom Paris DID?!?! Wtf?
And Dax? You must be female if you don't have a hardon for Dax. A great character.

@333oceanbreeze Maybe it was the acting that really bothered me. Although the character really lost me in the episode where he gets all up-in-arms about klingon assisted suicide. Also, baseball? seriously?
I call BS, you can have your opinion but I would like explanations on why these characters are annoying. Enterprise cast was not annoying actually they were one of the best. and what about Neelix and Harry Kim? Worf & Dax were awesome on DS9 and yes Nog started annoying in the beginning of DS9 but it was awesome to see him evolve into the first Ferangi to join Starfleet. However I will agree with Rom, Tom Paris, Wesley & Troi. Thanks for sharing
i dont know much about ds9 and ent but i can say this about this list it sucks.
tom and the doc definitely did not belong. i love troi and wes wasnt all that annoying considering that he was a kid. any kid who got to work on the enterprise and was a genius to boot would be like that. barclay was just a hypochodrac and lastly chekov was cool he was just mainly comic relief so i dont see him as annoying. so over all this list get a -4 stars the only reedeming quality being the music.

@bigred808835 Wow, "I only disliked the video because it had so many other dislikes"? I suppose I'll just stand back while yourself and the rest of the sheep migrate along. Way to think for yourself...
I can't believe LaForge did not make this list. A man with NO redeeming features. Not a great man for the ladies, and lets face it, he was whining far too much to have male friends either. Probably why he was a secret holodeck addict. You think he wore the visor cuz he was blind but really it was to hide red tired eyes from marathon holodeck sessions.
i think very few agree to this list. you insertd many characters who have a lot of fans (except Wesley, whom everyone seems to hate). i wonder what criteria this list is based on.
@harpiyon I love Worf in TNG, but on DS9, he's the butt of the joke a lot of the time, and DS9 did a lot with Klingons that sorta demythified them. Deanna empathic powers were useless, as she pointed out the obvious almost always. Chekov was an add-on, and felt like it to me. I don't fall under his teeny demographic so I wasn't interested in him. Terry Farrell can't act. And Barclay is such a worrywart he makes me uptight, and I don't want to be uptight when I'm watching something I love.
it´s your personal opinion of course, but you surely understand that there are a lot of fans out there who don´t agree to this list. i don´t either. i like most characters in the list. and the producers, scriptwriters etc. surely had their reasons to create them & keep them in the show. i think they, as well as the actors, did a good job.
Deanna Troi, Worf, Barclay, and the Enterprise cast all do not belong on this list imho. Enterprise didnt get the credit it deserved. I was one of the guilty who just didn't watch it for a long time. I then watched it online, every episode. It is the ONE series except for the original that didn't depend on every other series for plot support (except in one episode). Voyager, TNG, and DS9 all relied to heavily on each other and the original series for stories and thats lame.
@jharrod123 No insult intended, but ENT was all about mining materials from the other shows. ENT had shows with Ferengis and Borg, races introduced roughly 200 years later. The 2nd episode of ENT had a Holodeck episode, the last episode of ENT was a TNG episode featuring Commander Riker, Brent Spiner appeared as a relative of Dr. Soong talking about the Eugenics War, and of course the Mirror Universe episode. I'm not saying the other shows didn't do this, but ENT is DEFINITELY guilty of it too.
@Christina314 No, it didn't mine material, it used the aliens from the Star Trek universe. You didn't mention that it used Klingons, Romulans, and Vulcans in your point? That's because if you had you would have seen that it really isn't a good point. I mentioned the last episode in my original post. Enterprise was cool because it had a series long plot that was original, it used Andorians as the "bad guys turn allies," etc. The last episode is forgivable because the rest of the series was good.
@jharrod123 Sorry, the only good episode of Enterprise was In A Mirror, Darkly. You watch that and wonder how the rest of the series could be so bad when they can pull a story like that out of their bums.
@DefconWarningSystem I like to pretend that the whole series of Enterprise was Riker's Holodeck program, as seen in the last episode. That way it makes sense why it's so bad, it's not real Trek history, but just shameless Flash Gordon-like entertainment!
I think there are far more annoying characters than what you have listed: Neelix, Janeway (ignorant), 7 of 9, Tuvok and yes, Wesley should be #1 by far and Troi needs to be moved far up that list as well.
I think wesley is the most annoying by a long way. The idea that a teenager who hasn't even graduated from Starfleet Academy is able to accomplish ship saving tasks that the entire crew of Starfleets flagship can't manage is ridiculous
Yeah, I hate this list. I don't mean to insult you, but it just kills me. I didn't mind Wesley Crusher and I loved, fucking loved Barclay. I loved Reginald Barclay as a person who suffers from very severe social anxiety myself. I really like Deanna Troi when she was well written and acted. Like in the episode Face of the Enemy or in some of the episodes with her mom.
I agree with you about Dr. Crusher having no personality. I very much preferred Pulaski.
I agree totally with VigilanteNighthawk......if Wesley isnt #1 then your list is deffinetly invalid. Also,I disagree with almost the rest of the entire list as I like them all;especially Dax,Troy and of course...seven of Nine (what a HOTTIE!). Perhaps you need to re-think that list and try again. Nice video otherwise..
@TheSonicGod As a kid growing up with TNG, I actually liked Wesley. He was older than me, certainly, but younger than the rest of the cast so I related to him more. It's only looking back on TNG when I'm older that I started to dislike his character. The actor I love, especially now that he's older and seeing him in documentaries and "The Big Bang Theory". But it's the child actor part of himself in Wesley, that unpolished quality and over achiever aspect that turns me off from Wesley.
@TheSonicGod Just cuz Wil Wheaton has turned out to be one of the "cool nerds" doesn't make his character in TNG annoying. I didn't really like that character either.
I completely agree that Wesley should be number one. Worf wouldn't make my list, but Rom and Nog sure would, and by all means throw in the Grand Negus and Moogie. In fact why don't we just put "every Ferengi" as one, the same as you did with the Enterprise cast? Jadzea YES. Admiral Necheyev, what a bitch! Oh and how about Vosh! What the hell was up with her? Riker would be on mine too, but not Deanna. Jake Sisqo. Yoeman Janice. So basically, 10 is not enough
I see your reasoning, and won't complain. However, certain things take priority for my opinion. Jadzia Dax is *so* arrogant! I absolutely can't stand her! No one else comes close for me. Nog and Brom would be on my list, for your reasons, but lower. Realism is not that important to me. I would definately put Tom Paris much higher though. Barclay doesn't even make my list. Too much like my dad (who is a bit annoying). Why does The Doctor bother you? Actually, Kirk and Dr. Crusher on my list
@101jir I don't like the Doctor from season 7. Otherwise I love him. But Season seven he had sooooo many episodes and most of them were all the same thing: Holographic rights. After a awhile I got tired of the preaching. Dr. Crusher didn't make my list because she had no personality. She basically was a wood stump. You can't get annoyed at a wood stump... its just there, so you walk about it. And Kirk I actually really like. Anyway thankful for a kind comment. Its rare that I get one.
@Christina314 Ya, its always nice to get a non-troll comment, it makes me feel as good as you that you appreciate it. I just started season 7, so I see what you are getting at. As for Barclay, I guess it makes it a lot easier if you live with a person a lot like that day in and out. Good guy, just annoying. Personally, Kirk's attitude (obviously reflecting Gene's) is so sexist and bigoted. I praise you on your ability to tolerate Dax to the extent you do.
@ThirdRAILKink A number of episodes figure all sorts of cults, with absolutely no positive examples of religion.Kirk is the hero of course. Also, in The Corbomite Manuever, the character makes a passing referance to "deities that comfort you." This "exceptionally intelligent" being finds it disconcerting that they beleive in any "deities." Just about every episode, any female alien is either stupid or manipulative. The only exception is O'Hura, who is limited to a secretary-like position
I don't disagree that some of the depictions of women are sexist, but that doesn't mean Kirk is sexist. Contrary to all the parodies and caricatures of Kirk in pop culture, he wasn't just hopping from bed to bed. He actually had some very intense relationships and many of the women he fell in love with were strong and intelligent, scientists, lawyers, history changing social workers, etc.
@ThirdRAILKink but looking down on people that have a religion is bigotry. By depicting religion as bad every time it comes up is implying religious people are bad. And yes, that is bigotry.
Implying religion is bad is not the same as implying religious people are bad, that's ridiculous. In Star Trek many religious people are depicted simply as being decieved or misled, but they're not usually depicted as being bad or ugly people. I actually felt Star Trek TOS was kind to religion at times, like the episode Who Mourns for Adonis?, in which Kirk actually said to the God-like Apollo something like "we already have a God." Then at the end he seems remorseful Apollo is gone.
(con't.) Star Trek takes an atheistic outlook, it's true, but to call that bigotry is just stupid. Bigotry is hate and intolerance, and Star trek is neither hateful nor intolerant towards religion or religious people, it just looks down on superstition. And, God, what a thing to complain about! Star Trek is one of the most humanistic, anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-nationalist franchises in history. Are you a religious person?
@ThirdRAILKink Keyword there was "with many of the women." It was intense, but seems somewhat shallow. It was on a level that should have been restricted to friendship. Often, he barely knows them, and acts like he understands them completely. To put it in a closer perspective, pay attention to how the people in these cults act. They are exceptionally shallow and stupid, or at best fearful. Often, blame on the crusades and the like is emphasized more than Colombine and Stalin.
@Christina314 Also, my sister is kindof like Wesley, and she can get really annoying at times! Still, like I said with Barcley, when you live with people like that, you get used to it and can handle it better. Wesley actually didn't start to annoy me until very late when his head got huge.
@Klasdness Yeah, that was kind of his goal. Everyone else on the show found him annoying too. I liked him, though. After TNG, though, he became just another recurring character. Not very interesting.
Uh, this could almost pass as a list of the top 10 best Star trek characters lol. EMH, Worf, Chekov, Nog, Jadzia, Barclay, and Rom are all beloved by Star Trek fans.
Only character on the list who was legitimately a bad character is Wesley.
the only good thing in enterprise was the intro.

Worf? Deanna Troi? Chekov? Jadzia Dax? Barclay?
i think very few agree to this list. you insertd many characters who have a lot of fans (except Wesley, whom everyone seems to hate). i wonder what criteria this list is based on.
harpiyon 3 months ago
@harpiyon I love Worf in TNG, but on DS9, he's the butt of the joke a lot of the time, and DS9 did a lot with Klingons that sorta demythified them. Deanna empathic powers were useless, as she pointed out the obvious almost always. Chekov was an add-on, and felt like it to me. I don't fall under his teeny demographic so I wasn't interested in him. Terry Farrell can't act. And Barclay is such a worrywart he makes me uptight, and I don't want to be uptight when I'm watching something I love.
Christina314 3 months ago
@Christina314 thanks for explaining. i see.
it´s your personal opinion of course, but you surely understand that there are a lot of fans out there who don´t agree to this list. i don´t either. i like most characters in the list. and the producers, scriptwriters etc. surely had their reasons to create them & keep them in the show. i think they, as well as the actors, did a good job.
but it´s OK, it is your list.

Your list sucks.
osakanone 3 months ago
Deanna Troi, Worf, Barclay, and the Enterprise cast all do not belong on this list imho. Enterprise didnt get the credit it deserved. I was one of the guilty who just didn't watch it for a long time. I then watched it online, every episode. It is the ONE series except for the original that didn't depend on every other series for plot support (except in one episode). Voyager, TNG, and DS9 all relied to heavily on each other and the original series for stories and thats lame.
jharrod123 3 months ago
@jharrod123 No insult intended, but ENT was all about mining materials from the other shows. ENT had shows with Ferengis and Borg, races introduced roughly 200 years later. The 2nd episode of ENT had a Holodeck episode, the last episode of ENT was a TNG episode featuring Commander Riker, Brent Spiner appeared as a relative of Dr. Soong talking about the Eugenics War, and of course the Mirror Universe episode. I'm not saying the other shows didn't do this, but ENT is DEFINITELY guilty of it too.
Christina314 3 months ago
@Christina314 No, it didn't mine material, it used the aliens from the Star Trek universe. You didn't mention that it used Klingons, Romulans, and Vulcans in your point? That's because if you had you would have seen that it really isn't a good point. I mentioned the last episode in my original post. Enterprise was cool because it had a series long plot that was original, it used Andorians as the "bad guys turn allies," etc. The last episode is forgivable because the rest of the series was good.
jharrod123 3 months ago
@jharrod123 Sorry, the only good episode of Enterprise was In A Mirror, Darkly. You watch that and wonder how the rest of the series could be so bad when they can pull a story like that out of their bums.
DefconWarningSystem 2 months ago
@DefconWarningSystem I like to pretend that the whole series of Enterprise was Riker's Holodeck program, as seen in the last episode. That way it makes sense why it's so bad, it's not real Trek history, but just shameless Flash Gordon-like entertainment!

And The Doctor? Seriously? WTF is wrong with you?
Sylar03 3 months ago
I think there are far more annoying characters than what you have listed: Neelix, Janeway (ignorant), 7 of 9, Tuvok and yes, Wesley should be #1 by far and Troi needs to be moved far up that list as well.
inkspray 3 months ago
I think wesley is the most annoying by a long way. The idea that a teenager who hasn't even graduated from Starfleet Academy is able to accomplish ship saving tasks that the entire crew of Starfleets flagship can't manage is ridiculous
Hams505 3 months ago
Dax more annoying than Wesley? The poster is either a woman or gay.

Not bad. I would have put Wesley a bit higher on the list.
dewfall56 3 months ago

TheSonicGod 4 months ago
@TheSonicGod As a kid growing up with TNG, I actually liked Wesley. He was older than me, certainly, but younger than the rest of the cast so I related to him more. It's only looking back on TNG when I'm older that I started to dislike his character. The actor I love, especially now that he's older and seeing him in documentaries and "The Big Bang Theory". But it's the child actor part of himself in Wesley, that unpolished quality and over achiever aspect that turns me off from Wesley.
Christina314 4 months ago
@TheSonicGod Just cuz Wil Wheaton has turned out to be one of the "cool nerds" doesn't make his character in TNG annoying. I didn't really like that character either.
jharrod123 3 months ago
I completely agree that Wesley should be number one. Worf wouldn't make my list, but Rom and Nog sure would, and by all means throw in the Grand Negus and Moogie. In fact why don't we just put "every Ferengi" as one, the same as you did with the Enterprise cast? Jadzea YES. Admiral Necheyev, what a bitch! Oh and how about Vosh! What the hell was up with her? Riker would be on mine too, but not Deanna. Jake Sisqo. Yoeman Janice. So basically, 10 is not enough
flowertrue 4 months ago
I see your reasoning, and won't complain. However, certain things take priority for my opinion. Jadzia Dax is *so* arrogant! I absolutely can't stand her! No one else comes close for me. Nog and Brom would be on my list, for your reasons, but lower. Realism is not that important to me. I would definately put Tom Paris much higher though. Barclay doesn't even make my list. Too much like my dad (who is a bit annoying). Why does The Doctor bother you? Actually, Kirk and Dr. Crusher on my list
101jir 4 months ago
@101jir I don't like the Doctor from season 7. Otherwise I love him. But Season seven he had sooooo many episodes and most of them were all the same thing: Holographic rights. After a awhile I got tired of the preaching. Dr. Crusher didn't make my list because she had no personality. She basically was a wood stump. You can't get annoyed at a wood stump... its just there, so you walk about it. And Kirk I actually really like. Anyway thankful for a kind comment. Its rare that I get one.
Christina314 4 months ago
@Christina314 Ya, its always nice to get a non-troll comment, it makes me feel as good as you that you appreciate it. I just started season 7, so I see what you are getting at. As for Barclay, I guess it makes it a lot easier if you live with a person a lot like that day in and out. Good guy, just annoying. Personally, Kirk's attitude (obviously reflecting Gene's) is so sexist and bigoted. I praise you on your ability to tolerate Dax to the extent you do.
101jir 4 months ago
@101jir
When is Kirk sexist or bigoted? Examples please? I can see that complaint about Chris Pine's Kirk, but Shatner's? In TOS? Really?
ThirdRAILKink 3 months ago
@ThirdRAILKink A number of episodes figure all sorts of cults, with absolutely no positive examples of religion.Kirk is the hero of course. Also, in The Corbomite Manuever, the character makes a passing referance to "deities that comfort you." This "exceptionally intelligent" being finds it disconcerting that they beleive in any "deities." Just about every episode, any female alien is either stupid or manipulative. The only exception is O'Hura, who is limited to a secretary-like position
101jir 3 months ago
@101jir
Looking down on religion is not bigotry.
ThirdRAILKink 3 months ago
@ThirdRAILKink but looking down on people that have a religion is bigotry. By depicting religion as bad every time it comes up is implying religious people are bad. And yes, that is bigotry.
inkspray 3 months ago
@inkspray
ThirdRAILKink 3 months ago
@inkspray
ThirdRAILKink 3 months ago
@ThirdRAILKink Keyword there was "with many of the women." It was intense, but seems somewhat shallow. It was on a level that should have been restricted to friendship. Often, he barely knows them, and acts like he understands them completely. To put it in a closer perspective, pay attention to how the people in these cults act. They are exceptionally shallow and stupid, or at best fearful. Often, blame on the crusades and the like is emphasized more than Colombine and Stalin.
101jir 3 months ago
@Christina314 Also, my sister is kindof like Wesley, and she can get really annoying at times! Still, like I said with Barcley, when you live with people like that, you get used to it and can handle it better. Wesley actually didn't start to annoy me until very late when his head got huge.
