Unfortunate for me i chose Santander. The worst bank i have had. I have had several bank accounts not only in the UK but also overseas and i would say they stink. Customer service is shocking and as for the complaints department a complete joke. For the safety of your own health PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FORM THIS BANK. COMPLETE NIGHTMARE THAT EMPLOYS NOTHING MORE THAN MUPPETS.

I became a Santander customer when they bought out my bank (Alliance & Leicester). It took just a couple of weeks before the problems started, then the fees, then the appalling complaints procedure. My advice to you? Save yourself from a lot of stress and anger - DO NOT BANK WITH SANTANDER. (PS: Switching is easier than you think).

@formatation yes last time they gave me back my £30 they (stole out my account) ,.on the next monthly statement I found out they charged me £25 fee for giving me the £30 back / when I went back to the bank to complain .they said it was an adminastration fee because they had to put the £30 back into my account..as I keep saying this is a gangster outfit from Spain ..stay back from it ,,they will empty your accounts..
