This hymn surpass any kind of religion, its a testament to just how wonderful the Lord Jesus is to give his life for mere humans! And by his grace and shed blood we ARE save from the pit of Hell just accept him a your Lord and Savior"By faith we are saved, not of works lest any man shall boost."
The song was written by Charles Wesley, brother of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism. John was an Anglican Priest. Athough "fathering" the Methodism movement, John remained ordained an Anglican priest.
I want to meet the guy who raised his right hand at 3:50 and both hands at 4:50. I do the same thing to a majestic hymn!

Well yes, it would be. It's a Wesleyan hymn. Methodism was a spinoff of the Anglican church.

Well done! As an Anglican, I'm glad to hear there are other Anglican churches that use this hymn....usually only the Methodists use it. Lovely organ!
