I grew up in Barrington so as a true native rhode islander we didn't get "all the way down to Jamestown" too often. But I remember driving over that bridge a few times back in the 80's in disbelief as to how narrow the lanes were and how unsafe the bridge seemed.
that bridge used to scare the crap outta me,specially in winter when everything was ice.you could high five a car in the passing lane i swear.woulda been cool to be there when it went BOOM,but i havent seen R.I in twenty years.
This was actually sent to me from my aunt. I grew up in West Warwick and traveled that bridge and sat in its traffic more times that I can remember! I now live in the Poconos, so I couldn't make it to see its demise. :(
First video with good sound and WOW that boom was LOUD! Awesome view, good job recording that that!!!! I didnt wake up early enough to go watch it :( But yeah good job!

finchard, I'm sure she will feel the way I did. All those childhood memories just landed right in the Naragansett Bay.

Wow. My wife grew up in Jamestown, and we visited a couple of years back. I don't know whether to show her this video or not.
