  • Alright you it wasn't fantastic.......... It was meant to pay tribute to The Clash and London......... DUH OBVIOUSLY its not gonna be as great as the original its just a cover.......... Loads of ppl do Bon Jovi songs like Wanted for example....do we complain? NO......... grow up people........ And for the record I have alot of respect for The Clash..........

  • i like both the clash and bon jovi but The Clash's Origional is unbeatable, this isnt terrible. Joe Strummer is the only bloke who can pull this song off imo.

  • @gotaBadhabit3 Actually, I dont' care for Bon Jovi (as a band, seems an ok guy) but I think the song is so good that probably quite a few people can pull it off (if they have the nerve to try)

  • Look the way I see it........... Bon Jovi did this is an act of respect just trying to play a song they knew would mean alot to the fans!!!

Ofcourse it holds nothing to The Clash.......... of course their version is the best.... its THEIR song!!!

Bon Jovi were just trying to get the crowd going and show that they loved the song too..........

  • this version sucks, hell bon jovi sucks, PUNK ROCK LIVE MOTHERFUCKERS!

  • thesedays1988 shut a fuck up cunt, nobody can do better job than what The Clash and joe did so shut your mouth fucking scum bag, The Clash are the best, bon jovi are some cunts that destroyed the London Calling

    R.I.P Joe

  • 100% agree with you.

  • YEAH joe can be proud of his music now, bonjovi !

  • Ahh, I was there for this :) Loved seeing Toploader getting booed off stage :D

  • Good Lord Bon Jovi sucks. If Bon Jovi did it out of respect that I'll give them credit but if as I suspect they did it to attempt to win over the home audience then just 80's big hair tacky stuff. The Clash is the greatest band of all time.

  • The home audience of 70,000 (140,000 over two nights) that paid £50 upwards to see them and seem to go to every tour religiously.

Not the best cover they've done live, not the best song really, but they throw stuff in- keeps the act fresh.

    And the clash... not great.

  • @Richiesambuka Clash not great? tell me, what sort of legacy does Jon Bon Jovi have other than a couple of crappy movies?

  • haha, I would never imagine Bj doing this song.. :D

  • The clash did it better.

  • clash can be proudnow, that the biggest band in the word preformed it live

  • fuck. this 80's pretty-boy/has-been does this song no justice.

    joe would be very upset

  • This band really knows how to ruin a good song.

  • this band can play anything they want and they'll do it great ! Clash fans should be proud that still their music is playing nowadays for a lot of people that missed the punk era abd don't have a clue about them

Thanks for posting , first time I've heard this version !

  • no way

  • This is better than the clash.

  • man ,im a real bon jovi fan but i can say this is not better than the clash i love bj music but this cover was not good enough, i heard also we will rock and it wasnt so good but its great for me to hear my favourite band covering great songs

  • You've obviously ingested too much hair spray if you think this version is better then the Clash. Clash were the greatest live band of all time. Go purchase Westway to the World the first Clash live album and play it against any live album Bon Jovi has. you'll see.
