  • I love George Michael so much, he is a true artist!!! :-)

  • hes such a great performer & thats me kissing a fool.

  • 21 people are fools...

  • if george michael was straight, he'd be banging A-list celebrities left and right

  • And to think he was only 24 when FAITH was released. Amazing talent!

  • The best secret crush song ever.

  • @77Saturn1 He is from UK

  • Dear George Michael: I know you read this shit from time to time. Please come back with a jazz album. Dude, you are the man. Wow. What a song. You are a legend, so please, while you are still sort of young, make a come back, jazz style. Thanks.

  • i think this is his best vocal performance of his career,

  • How is this song not an all time classic?

  • @kingcherub It is so classy I can't express it! Sounds like 40's music to me - so smooth and flowing. What a voice!! Again - so classy - like a Bogart movie!! I was 27 or 28 when this came out - and I loved it!

  • Ladies and gentlemen, Rick James on bass.

  • smooth..

  • Such a romantic song!

  • Our George, with what I consider his finest vocal offering ever...

  • I don't care what anyone says...George Michael was, is, and always will be, an icon.

  • That was GM at his prime..then pot and coke took its toll ........

  • i dont care how gay george michael is, he's a bad dude.

  • One of the most under rated singers ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrAztec1970 Such an awesome voice! I was blown away how amazing he was live.

  • Good Lord the breathy sexiness of George's voice in this song drives me crazy! This has to be considered as one of his most beautiful songs of all time. From the melody, to the lyrics, to his voice. The epitome of pitch perfect.

  • man this brings me back to san bernardino1988. 20 years old with my first official love spending time taking long walks.

  • THIS SONG RUNS DEEP ..... This one goes out to the one i loved / but was SO SCARED to tell those around her how happy i made her ... to bad society STILL has a hold of some people's lives ... we could have shown them all .... And I miss you - TRULY .... : (

  • this is my dedication to the one i let slip away.I still think of you often,Jody Lee

  • I was making out with my cellmate in juvenile hall when this came out.

  • Breathtaken voice..hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • brings back beautiful memories of junior high...I spent alot of time listening to album over and over again while doing homework.

  • Michael Buble's version sucks compared to this. nobody has the voice george does

  • Much better than Michael Buble.

  • Man, I loved this man's music. I used to listen to his CDs (and tapes) almost everyday on my walkman.

  • One of the purest and strongest voices in the business.

  • Still perhaps the most underrated song on "Faith," and one of his best vocals ever recorded. Trivia: He recorded the vocals a capella in one take (!)... An amazing song by an amazing singer/songwriter.

  • I see 20 people have either been KISSED by a fool, (or were the FOOL), lol

  • I like George Michael. I also prefer his version of this (his) song over Michael Buble.

  • Classic!

  • I OWN this song at karaoke. When I'm done,

the women FLOCK to me like the Salmon of Capistrano! ;)

  • once when i was a teen this song came on the radio and i saw a 40 year old lady stare at the radio....mezmorized speechless motionless.

that was 25 years ago and i never saw that look again.... from anyone anywhere.

  • @mc5philly I wonder if it was my grandmother that you saw get all fascinated by George's music. She is 80 now ( she used to look young for her age before she had to take care of her dying husband a few years back) and just adores George! :)

  • @mc5philly I'm so sorry. How unobservant you must me. Sad.

  • God he has a beautiful voice.

  • Billboard's #91 hit of '88. George hit #1 AC, #5 pop, #33 soul, in the US. Did he chart in the UK? God bless!

  • if that isn't the best advice ever, I don't know what is.

  • this is hands down my favorite george michael song...this and a different corner have some of the most beautiful lyrics i've ever heard.

  • I think that this is one of the best songs of the '80's and this is a great video.

  • masterpiece

  • Buble version is crap compared to this

  • @indkeith

    I agree.....

  • @indkeith Buble is a wanna be crooner (Sinatra) .

  • such a good song, such a good artist ...

  • man looking back george michael had such an awesome voice, its too bad he's not singing anymore

  • Such a beautiful voice...

  • This song is like if you want to chill

  • We all have been fools one

    time or another for someone

we loved very much. I love u, L!

  • I was so in love with George Michael back then. Oh well.......

  • @covnty i still am...his Music is The best ever !

  • @bronebomb I still get chills listening : )

  • Strange that he was strong enough to let sit happen! Great awesome song! He says' listen to your heart people! f you let them steal! If you listen to them you will become them! Listen to your heart and you will be. Wife and I think so!

  • I used to go to this dirty little dive bar which had a fantastic jukebox with this on it. I would always get really loaded and play this. It reminds me of college days, I miss them sometimes.

  • his songs are cool but i agree with jeremybalfe on what he said.i shall leave here after saying that he has some nice songs and he sings nice,i like that song praying for time,i guess if he wrote that song he could be some type of brilliant, but then again i havent heard him have too many deep songs like that.

  • good song but not his best

  • @cels728 Boy whatch your mouth this song is the beat

  • @leoshow1the1 this is like to chill clam

  • classic ballad by a great singer and songwriter

  • maybe I'm the fool

  • To Cari from the fool you kissed...

  • perfect song and recording..my favorite GM song.

  • this song brings back such good memories from that time period i will always be a huge fan of GM

  • I love this song! So Dope!

  • "strange that I was wrong enough to you'd love me too"

  • Perfect ! Beautiful ballad and lyrics. Great voice and interpretation.

The video seems to have been taken out of an old Hollywood "film noir".

You kind of hope to see Veronica Lake to walk into the 'cabaret" and kiss George Michael.

  • This is my first comment on YouTube, & I'm glad I'm spending it saying what a great song I think this is. What a great walking bass line, and his vocals at the end of the 80's was as good as any popular singer of the time. Takes me back to 1988, when I was only 7 & George was one of the coolest guys around! :o)

  • this is the song that made me reevaluate my feelings about george michael.

  • @morgoth3041

Did you find those feelings wanting? :)

  • When you look at all the idiots coming up now it's so sad. All those stupid tough guy crap rappers and crude, vulgar lyrics. Cerins like Jedward with their ridiculous hair. If they had to rely on talent they'd get nowhere. George Michael is an amazing singer / songwriter and performer. No one else comes close to his talent.

  • @caradino1 Michael Buble!!!

  • @IkirinI Sorry, I don't know if you are saying you like him ( Buble) or not. As far as I know he doesn't write anything himself. I personally do not like Michael Buble at all. I have to turn the radio off when he comes on as his voice is so annoying. I don't understand his popularity, I see no talent there. Sorry !!

  • such a classic beauty. Love this song!

  • I just tried to watch this video on GM's VEVO channel and I couldn't because it is "blocked in my country" (the U.S.). Why? That is so stupid!

  • Agree let's not get carried away he is one of the greatest not the greatest. Must Youtube give a year to everything movies, music, singles. If an avid George Micheal fan for example will remember this came out in 1988(Novemeber to be exact). The year need not be mentioned all the time infomation that can be left out. So remember he is one of the greatest. Hold your horses there.

  • One of the sexiest men that ever lived. Incredible...

  • Great song! Reminds me of a woman I once loved that listened to everyone else but her own heart. This song fits that former situation of mine perfectly!

  • I enjoy this song, mostly because it sounds like something you would hear in Las Vegas.

    Thanks for posting, friend.

  • George Michael writes some of the best ballads in pop. Virtually all of his ballads are beautiful and touching. In addition I love the fact that he is the biggest and one of the only huge pop stars to continue the crooning style of the 40s-60s. I love this song!

  • no no no. class of '95! what?

  • There is something in the words and the rythm that touches my heart.

This song is very well interpreted -- like most of Michaels' songs -- and it inspires romance and falling in love...even with a fool.

  • Behold, the face that launched a thousand BIC razor commercials!

  • so in love with this song, good to know its from the year i was born

  • George is a straight player. he's a god.

  • such an underrated singer i love this song

  • Class of 88 BABY!!!!!!!!

  • I looooooooooove him he so rocks :)

  • Damn, George Michael can really, really, REALLY sing. What a great voice.

  • This song is so tight. Still remember the girl I was so in to at that time.

  • @AgonnaP

yeah, that's the bitch of "old music" - sometimes you can't listen to it because it reminds you of something. But it sounds like it reminds you of something good, so :) more power to ya

  • I was 16 ! good memories

  • This is taking me back to when I was 15 years old and glued to the radio....

  • Awesome song kinda 50's jazzy with 80's twist! Love it!!

  • oh! my sweet 80's day!!

i can easily remember what i did.

  • Comment removed

  • loving it! so jazzy. thanks for posting this oldie but goodie!

  • feeling in 80's kind of mood

  • i could care less if he was gay...his songs are amazing and if ppl don't like it then thats their problem. they shouldn't watch michael if they are just going to hate.

  • This song is so sweet...

  • Lovely !

  • George Michael essa musica é demais.!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What this Gay/.hetero stuff? He is the greatest singer/songwritter of our generation and there are still guys tring to puff up? Its a song, and its hot.Who cares who he sleeps with at night. George is the most amazing singer/songwriter ...of our time.I grew up with this man,.

  • I agree with almost everything you wrote, but you lost me on the "greatest songwriter of our generation" part. He's pretty good, but let's not get carried away. People should just enjoy music and forget about the trivial nonsense.

  • @jeremybalfe no doubt

  • great song.......... great singer

gay or not.... is not my business

  • Not a fan of gay stuff --- but George Michael transcended all that with this album. This is one of me and my wife's songs.

  • george michael you are is great

    very jazz nice song

  • Incredible song! The melody is so unexpected and it's such a hard song to sing because of it's complexity. Well done Mr. G.M. And yes, he reallyyy can sing^^

  • hermosa cancion !!

  • As a heterosexual man I love this man. His music brings me back to great times in my life. George Michael is the king of pop in my opinion

  • I used to listen to this song aloot years ago. :)

  • ..........The man can sing .....

  • Oh yes he can!!!

  • 24 de diciembre, mi marido y yo bailando esa cancion, para recordarnos que no debemos separarnos nunca :)

  • this song reminds me of a love that got away.he too listened to other people.we could of been good.

  • One of his very best songs.

  • I think this is my favorite GM song. His voice is incredible and the song is lovely. I can't tell you how many times in my single days when I listened to this song alone in candlelight with several glasses of wine. The fast-paced ending would always have me on my feet shouting the words out along with GM. Love you George :)

  • the best of Michael

Buble is a new singer, fresh

    and more clasic

    because Michael singin more pop

    anyway I like both

  • george michael eres el mejor.

  • I have always loved this song.

  • desde siempre mi artista favorito lastima no poder conocerte en persona y escuchar en vivo tu presiosa voz eres lo maximo gran tema te adoro tu gran fanatica eka

  • heel mooi bedankt ,johanna

  • u kidding? His first solo hit was "Careless whisper" and second "A differnt corner"

  • Comment removed

  • u want me out of ur life now?

  • is this one of his first solo hits??

  • yes

  • Perfect Song better than Careless whisper

  • George is BY FAR one of the greatest musician of the eighties, one of the great male voices of all times! His talent is undeniable! He has a LOT of great songs (Careless Whispers, One More Try, Jesus To A Child and Father Figure are the first to come to mind) but this is surely THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ONE, and surely one of the most beautiful songs of all time!

    Amazing!

  • Bublé is as talented as George, he just does not write most of the songs he sings. But he's great and has an amazing voce nonetheless.

  • Having a good singing voice is not a talent, useing that voice and creating a masterpiece like this is a talent. Buble from what I can see is mostly a covers artist, and not a very good one at that. He bastardised this song.

  • shit man, Bublé's version of this song is beautiful as hell!! It's not as beautiful as the original version, but you should not say that he 'bastardised' it, that's an incredibly idiotic thing to say, no offense bud

  • just my opinion man, no offense

  • It's okay, we all have our personal preferences. Personally speaking I'm pretty glad that I can listen to both of them, I think they're both unique.

  • Oh my... the BuBle does this??? Why?

  • i dont think so ....Buble is in the same class as Britney Spears in my Opinion.

  • Such a classy and beautiful song. No sleaze here, pure class.

  • perfect lyrics. Love doesnt care about reason, everybody can become (or be considered by the others as )a fool when falling in love with someone......A lot of reactions cant be understood by those who dont know love !

  • I always loved this...I agree this is his best. Remember in like 1988 always showed this on vh1

  • Esa canción recuerda a las canciones de Salón....Con un toque de Jazz.

  • Amazing - and I bet most have no idea about this song. Another great underrated song of his is "Praying for Time."

  • This is his masterpiece. I don't care if he was singing it to a dog; It's perfect.

  • J'adore cette chanson d'un romantisme fou... George Michaël a une voix parfaite, et d'une douceur incomparable...

Et sa beauté physique est sans égal....

  • A friend's version of this song:

    /watch?v=tR5e-4zhkq4

    He's from Argentina.

    Thanks :)

  • he's singing to is manfriend.

  • beatiful intstumental awsome

  • song not clear

  • my absolute favorite of all his songs : )
